    Miranda M.

I scheduled online with Jamie for July 2nd for laser hair removal. Jamie never introduced herself and jumped right into confirming what areas I wanted laser on and talking about the type of results I would see from the first session. She asked if I had any questions and asked if I needed to know pricing and then explained the packages. I wanted to try it out first before making a commitment so I said I would buy this first session and come back for a package. That was the extent of the conversation before she had me get undressed and was ready to begin. When she began on my underarms, the pain was unbearable. I winced and told her wow, I've had laser before years ago and do not remember it being this painful. Her response was "yeah, it's not comfortable." When she started on my Brazilian bikini, I could not handle the pain and told her "I usually have a high pain tolerance, but this is really terrible." Her response was, "Well, laser is a different kind of pain." As she continued and I continued to sweat, wince, and squirm, she said she could turn the laser down if I needed her to and I said yes please. She was doing the laser in one full length motion, which was something that didn't help for tolerating the pain, so she asked if it would be better if she did just a few zaps at a time. I said yes. Well, when it was time to do my lower legs, she must have turned it back up and she did NOT do small sections or a few zaps at a time -- she went from the top of my knee all the way to my ankle. I continued to sweat profusely, and I was wincing and squirming. My legs were in unbearable pain -- this coming from someone that raced BMX at the national level and has had multiple compound fractures and about 17 surgeries. I told her that I felt like a baby and her response was that laser definitely doesn't feel good. I got in my own head thinking maybe this is just how it is and hopefully she just knows what she's doing. There was no offer of making me any more comfortable or asking if I was okay. Two days later, I woke up with raised hives all over my lower legs, the part of my body that was in the most severe pain during my session. My Brazilian and underarm areas were fine. I texted the owner, Jackie. She said this is "totally normal" and is just a heat rash. She told me to put some hydrocortisone on it and let her know if it got worse over the next few days. Two of the many, many hives were much larger than the others and did break and ooze a little. By day 4 after the session, the hives were beginning to get smaller but turn purple. After calling around and speaking with other med spas in the area, speaking with my aunt who is laser certified in Arizona who shared the story with her past laser educator, I determined this heat rash was not "totally normal" and it was the fault of the laser tech that performed the treatment. One of the nurses I spoke with specifically said, "Laser is uncomfortable and sometimes a bit painful but should never be intolerable or unbearable and if that is your experience, then you are in the wrong place." I texted Jackie, the owner, again about my concerns and requested a partial refund. I sent her pictures of my legs. Jackie said she doesn't do refunds over the phone and would need to see me in person. She also said she would like to have Jamie call me. Jamie called me and was immediately defensive. She did not start off with an apology. She started with "I tell all my patients at the beginning that if the laser is to hot and they need me to turn it down I would be happy to and you never verbalized that you were in pain." I was in shock and completely APPALLED at her defensiveness and severe lack of customer service skills. She did NOT once tell me that in the beginning as you'll recall from my recollection of how my appointment began and she only offered to turn it down when I DID verbalize my pain. I verbalized my pain MULTIPLE times AND it is a laser technicians job to understand the cues of pain from their client -- profuse sweating, shaking, squirming, wincing, kicking feet. Especially after the pain was verbalized and nothing was done so all I had left to do was give physical cues. As I explained this to Jamie over the phone, she continued to interrupt me and be completely rude. During my appointment with Jackie, she completely defended Jamie, basically blamed my skin, but did refund me for the legs portion of my laser hair removal. She said it could take 30-60 days for the rash to clear. She was just as unprofessional as Jamie, rude and condescending, even laughing as she made a comment back to me. I implore you to do your research and go elsewhere. Don't just research the reviews like I did. Call around, get a feel for how the med spa operates, and determine if the people that work there are professional and deserve your business. Also, don't buy a package right away, because if something goes wrong, you're committed and I highly doubt they'd be willing to refund you.

Living my best life and stoked to have an upper lip again.

So I had always been hesitant about getting injections and fillers. You see so much overdone work on TV. But I'm British and 40-something...which means my upper lip has all but disappeared. I went it and sat with Jackie and she talked me through everything. Gave me perspective on how to do things without looking "done". So I took the leap. And holy smokes am I happy I did. The results are so natural and I'm beyond thrilled. Their consultative process instilled confidence and they were so patient with all my questions, making sure I was totally comfortable before any decisions were made. And bo pressure to do anything at all. If you're on the fence, just go in for a consultation. It's worth it!

Cheek Filler and Botox. Still slightly swollen on the cheeks-- but loving the results!

You know when you tell people how old you are, and they say-- no way, you must have great genes! But really, you have a great injector... See Krista. Whether it's your first time or you've been botoxing since your 20's and getting filler since your 30's, I HIGHLY recommend Krista at Olive Tree Med Spa! Her technique is flawless, she has such a contagious laugh, and she will take her time to make sure that you get the results you looking to achieve. I won't let anyone else touch my face. The spa itself is beautiful, and set up for comfort. They now have an entire building to themselves, which lends itself to privacy and tranquility. Thanks again, Krista-- I'll see you in 3 months!

I have had the chance to visit Olive Tree Medical Spa several times now and always appreciate how welcoming the staff is every time I come. Finding the place can be a little tricky but follow these easy steps and you'll be there in no time. 1. Put directions into GPS. 2. Use whatever means of transportation to get there. 3. Park or stand in parking lot with building to your right. 4. Walk towards building and away from street to find the door. 5.Open door and walk downstairs. 6. Door is on your right. 7. Open door. 8. Boom. Okay, okay, so it's not that hard to find but now you have this easy guide if you should ever get confused. They share a space with a hairdresser too. One stop shop. Jackie's prices are fair and she's super easy to talk to. She also runs specials for holidays and the the entire team dressed up on Halloween and brought in all kinds of tasty treats for guests to enjoy when they came in for their appointments.

I can not believe how much whiter my teeth are! Thank you Ayme!
    Jamison H.

I just found out my favorite little med spa offers teeth whitening. Ayme is great and this was by far the most relaxing teeth whitening experience I've had. My teeth are 3 shades lighter. I am very pleased with the results! You guys are really getting this girl feeling her best! Smooth forehead and white teeth! Can't wait to get my sun spots taken care of.

My initial request on Sunday 1:21pm in blue

Unfortunately at this point my experience with this business now goes beyond just one, or even two, bad experiences. My first visit - Botox went well. The marionette lines filler on the other hand left me bruised for weeks. A few months after these treatments I went back for Botox only. I had an appointment with Jackie. While I was waiting for her, a couple walked in, she met with them took them back to a treatment room and left me sitting there. 15 minutes later, Jo the partner at the time, brought me back to a room, told me Jackie couldn't see me so she would do my treatment. Being passed off to another person was incredibly awkward and made me feel very uncomfortable. I wasn't buying a cup of coffee, I was there to have Botox which involves a level of trust and comfort with the practitioner. Needless to say I hadn't been back. I also held off on writing a negative review until now because of the following... I started receiving text marketing messages that I never authorized. The first couple of messages were a bit odd, and imo borderline inappropriate for a business marketing message - one message read 'hey gorgeous' (which was all I could see first) then when you clicked to read, listed the promotions and business. From my viewpoint I saw a text from a number I don't know and 'someone' calls me gorgeous ..it comes across as condescending at best. Given I couldn't quickly find the way to unsubscribe I continued to delete their messages, until this weekend when I was tired of deleting them, and still did not see a way to unsubscribe. Which brings me to this review. I've uploaded images of the text between myself and Olive Tree when I ask to be removed from text marketing messages. The final response was unnecessarily defensive, irrational and antagonistic. I only wanted to stop getting these text messages (that I never authorized in the first place) so I could stop being reminded of my bad experience... I should not have to be scolded and shamed for that. I'm exhausted just writing this so hope it proves useful to others.

And the filler in the cheeks is amazing! I'm in love with my

OMGOSH! I went to vist Megan and WOW! I have had my lips done 3 times before, but never like this. I only needed half a syringe of juvaderm, so she put the remaining in my cheeks. Its only been an hour, so I know the results will just get better in the next week. But I will never go anywhere else! Plus she's a complete sweetheart and super down to earth. Thank you Megan! My husband scheduled what was clearly communicated and booked (with both Molly and the spa) as a touch-up service with a set price of $150. During his visit, he was told he had a few additional hairs on his neck, which were quickly treated. However, at checkout, he was charged $300--double the quoted price. When I reached out for clarification, I was told he had been treated for a full area, which was not accurate based on what was actually done. Despite explaining this, we were told we were lying and that they would stand behind their new employee. A week later, I received a phone call informing both of us that we were no longer welcome as clients and to "find somewhere else to go." After I shared my experience in a review, I was then contacted again and threatened with legal action if I did not remove it. This situation was extremely unprofessional and disappointing, especially after years of being a customer. Based on this experience, I would NOT recommend this spa due to poor communication and lack of customer service. Things are good until they are not.

After being a client for several years, I'm disappointed to write this…read more My husband scheduled what was intended to be a small touch-up appointment for a laser hair removal of an area that was missed during his initial appointment. During the visit, additional areas were treated after being asked if he'd like a few darker spots addressed. At no point was it communicated that this would convert the service into a full treatment at DOUBLE the expected cost. This review is not about the amount of money but about clear communication and transparency. If a service is being upgraded or significantly increasing in price, that should be clearly discussed and agreed upon before proceeding. I reached out privately to address the miscommunication, but the conversation escalated substantially rather than focusing on resolving the concern. The owner waited a week and then I woke up to a personal text message asking my husband and myself to never come back to her spa. If you book service here, make sure to discuss every minute thing around your service as your bill may be higher than you bargained for. Instead of you using this as a teaching opportunity to help her employee understand clear communication needs to be had before increasing the service as well as the charge associated with that, she used it as an opportunity to try to take advantage of a long-standing client. You don't put that kind of blame on the client. Her learning curve should not be at the expense of clients. You take on that risk and responsibility as the owner and her employer and you make it right without backlashing. Clear communication around pricing is essential in any business, especially in aesthetics. I hope this feedback encourages more transparency in this area when it comes to other clients.

I had been going to a spa closer to Denver for almost a year: electrolysis, laser hair removal, and laser tattoo removal. The convenience of everything under one roof was appealing. But it was a long process with minimal results. And when my tattoo was not lifting well, they 'turned up the laser' and I walked away with 2nd degree burns. Frustrated I happened in Castle Laser Electrology because I pass them on my way home from work. They are a small little clinic with a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere. We discussed how they do it a little differently, with multiple needles at a time. This process as I said was a little more costly up front, however the results are amazing. One of the better decisions I have made for my body. I try to eat organic, exercise regularly, take care of myself. So it just seemed ridiculous that I was more concerned with convenience vs. quality. Lesson learned. I now leave my tattoo removal to the tattoo removal people, and hair removal to Castle Laser Electrology.
