Your average neighborhood ice cream store. Nothing special. Prices have been going up and up - I get it. Just don't order a flurry here. Workers don't mix them and don't give a shit if you ask them add extra (and pay). All the candy was at the top and bottom was all vanilla soft serve (no candy lol) Went again, a week later. Same thing. $8 bucks for vanilla ice cream and sprinkles of candy. Not worth it anymore. Go to country sundae!! They mix their flurries for almost cheaper prices!! read more

Upon entering, you are greeted with the smell of fresh made waffle cones and exceptional customer services. There were two teenage girls working, who both greeted us with smiles and offers to let us know if we had any questions while we checked out the menu. I ordered the Brownie Sundae, which was just your average vanilla soft serve with hot fudge & brownie pieces. Where this sundae "showed up" all others was in the way it was layered. I watched one of the girls knock a stack of lids onto the dirty floor, pick up the lids, put them back on the counter, proceed to use one, and then not wash her hands after touching the dirty floor. Unfortunately if you want to contract Covid-19, this is the place. Workers serving ice cream are not wearing face masks. They're not using gloves. The shop has NO signs regarding Covid-19 rules, social distancing. The place gets crowded. Customers are not wearing masks either. I was going to get ice cream from them yesterday but the place was so crowded, obviously no 6' distance between customers and one of them coughing. I had never heard of this place before until late last summer and I went almost every week since! They have the BEST ice cream and so many different flavors. Had a rough day on the farm (one of the horses broke his knee) and needed a nice dollop of cream. Decided to head to "What's the Scoop" to grab a hot fudge sundae. Hours weren't updated on line. It says 9 online and 8:30 on the door written in red marker on a horizontal piece of white paper about 11 inches down from the top. Waited in line and ordered. I received a cup full of vanilla ice cream and about a quarter pump of hot fudge. Lazy work. Would not attend again. read more

We live in Georgetown and this was actually our first time ( 7/1/17) visiting "What's the Scoop". The staff was quick and friendly ( only two young ladies smiling the whole time and taking care of a consistent crowd) and the ice cream was delicious! I walk in the doors to quick grab my daughter a flurry and I was totally ignored for the first 5 minutes while the workers were sitting in the booths talking to what I assume were their boyfriends totally unprofessional. It was my first time here and I've heard great things but didn't feel the comfortable atmosphere I've heard it was. After not visiting this establishment for a couple years, I was quickly reminded of why I had not returned. Upon entering the 2 girls behind the counter didn't acknowledge us. We picked what we were going to eat and how many scoops to get. The girls continued making waffle cones and had a private conversation about a boy. STILL not acknowledging us with a simple HELLO. One walked away to the back room, when she came back she proceeded to continue her private conversation with the other girl. Then she took off her gloves, turned to us and asked if we were ready to order. She made our ice cream and we sat down to eat. While eating our ice cream I observed more of the same treatment to other customers and in fact saw 2 sets of families completely skipped so that both girls behind the counter could help people they knew. One of the customers that was skipped was a set of grandmothers with their money in hand, the other was a family of 6, who as we walked out was still not being helped. Needless to say as far as my family goes we will not return. There are other establishments with better more friendly customer service that will be receiving our money. read more
