I've been a fan of Olive since they opened (I believe in 2007). The women that work there are very sweet and do a good job. Only complaint is that pedicures seem rushed at times when they're busy. But the prices and results generally make up for that. read more

If I could, I would give ten 10 stars!! The management is beyond kind and their services are always done with diligence and perfection. From offering massages to coffee, Customer service is at the center of who they are. The past two times I have come, I needed a pedicure and manicure and only had an hour, not only was I out in an hour but I was so satisfied with the results! I was a regular customer at Olive from the day it opened, but no more. The new management, while making some nice cosmetic changes to the shop, has abandoned the high degree of customer service provided by the prior owner. Appointments are either not honored or are scheduled so close to one another that customers are forced to wait, despite having made an appointment. The new owner is abrupt and, at times, downright rude. I hung in for a few weeks after the place changed hands, but my most recent encounter sent me looking for a new nail salon. read more

Should give them 1 star for the quality of the work but I will give them 2 because they were able to take me as a walk-in. I wanted to get acrylics and since they did plain ole acrylics (unlike the 2 other salons I previously went to), I sat down and let the lady go to work. Halfway through she informed me that they would be $60 plus $5 for a french tip, so I might as well just get the gel for $70. For $70, these acrylic nails should be able to give me magical powers. Instead, they are uneven, transparent enough that my nail bed shines through, and cracking 2 days later. It took an hour and a half, they switched girls in the middle of the process and the quality is appalling. I highly suggest going to another nail salon in the area. read more

Under New Management ...... Just started going in March and a new owner took over in May. Jenny is wonderful, welcoming and has really made some incredible improvements. All "instruments" used for mani/pedi have been sanitized and are in the pouches that dental instruments come in. Wide variety of colors. New pedi chairs that are quite comfortable. I was in the Ardmore, Pa area and read some good reviews on this nail salon. They didn't do acrylic nails but did do gel. I needed a couple new nails and a fill. I usually acrylic, but agreed to get the gel. Well I'm very disappointed. Not even one week later and two of the new nails they put on have lifted and just to by i have had to glue them on myself. read more

This is the best nail experience I've ever had. Period. The techs are so gentle and thorough, the lotions smell incredible, it's super clean and they even put my purse in a nice basket (strange compliment but I appreciated it) Multiple massages, no gross latex gloves or blasting TV. I imagine it's crazy on the weekends I came in midday on Monday. I'm just so impressed. This is such a treat. read more

I wanted to treat myself to a nice manicure and pedicure so I chose this place because of the close proximity and pretty good reviews but I left a little dissappinted. First of all I walked in at a busy time so I asked if it would be better if I come back later so they wouldn't have to rush and they told me to come back in 2 hours, which I did. Neither the woman doing the manicure nor the pedicure bothered to introduce themselves and they were clearly rushing through that which should be a nice relaxing experience. One of them was sortof tossing their tools around and it just seemed like they didn't care all that much and made me feel like I was an annoyance to them for being there. The nail polish used was the same stuff you can get at a CVS and the stuff just would not dry! I was left under the drying fans and UV light and by the end my nail polish still hadn't set so I went ahead and started the drying over again myself since the women that had helped me earlier had left. After the second time it still wasn't dry and I ended up smudging several nails trying to get my wallet out of my purse to pay. Neither of the women who had helped me earlier were there anymore, so the owner offered to fix it.... the next day. I declined because I had to go to work in the morning the next day. I wish she could have just fixed it while I was there but then I'd be sitting there for an additional half hour again trying to let it dry and at this point they were closed. Overall not a great experience just because of how rushed it felt. I will give the place one more try on a less busy day though. read more

Sitting in the pedicure chair right now starting to write this- my first time here and so far so good. Came at 6pm on a weekday and it's just me in here.. Getting a pedicure and the girl massaged each of my legs for like 5 minutes straight and THEN came out with hot stones for more- AMAZING. Also got paraffin on my heels, not sure if that's the norm, but I needed it. Oh, then as you're drying MORE massages- this time an awesome back one! YES PLEASE. Only draw backs are: there are like no magazines to be found near the pedi chairs and the music is very old school (organ and piano instrumentals??), I also love to get BRIGHT colors but they don't really have any except in gel. But hey, for the massages I just got- well worth it. read more

I have been going to Olive for years and used to love it. It was purchased little while ago and the quality has slipped. Sometimes the service is good and sometimes it's not. When in a rush I've been told to go prepare for a pedicure, but then I'm left waiting there for 20 minutes. Would have appreciated if they told me that they were running 20 minutes late. Could've used the time better. Many of the newer technicians do not speak or understand English, so explaining color or even how you would like to nail shaped becomes a challenge. read more

As a long-time customer of Olive, I walked in to the salon this morning interested in a pedicure. I brought an old gift card with me to use. The kind receptionist told me they could no longer accept the gift card, as it was old. She directed me to speak with a technician, who rudely refused my gift card, obnoxiously laughed in my face, and repeated over and over that the gift card was old. I insisted there was still money on it, so it should be honored. The technician kept laughing, in a store full of customers - highly unprofessional. Because of the manner in which they refused my gift card, I will never return to Olive Nail Salon. read more

I just had the best manicure and pedicure ever! The entire experience was wonderful! I was serviced right away. My technician, Mauri, was wonderful. She started by bringing me a cup of ginger tea, which is my favorite. She then began her magic, which left me so relaxed. I didn't want to go back to work. She gave me a foot and leg massage first with her hands then with the hot stones. It was amazing. Then just when I thought it was over, I got the most wonderful shoulder and back massage while waiting for my nails to dry. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. read more

I went her for a quick eyebrow wax and they did take me right away, however, when I went to be waxed the woman did not ask what I wanted done (keep them thick versus take a lot off). By the time I realized they weren't going to ask me, she was already waxing. Also, didn't give me a mirror or ask if it was ok when she was done. It was cheap, but I got what I paid for!! read more

As a new resident to Ardmore in July, I did a lot of research on salons in the area even before I moved in. I had gone to the same salon in NJ for 6 years and my nail tech knew exactly what techniques worked to keep my polish lasting longer. Needless to say, I had high expectations. I was really disappointed by the first few places that I tried in Ardmore...until a friend suggested Olive. Wow, what a difference! The salon may not look as fancy as others, but the staff, quality and service are something to rave about. I've had several gel manicures and all of them were great - nails shaped well, polish applied perfectly (not too thick) and the best part, they lasted the full 2 weeks (probably longer if I didn't pick them or get tired of the color). They have a nice color selection, plus they give you a free paraffin hand wax in the fall/winter months and a neck massage while you dry your nails! I also had a spa pedicure, which they sometimes offer for $35 instead of $50, and it was AMAZING! The staff are all very friendly, thorough and never make you feel rushed. I would suggest making an appointment as they only have 4 nail techs and sometimes get busy. The prices are competitive, $25 for gel mani, but coming from a town where i used to pay $30-35, this is a bargain. Definitely worth a try! read more
