I liked the interesting drinks for sale in the cooler, including a few I'd never seen before. You can customize your ice cream with all kinds of toppings, or get it in a homemade waffle cone. There is a small seating area in the back or some spots in the front on the sidewalk. I will say that over the past several times I've visited, the service has not been the warmest. I don't love feeling like I'm a bother or not welcomed in to a place that should be as joyful as an ice cream shop.

It all started on a smoky, 87 degree Saturday in July when our camping plans got a rain check and we were open for a good time. Big Mini Putt Club was initially discussed but nixed because we weren't feeling the downtown vibe or $12 a person/9 holes. Then, we looked up AJ's mini golf but they had a private event scheduled. Yelp suggested Double Dip and after one ring, the employee on the telephone sold us with $3.50/person for 18 holes and recommended we come before 7p (thanks for the tip!). We parked, watched the first half of England vs. France at Walker Roadhouse and walked right over to the Depot. The course was perfect (no waiting around and lots of shade) for our 4 year old who got her first hole in one on the 15th! The ice cream/cone of ice came out quick (no line either) at 6:30p and we had our choice of picnic tables with umbrellas to enjoy. Overall, great family date night! We rarely frequent the west side, besides for the zoo, but will have to plan another trip before the summer ends.
