The worker put it up on rack, showed me how the new tape I just paid for at the other shop was put on incorrectly, AND showed me that my tire had see through patches on it, and clearly needed to be replaced. My tape, tire and tube were replaced, the cost was reasonable, and I was in and out of the shop in under half an hour. This is my new bike repair shop.

Folks were friendly and willing to have me come back later if they didn't have what I wanted in stock as well. Seeing that it was around the holidays I grabbed the bike and went on my way.
