my friend went here to get his motor fixed and when he got it back they messed up his brakes they did not work at all and his throttle kept getting stuck and he almost crashed because the throttle kept going and he had to turn the scooter off. He brought it back a second time so they could fix the stuff they already messed up and they told him it was fixed but they only made it worse and so he picked it up and it was still messed up and he was riding it and then the throttle started rapidly accelerating and he crashed. read more

Found this shop when my wifes bike had a flat tire. They had the most reasonable price for replacing the tube in the tire. Close to Citrus Park Mall it was also close to home. They did a good job for the money but they did not deliver on the date promised. I had to call and push for results. A couple of other adjustments they did for free when I went to pick it up. They have used and new bikes for sale and do repairs. It's worth checking out if you want to make a purchase, you might save some money. read more

It pains me to give them 2 stars because they are really nice people. But I've tried them 3 times with 2 different bikes for routine servicing and minor repairs. Each time, things requested to be worked on were either not done or things not requested to be done were done. I think its just extreme disorganization. On 2 occasions they got the service orders wrong and did alot of service and parts replacement which was not requested or really needed. Each time they were profusely apologetic and they clearly were not trying to rip me off. They just got the service orders mixed up. Each time they did not charge me for the mistake and each time it was over $100 in parts and labor. They are nice, honest people. Just totally disorganized. I had to move on. read more

This place is the real deal. I've had my bike serviced here twice and they really took care of my bike. My second visit was a little more in depth since my gears kept slipping. I received a bicycle for Christmas from my disabled mother, who is on a fixed income. It was to be used to help in my health journey and reach my goals to lose weight and focus on my mental health. I brought the bike to their shop to be assembled and when it was ready, came to pick it up. It had been sold to another customer. Instead of replacing the bike right away or taking any responsibility, they instead gave me the run around for nearly 2 weeks. They tried to insinuate that it was some how my fault and that the bike I brought in was not the bike they put together. They offered me a replacement bike that was nothing like the bike I brought them! They ended up paying for the bike and special seat I ordered for it. This was after a lot of back and forth and finally, when I threatened to sue or involve the police, this was the best they could do. To say the professionalism was lacking, would be an understatement. I am very disturbed by their fraudulent practices and hope this helps others in choosing a bike shop to use! read more

Very convenient location, Right off the upper Tampa Bay trail just before the bridge. Getting ready to go bike riding, we discovered one of our bikes wasn't riding correctly and neither of the brakes seem to be working, so we stopped for some assistance. Someone came right out and helped us, diagnosing the issue (the front tire was bent and the piece that holds the tire to the frame was missing parts...and fixing that should fix the front brake). We left the bike there for about an hour and a half while we walked the trail, and when we came back and picked it up the suggested repairs were made. The front brake was working much better and bike was riding smoothly. Repairs were done quickly, and reasonably priced. read more

I have been looking for a bike for a long time, Citrus Park Bikes had the best prospect I've seen. I came in during my lunch break to look at the bike and was assisted by Scott. I gave it a visual inspection and Scott asked if I wanted to take it on a test ride. I took it out on the trail just outside the shop and I knew the bike had to be mine. I told Scott I was interested but if they would work on the price with me. We spoke with Miguel and I made him an offer which we were both comfortable with. He accepted, and even cut the seatpost for me at no additional charge. He welcomed me to come back if i bought any replacement parts, within the next 6 months and that they would do the installation. I had taken a bike twice, yes twice, to University Cycle to fix an issue with a skipping chain. The second time around I made them ride it and they still didn't fix it. Eventually, I gave up for a few months. Then I was riding the trail and passed Citrus Park Bikes (CPB). I stopped and spoke to Scott, He quickly identified the issue as a stretched chain and told me to run it by the following day. When it came time to pick it up, he waited until closing for me to arrive and collect the bike. I will never go anywhere again in the Tampa area to have my bike serviced. Do not be put off by the appearance of the exterior of the shop. No frills, flash or big showroom. These folks are all about bikes, and superior customer service. I highly recommend Scott and CPB. I spent a good part of last year renting various styles and brands of bicycles to find the one that would meet my needs without breaking the bank. I visited a number of bike shops around the Tampa Bay area, and spent lots of time pedaling up and down the Upper Tampa Bay Trail in my quest to find a nice road bike. I'm no longer interested in competitive long-distance cycling, nor can I see myself plunging off the side of a mountain trail in some teeth-rattling thrill ride down the side of a hill. Nope, a basic road bike would do the trick, and that's how I started my journey. Most bike shops in the area were delighted to scoff at my request for a road bike, and instead pointed me to the multi-thousand dollar racing bikes. After months of searching, I stopped at Citrus Park Bikes on Edgemere Road, right alongside the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, and adjacent to Gunn Highway. Miguel and his staff listened to my requests, and pointed me to a nice selection of new and used road bikes, and suggested that I rent one for a ride on the trail. The rental price was $10, and I was able to apply my rental fees to the eventual price of my bike. I started with the Trek Performance road bikes and the Raleigh Militis racing bike (Old habits die hard), and then moved on to the Raleigh Revenio and Capri models, before finally settling on a Raleigh Route 3.0 which was drastically marked down since it was last year's model. Once I had selected the right bicycle, Miguel worked with me on a few customizations and accessories, and I was out the door with a great bike for a fabulous price. Since I typically ride the Trail, Citrus Park Bikes is a convenient place to park my car, check the air in my tires, and set off for an afternoon ride. Got lucky. Great place, had purchased a used Denali bike for $150. Salesman Scott was nice enough to drop the price from $190.

Me and my coworkers decided to go for a bike ride one weekend, but none of us had working bikes. So we rented bikes for 2hrs from this place for just $18. We were able to bike on the Upper Tampa Trail, which was wonderful. There was parking in front of the shop for customers, as well as people who just wanted to use the trail. We park there often now when we go for our runs on the trail. The guys at the shop are really nice and funny. Scott is always a good sport and says hi anytime he sees us. If you're looking for a fun bike ride, but don't have a bike, I would definitely suggest this be the place you visit. They even do bike repairs and sell bikes. My son and I went for a bike ride today -- first time on a bike in about 20 years in my case. Citrus Park Bikes had great rates, a good selection bikes, and provided the helmet. But it is their customer service that is truly outstanding. I had a minor issue with a chain derailment that we had to fix midway through the ride. I've been thinking about renting bikes to go on the Upper Tampa Bay trail for the past year. Every time that I run on the trail, I pass by Citrus Park Bikes. It's right next to Citrus Park Mall on the bike trail. Bike rentals are $10 an hour. This includes a helmet rental. They also have daily specials. There are multiple kinds of bikes available for rent like road bikes, hybrid bikes, and mountain bikes. I recommend renting a road bike so that you can quickly cruise down the bike trail. The staff is extremely friendly and helps set up your bike. It was a very pleasant experience renting from Citrus Park Bikes. read more

On my quest to become a real cyclist, I bit the bullet and purchased a new bike here. I had been advised by many people that my old mountain bike was not the right bike for me. Another shop recommended a city bike, but Miguel at Citrus Park Bikes suggested I get a road bike. They have both new and used bikes here for sale as well as daily/hourly rental. The store is located on the Upper Tampa Bay trail, which makes it convenient to zip in and out for an adjustment. I had my dog with me on my first visit and they let me bring her inside. I ended up purchasing a beautiful new Raleigh road bike. Miguel was willing to negotiate with me on the price since I traded in my old one. You can try out your options on the nearby trail, which I did multiple times - since I was having trouble deciding. They also had some used Treks. I think I spent more time deciding on a bike than I did when I bought my car! I feel confident about my purchase as an investment in my health and future biking career. I would recommend this shop for all those interested in purchasing a bike whether they are a first-timer like me or an experienced racer. They offer tune-ups and adjustments and you are welcome to return with any questions or problems. Overall I had a positive experience and now I have a new bike that rides much better than my old one. Terrible experience... 10 mins into the bike ride after renting two bikes the back tire popped on a clearly used bike and we had to walk all the way back. Once we got back they didn't even apologize or offer us new bikes or a coupon or anything and just took the bikes from us and said have a good day. They helped us pick out bikes, made sure mine was the right size since I'm so short. They are located right off the upper Tampa bay trail in the citrus park area.
