I ride bikes. I own bikes. I take my bikes to Oliver's for service. All of them. They fix everything from flats to brakes to derailleur and hub overhauls. I even bought my bike rack from them. They do everything - they even put wheel decals on my TRI bike that look super cool. They found me bright purple aero bar pads when I had to have them. They custom built a bike that I rode across America in 2025. Read that again. Do you have any idea what went into building a bike that would go 4,300 miles and it never broke down - not once! I had to ship my bike - Oliver's even took care of that. For Christmas this year I bought my first E-bike from them. THIS IS MY LOCAL BIKE SHOP. Even with just a pink cruiser bike, I was treated with respect, provided with a clear explanation of what to expect in terms of price and timeline for service. In addition they reached out to let me know it was ready. When I brought the bike in it needed a bottom overhaul and new tires & tubes. After checking several places unsuccessfully to get replacement white wall tires for my cruiser, I agreed to the solid black tires. I was thoroughly delighted when I picked up my bike and it had gorgeous new white wall tires. Made my 12 yr old bike look brand new. I can honestly say I've never had a better customer service experience anywhere than the one I've had today and I'm old AF. Words do not describe how much I would recommend this bike shop and I this is the fifth one I've been to and Tampa and none of them are bad, but none of them are Oliver's. I started a run with my daughter only to realize the back tire of my jogging stroller was flat. I stopped by the local gas station, put some air in it, and it immediately went flat. I needed a new tire. I called up the stroller company and they said that the stroller was out of production. They had a few spare front wheels, which the could sell and ship to me for a large bill, but they had no back tires. Depressed I began putting down pints of kombucha and searching for new strollers online. Their prices only caused me to grow more depressed. At some point in my search I noticed someone had luck finding a tire at a bike store. I decided to give the closest one, Oliver's, a call to see if they could help. I explained the situation to the man at Oliver's who answered the phone and he asked what size the bike tire was. I told him. He said that is "a pretty standard sized tire" and they had a lot of them in stock. When I asked about scheduling an appointment he assured me that wasn't necessary. "Just bring it in and we'll get it fixed." I took a cold shower, sobered up from the kombucha, and immediately put the stroller in my car and took it to Oliver's. The place was bustling with people so I became nervous that I was going to have to wait. But, true to their word, the shop fit me in right away and replaced my tire in a short amount of time (I didn't look at my watch but it definitely seemed like it took less than twenty minutes). They pumped up all three tires on the stroller so that it was ready to be used as soon as I left the shop. I handed the guy a large bill and started towards the door. He said something about change. I looked at him like he was crazy. Change? I shot the lady next to me an "is this guy for real" glance and headed back over to him. Sure enough he handed me a handful of dollars back. I would definitely head back to Oliver's for anything that needed fixed when it comes to my stroller or bike. Their customer service was both knowledgable and on point, their prices were better than I anticipated and they fit me in even immediately even though they had a lot of customers in the shop. read more

I was recommended to come here for cycling shoes. And I recommend it as well! Staff was patient and kind, and ended up ordering me a pair of shoes in a color they didn't have in stock. They're super knowledgeable and provide great tips! I learned a lot in the less than 10minutes I spent there each time I went (2 times). They explained the shoe sizing, the fit of the shoe, and what I should feel during the ride, and what can be done if I have a 'hot spot'. The only critique I have is that they seem to only have one or two brands, and I didn't do my homework prior to coming on which type of shoe to get, but after some research I learned the brand (Bontrager) has a good reputation! Best part is that they were able to order the shoes I liked in another color, and they have a 30 day 'comfort' warranty, so if my feet don't like the shoes, I can exchange or return them. The type of service they provide is the reason to shop locally! I don't own a bike so I can't speak to their expertise on that, but based on the reviews I've read and my experience with them, I can only imagine it's high quality service! read more

I took a very cheap bike into Oliver's a little over a year ago for a tune up, I had started riding to see if I liked it and knew nothing about cycling. All of the staff over the last year has been amazingly helpful every time I come in and ask any variety of questions being a cycling noob. I have learned a lot from all of them. I bought a Trek hybrid bike from them right about a year ago now and have put about 1500 miles on it. I really enjoy cycling and credit Oliver's for supporting my new hobby in all ways! I have interacted with them to buy a new bike, get tune ups, a repair, more comfortable handles, electrolyte powder riding in the FL heat, etc. Great team and shop! read more

Called and asked about tires for my bicycle. Told to bring it on down. Went to Oliver's, told to come back in a week! Oh, and they need a deposit. Than, oh wait, nope, need to wait an additional day. Being told to wait the additional day was what just completely made their treatment of me unacceptable. I was going to make the appointment, and leave the deposit, until the complete disregard of Thursday is my only day off. The bike is my only mode of transportation. I rode it 12 miles over to get the tires. If it were to get a flat, I'd have no way to get the bike back there. Guess I'd be out the deposit? I should not have been told to "just bring it by". I came in prepared to pay over $200 for specialty tires. I'll look for another dealer. Oh, and this will only take an hour after I wait 8 days read more

My son got a Trek for Christmas; the first shop we took him to was Oliver's; he saw it and loved it, so we didn't go anywhere else. The staff were very helpful; they placed the bike on lay away for us and also assembled it and held it for us until a few days before Christmas. We looked the price of similar models online and it was about $50 more than we would have paid elsewhere, but the convenience of proximity and layaway won out. We usually use a place just north of Ybor City to service our bikes because of their incredibly inexpensive prices, but I like having this shop right around the corner from my house. read more

Bought my bike there in 2013 when I first moved to Florida. It was the first time I was purchasing a real, heavy duty one. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to talk me through everything to make sure I got what I was looking for. We took bike for tune up and the shop was prompt in doing so and communicating with us sooner than we thought. Job well done. However, when picking up the bike my wife noted handle bars and seat had been elevated and requested they be corrected so should could ride with any problems. The person assisting us was rude to her and paid little attention, finally ordering another assistant to tend to it. This I consider condescending and rude to a customer. She was simply asking to have bike given back to us in same order we provided it. Perhaps some courtesy training would help. read more

Long time customer and neighborhood supporter of Olivers... Spent $$$$ in the store.. Went in for a software upgrade for an E-Tube Shimano Dura Ace software, understood the upgrade would cost $25 to $20 as per staff conversation..The application and firmware are free on Shimano Web site..Ignorant staff attempted to charge $50 for a an upgrade.. Separate charge for firmware and another charge for software...Went on to Shimano site uploaded and upgraded for FREE.. Needless to say OLIVERS LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER. This store has a reputation of bad uninformed sales people who dare customers..to save few dollars.. The ignorance is unbelievable..STAY AWAY I can wait for them to close the doors..It will be obvious why it occurred ignorance and lack of customer service. read more

I went here today for a mountain bike. Sales man showed me a 2019 used fuel ex 7 and stated this is a 4000 dollars bike on sale for 2000 dollars. I know bike shops frequently have exorbitant prices for service, but this is the upper end of what shops charge in the Tampa bay area. I came into Oliver's late Monday night (about 30 minutes before closing). The owner Randy stopped what he was doing to take care of my family. He stayed open late to make sure he answered all my questions and allowed for a couple of test rides. He took some extraordinary measures to arrange for the specific bikes my wife and I wanted.
