Who doesn't love libraries?!…read more This library is our favorite! It is kept clean, organized, and have a wide variety of children's books to choose from. Staff and volunteers are always helpful. As other libraries, this branch also offer self-checkouts and easy drop offs. They they also offer automatic extension for borrowed items and you can also put books on hold if you are waiting on a specific one. I also had a privilege of using one of the conference rooms with other mom friends to help our kids with their homework. Parking is ample and is located in downtown Brentwood, so you can also shop, eat, play and walk around after. If you also want to support the library, one way is to check out their second hand books on the second floor or donate books as well.

Cristina is the housing administrative secretary located at the senior center. In 2024 concord enacted their "Residential Tenant Protection Program" municipal code 19.40 Their portal was down, the requirements to register changed, and the system was overloaded. Over 9000 rentals in concord were affected. I am not only a Renter & Tenant myself, but I also own rentals as a landlord and manage property. We love our tenants and the blue collar landlords that we work with- but hate these new regulations. Cristina was very knowledgeable in helping us navigate setting up the portal and registering multiple properties. Her insight, knowledge and expertise was a tremendous help!!! She gave us her personal card and email so we can follow up with questions (which I will be Sharing with tenants and landlord both) Her honestly, advice and resources were a breath of fresh air considering how difficult it has been trying to navigate and interpret the new law. Unfortunately, I think the additional red tape will cause rental prices to increase in concord, and in the long run will damage the free market. The librarians are always helpful and there's just always a calming atmosphere inside. It's nice to see all sorts of folks in there either using the computers or just sitting down to read or study. Been going to this library before it was remodeled. I fondly remember many field trips here and getting my first library card with my dad. Used to play educational games on the now old school computers back then and checking out a bunch of kids books like Amelia Bedelia. This library helped spark my love for reading. Glad I'm still able to use this great resource today as an adult.

We have lived here for almost five years now and are the second owners of a phase 1 home built in 2010. Pros: No homeowner association (see city in cons section). The neighborhood has a good, diverse mix of blue and white collar families with very few of those neighbors you hope your kids don't grow up to be. Walking distance to the elementary school - a con if you dont have kids and dislike the noise and weekday morning and afternoon crowds. A nicely maintained city park is in walking distance. There's a city dog park across Garin Parkway just outside the neighborhood. We are also in walking distance to the Sunset athletic complex, and not too far from downtown Brentwood though that's more of a short hike. There are very few businesses out here, which makes stepping out on foot to get food difficult or groceries almost impossible. Streets are well maintained and additional phases are still being built out, meaning the builder is still on the hook to keep things functional and clean. Cons: City - they are overreaching and have turned themselves into a veritable homeowners association. They have standards for lawn height, weeds, trees, etc. Want to replace a light switch? Get a permit. Close to school (see above). Close to waste water treatment plant, some days it can smell bad here.
