That said, the prices caught me off guard. Paying $16.49 for 10 wings feels steep. One thing I strongly disliked was that there are no calories listed on the menu. For anyone tracking intake, that's frustrating and makes it harder to make informed choices. Service was mixed. We waited quite a while for our food, but our server did come over to give us an update and let us know it was on the way, which I appreciated. Communication goes a long way. However, I didn't like that the appetizer and main meal were brought out at the same time. It defeats the purpose of ordering an appetizer. We were staying at a neighboring hotel, when we saw this place across the road. We love to explore local places instead of big chain restaurants... against the advice of the hotel workers we decided to check it out. I am SO glad we went to find out for ourselves! I went to the Beer Barrel during a visit to Findlay to watch my niece play in a production of "Annie," At the last minute we were accommodated with a table for twelve. The service was excellent as well as the menu. I opted for pizza and it did not disappoint! I am looking forward to sharing the leftovers with my husband :) Great atmosphere, service and food. Stopped in there yesterday ordered burger was told they only cook them well done I wasn't happy about that but ordered it anyway. It was the worst burger I had in a while. First the bun was cold the sandwich was so dry I asked for loaded fries well a little bit of cheese little bacon and green onions isn't loaded to me the fries were terrible the cheese was cold and the fries were not done. It took our waitress 10 minutes to come back and take our order after she brought our drinks. Being in management most of my working days I think this place needs help. If I could give zero I would ,ordered 2 backyard cheeseburgers with tap fries for pickup, told 30 mins, got there in 20, prepared to wait, but it was ready,both hamburgers were burnt beyond recognition, and I mean black charcoal pucks, fries are supposed to be a new addition, they obviously had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite sometime, they were old, and very dry. But I didn't come here to look at the furniture, I came here for a beer and pizza. Ordered a local IPA out of Bowling Green. It was very good. Also got the 'Italian Deep Dish' pizza. A few weeks ago, I had ordered a deep dish from The middle of it was very doughy. I had called and left a a phone call from the owner and was told that they would replace my order the next time we called in went there this afternoon to try to do that the manager there at this establishment pretty much called me a liar and said that she talked to this person that person and nobody has any record of it. It's one thing to order messed up and it's another to be called a liar. Had a quick dinner at this Findlay location. Found out that this is a smaller regional chain out of Columbus Ohio. The Findlay location reminded me of an older large BW3's but with a deeper menu. I ordered from the Italian selections and the meatball was amazing, the manicotti a healthy portion but the house sauce tasted distinctly like Chef Boyardee from my childhood which I liked at the time but burned out on by around age 8. The side salad was fairly wilted as if it was made 14 days ago and had been sitting in the open fridge on a plate. Overall though great service and a decent experience. The bar tender set a large plexiglass divider between us and the couple to our right. We ordered drinks first of all, my wife ordered a moscato from Pitule that she really enjoyed, she said it was quite fruity like she likes it. I ordered the Beer Barrel Blood Orange Shandy. It wasn't to bad, a little sweet for my liking. We ordered the roasted Brussel Sprouts as our appetizer, they were roasted perfectly with onions and mushrooms in some kind of soy sauce based sauce. Then we ordered the chicken Cobb salad and the thin crust Thai Chicken pizza. The salad greens were very fresh and the chicken was tender, great salad over all.
