The ceremony site felt intimate under the trees and the dinner area had a beautiful view of the vineyards. This special venue has such a great set up. As a guest, it was nice that everything was all on-site, but there were clear areas that helped designate the reception area from the ceremony turned dance floor. One cool feature was that the bride and groom utilized a side bar area next to the dance floor for a whiskey tasting lounge. It was a unique touch that made their wedding stand out! The venue owner, Dan, was HIGHLY involved throughout the day. He was highly attentive, but also highly present. Something to keep in mind if you'd prefer more behind the scenes vendors. What a joy getting to witness such special friends getting married in such a beautiful place!

We ended up leaving part way through to find dinner, and upon returning there was no parking anywhere, even on the street. This is a great problem to have, I think, because it proved the turnout and support of a community this dedicated, even in a small space. Regardless, we ended up parking 7 blocks down and walking, which proved to be a challenge once the event was over and was dark with no street lights. Overall quite the venue, and such a great asset to the City of Sebastopol!

The grounds took our breath away, but it was also Denise's expertise and understanding of our limited budget that helped us decide this was the right venue. Throughout planning Denise was amazing and answered all of my insane questions and did multiple tours with family members. We decided to go with Preferred Sonoma Caterers from their vendor list and we were really happy with them as well. Sova including tables and chairs was amazing, and we did all our other rentals through PSC. We also rented the farmhouse for the week which I highly recommend. Our pictures from around the house turned out amazing. I have to stress that the website pictures don't do this place justice. It's beyond gorgeous. Overall, Sova was an exceptional backdrop to our day and I highly recommend it as a venue. Schedule a tour if you're on the fence, you won't regret it!

Needed to find a venue to hold 15 attendees for a women's retreat so I rented out the whole venue -…read moreit was the perfect size! We were very excited to each have our own rooms with attached bathrooms, and felt like QUEENS... I personally was in Room #6 upstairs with a cute little balcony. The bed was so luxurious and ridiculously comfortable that it made it really hard to get out of bed and face the day (side note: they are clearly brand-new beds and incorrectly spoken about on that negative review, so take that one with a grain of salt, SMH); Some had deep jetted tubs, some had ADA walk-in showers, something to accommodate everyone's needs! Each bathroom even had extra amenities you wouldn't expect like make-up remover and cotton balls - such a nice touch! One thing I was worried about was the traffic noise at night, but it was not an issue at all, which just shows that the insulation renovations that were completed really were impeccable and every last comfort was thought of for their guests. Access to the kitchen and laundry facilities was also a huge plus as well for last minute weather needs! I highly recommend this gem in Sonoma County when you book your next wine country adventure! =)

There was hair all over the floor and in the shower drain. There were spiders and dead ants in the bath/shower area and random trash left on the room. The road noise made sleeping almost impossible except during the wee hours of the morning. The room itself is probably 30 feet from a major 4-lane road with heavy traffic. Overall for the price I was very disappointed in the state of the room itself more than anything. To the host's credit they had someone come clean the room while we were out for the day, which was much appreciated. If the property was quieter I'd probably give it another shot but the combo of issues really killed our stay.
