The customer service is horrible and may as well just have an answering machine receiving inquiries. I recently asked for assistance on a septic pumping emergency on one house and scheduling a pumping service on another. Hamm could not schedule the emergency pumping. I scheduled the non emergency to be pumped out for Nov 11, 2 months later. So a customer of 30 years was not assisted on an emergency. Not sure how Hamm can even advertise emergency service pumping? I had to hire another company for the emergency pumping to be done the next day. Two months later Hamm septic customer service left a voicemail stating they needed my credit card information or they would cancel my pumping. I am retired and was out golfing when I received the message. I was a little upset to receive the threat of cancellation after waiting 2 months. I called and explained I was upset and Hamm would get my card information when I get pumped out. I explained that I would be home during the pumping. The office person Carla left another voicemail effectively canceling my appt unless I provide my card info. My appt was cancelled when I did not see the last voicemail. Hamm is apparently fine with conducting business without regard for any consequence to the customer. During this time where there are frequent messages and attempts to steal financial information from people. I will not and nobody should have to provide card or banking info prior to the work being done. I am not familiar with the individuals that are leaving the Hamm messages. I can only surmise that Hamm wont take cash or a personal check for payment. I attempted to contact the Better business bureau to register a complaint but Hamm is not a member. I scheduled my pumping with Garside and was assisted immediately for 1 1/2 weeks out. I was told I did not have to be present and I could leave a personal check,

I give 1 star because I can't give 0 stars…read more I had an appointment with Soucy for my first septic system pump out on my new house in Windham. Called made the appointment, they said they could be out the next day and they gave a 4 hour window. Called back morning of the appointment to narrow down the time frame they told me someone would be there in 30-60 min. 2 hours later no one showed up and when I called them back they said they had issues with their equipment and wouldn't be there for another hour and a half at least I asked why they hadn't called me to inform me that they would miss their commitment, their response was not satisfactory, they offered a coupon. I missed work to meet them, I don't want a coupon, I want my septic pumped. I know this is a septic service pump out. But a phone call from the dispatcher is not a big deal to ask for when you miss your commitment

This went on for over a half hour until the fire department was able to place a boom in the valve. Even if it was a manufacturer's defect as claimed, if there were a boom in the truck, it could have been used to either stop or at least slow down the spill while the truck was pumped out. Interestingly, this same truck was spotted broken down just the week prior on the side of another road for over two hours. I find it hard to believe it could have passed any ligitimate inspection. That valve didn't just randomly break. As the driver said, it had been broken for years and finally let go. Lastly, the owner never once said he was sorry, and as far as coming back that day to clean it up, that's ridiculous. A gallon of bleach spread over a thousand gallons of sewerage did nothing. In fact, the fire lieutenant had to tell an alternate driver for Soucy Septic to finish pumping my tank and vacuum up the clumps of waste that were on my upper lawn as the tank cover was left open with waste still in it and on my upper lawn. I had to call back because even after he said he.had covered it, he did not.

So glad they were the ones to get back in touch! Kaiden was on it immediately, found the clog, took care of it and we were back in business in less than an hour. We could not recommend this business highly enough!

Had to have the pump in my basement bathroom pump-up tank replaced. While the job was eventually…read moredone, there were a number of problems. First, the tech misquoted the pricing (three times) on his way in - by several hundred dollars. I found this out being handed the bill on his way out the door - 'I made a mistake'. When taking the tank apart, broke most of the PVC connecting to the septic tank. It was all replaced, so I guess I got some of my money's worth, but they were unable, for some reason, to remove one of the tank cover bolts, so they just spun the cover around on that one bolt. We won't know until warm weather if they were successful in properly sealing everything back down. The entire area around the tank (my utility room) ended up literally soaked in septic tank water. The removed pump was deposited in the middle of the floor. (At one point, they wanted to walk a bucket of vaccumed up septic water through the house to dump it in my upstairs toilet.) There was no care taken to protect carpet in the process of removing any of the old (septic) materials out of the basement. There was no effort made to dry or disinfect the utility room at all. The second reason for the call was a clogged sink drain upstairs. We provided access to the cleanout downstairs. When the pipe was finally snaked, the resulting black clog coming out of the cleanout missed a waiting trashbag, and was deposited on the carpet, splattered in a living area. There was no protection used on the floor at all. The tech said, 'I sprayed cleaner on it, it will dry with no stain'. It took me personally two hours plus of cleanup work to remove the mess they left. I also spent another hour or so disinfecting the utility room. With their own photographs for evidence, I still had to make a number of calls to get the attention of their office manager, who finally agreed to a small refund to cover my time. This ended up as a bill of around $2000. Although the work was 'performed', apparently the concept of customer service has been abandoned in our current culture. I couldn't help feeling like they thought I should have had no complaints. I had a bunch, and frankly the $250 compensation off the final bill was still insulting. Overall, a horrific experience - I would not recommend this company to anyone, for anything, thanks.
