Olives and Peppers is a must try! Both Greensburg and Trafford locations are very nice. We particularly love the Greensburg location for the unique structure and interior. The parking can be a bit difficult to secure an easy spot as it's usually quite busy- so be sure to have a reservation! The Greensburg spot also has a unique upstairs seating area that we like to have if possible. Now for the main event- the food- it's amazing! From salads to pasta to pizza, you won't be disappointed. The whipped butter served with the bread is worth shouting out too! The chicken Parmesan, Alfredo, and pasta alla vodka were all delicious in the past- I would order any of them again. I recently had dinner at Olives and Peppers (Greensburg location). We made a reservation for 5:30 PM on a Saturday. It was already very busy when I arrived. It also took a bit of time trying to find parking. The space itself is gorgeous- it's a train station that turned into restaurant space. Our service was great despite how busy the place was. We ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer. For my entree, I ordered one of the current specials. It was a lamb and short rib papardelle dish. It was warm, cozy, and comforting. It came with a side of soup- I upgraded to a side salad. Also, the complimentary bread and butter was delish! The portions are very large, so come hungry and be prepared for leftovers! read more

Really enjoyed dinner at Olives and Peppers. The location is great in the old train station, although parking can be a bit challenging when it's busy. Very cool setting with a nice bar. The food was excellent and the portions are quite large. The garlic bread was smothered in melted cheese and the stuffed long peppers were awesome although I would've preferred them a bit more spicy. When the menu says 2 pound lasagna, believe it. I rarely take home a doggie bag but I did this time. Others at our table really enjoyed their entrees too. Server was good and friendly. Very disappointed with our last visit this past Sunday we were celebrating our son's 50th birthday. Service was mediocre at best pre-busing must not be a concern with your servers. I had to ask my server to remove dirty plates before our main dinner dinner got there and then again after dinner I had to ask again before we were given dessert. I ordered ravioli with meat sauce and got plain sauce. My husband ordered a veal entrée that was 75% breading not tasty at all. The lemonade was delicious but then again you can't build a meal on lemonade now can you. Your employees were running around like they were short staffed, which is not my concern a young man delivered food. It was auctioned off, didn't even know who got white what kind of services that I ask you? Also they were out of quite a few items on the menu. I realize you're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but you're still open on a Sunday be sure to have the main entrées that you post on your menu,appetizers and desserts. Our server came over at the beginning and told us right off the spot. You were out of one appetizer, three main entrées and the only dessert available was the chocolate cake. after spending over $350 for seven people plus gratuity I was very disappointed. I would definitely recommend making a reservation because it was super busy when we went on a weeknight. I ordered an espresso martini and it wasn't the best that I've had, it was very creamy and boozy. The table ordered the fried zucchini and stuffed banana peppers for starters. Both were good but the peppers were overloaded in sauce. I opted for a Caesar salad with my meal and it was great! The croutons were delicious and definitely homemade. I had the vodka cretino with freshly made pasta. It was SO good. The pasta was dense but pillowy soft. The sauce was great but I added a little salt. We also had the cheesecake for dessert that was amazing. The filling wasn't like normal cheesecakes, it was light and fluffy which I loved. Our server was friendly but hardly ever cleared the table so it was awkward to have to ask the food runners to take dishes away as they were dropping food. Olives & Peppers is a must-try in Greensburg. They're currently running a holiday menu that's priced a little on the higher end--but absolutely fair for the quality and the massive portion sizes. I was already full just from the zucchini appetizer and a bowl of wedding soup (sadly forgot to grab pics of those). The zucchini was awesome--served with a charred lemon and a really tasty marinara that brought everything together. For my entrée, I ordered the Chicken Marsala (normally paired with mashed potatoes) but subbed in the creamy risotto instead. The plate came out piping hot with three pieces of chicken, and the Marsala sauce was the perfect consistency with spot-on flavor. If I had one critique, it'd be that it could've used more mushrooms--next time I'll definitely ask for double mushrooms. The risotto was super creamy and also cooked perfectly, with great flavor... but heads up: it does have crushed red pepper, and a couple bites that had the peppers in them were pretty spicy for me. Still delicious. My brother ordered the steak with long-stem broccoli and mashed potatoes. The sides were great, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium, but it unfortunately came out ice cold and under-seasoned, so it tasted bland. Since I'm a chef, I mentioned it to our server purely as feedback--no complaints, no trying to get anything for free--just letting them know. Ben (the manager on duty) came out immediately, was genuinely apologetic, and offered to remake it without hesitation. My brother declined because he was fine eating it, but Ben still checked in and handled the situation exactly the way you'd hope a manager would. I can't remember our server's name (it started with an M), but she was excellent--always on top of refills, quick to clear plates, and she even brought to-go bags without us having to ask (which you hardly see anymore). The restaurant was really busy around 6 PM and parking was tough, but once inside, the place is beautiful--warm, lively, and upscale without feeling stuffy. The location next to the passenger train station is a cool touch too. Overall: great food, huge portions, beautiful atmosphere, and outstanding service/management. Was traveling in this area for the day and needed to find a place to grab a late lunch with our age diverse group. What pleasant surprise this delightful location was. An old train station with so much character and charm with high ceilings and arched windows. We quickly had a table prepared and it was bustling with activity. We decided to try the stuffed banana peppers which are a must. Spicy, but just right with great flavor. The chicken salad was mountainous and quite good. I had the chicken parm which was very tasty. I was tempted to try a dish with the speciality vodka sauce but others at the table did and said it was amazing. Not sure I will be in this area again but if I am, I will be sure to stop here. Service was extremely disappointing. We had reservations at 4 PM so the restaurant was not busy. We waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone even approached our table. Eventually I had to go to the hostess and let her know that we'd been sitting there the entire time without even being offered water. She did go inquire after our server, who then came over and took our order. So already our experience was tainted. Things seemed fine after that, but once we finished our meal we ordered dessert to go. The server brought boxes for our leftovers, took the dessert order, and then disappeared. Our party of five had to leave, and I was left sitting at the table with a toddler about 15 minutes after the meal ended waiting for the check. She eventually returned and apologized, saying she couldn't find the cake we ordered and had to go look for it. She then asked if we wanted bags for our to-go containers, after everything had already been packed up. Normally, the containers and bag are brought to the table together for leftovers. The last thing we wanted to do was wait another 10 minutes for bags for our leftovers. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled. read more

We started with the warm baked burrata appetizer--my first time having it--and it was delicious. Sweet, fresh, and perfectly balanced with basil and peppers. The waiter was fun, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. For our main course, we ordered a cheese pizza and added their famous meatballs on top--and that took it to another level. The restaurant itself is beautiful, located in a restored train station. It feels upscale but is still very affordable. As for the pizza: a great pizza is all about balance, and this one nailed it. The crust was light and flavorful, the sauce slightly sweet without overpowering, and the mozzarella mellow but full of taste. Adding the meatballs made it nearly perfect. One last thing--before my Coke was even empty, another one was already waiting for me. Excellent service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend! We went to Olive and peppers for a surprise birthday party. It's a lovely place with a back room for the occasion. We planned this 3 weeks in advance. When the gusts all arrived, they would not seat us. They said they were not ready! The guest to be surprised, was to be there in 4 minutes. They ended up giving us an area behind a wall. I was not thrilled. We ordered our food. It is quite expensive, but it was very good and very large portions. They did not allow for substitutions on menu items and was not very small kid friendly. We used to go to Olives & Peppers all the time when they had their location on Rt 8. We were in greensburg this weekend and absolutely had to make a stop! I love the location being in a train station, it gives it such charm and a fun atmosphere. We stopped for lunch and our server greeted us immediately. I had the rigatoni with tomato basil cream sauce as my red sauce choice and my husband had the vodka sauce cretino and added sausage. One thing about O&P is you will ALWAYS get your $$$ worth. The portions alone are worth it. My pasta was hot, the meatball was delicious. I did prefer the cretino better the vodka sauce held together better. We also enjoyed the wedding soup, although it could have used a little sprinkle of Romano or Parmesan. The bread was fresh and the butter complimented it nicely. Lady fingers barely had coffee flavor and it was mostly mascapone cream. Was arranged in a small oval dish and mostly flat. Did not meet the standard for Tiramisu. Birthday dinner for 9 adults and 3 children. Both myselt and my daughter called separately about bringing our own birthday dessert. We were both told that they would waive the $1 per person fee because we were bringing our own plates, forks, napkins, and it was cupcakes so there was no need for anyone to cut a cake. The waitress added it to the bill and I explained that for two separate phone calls there would be no charge. She got the manager and he said that was the policy. I explained about how we had called ahead and what we were told. He said ok for this time but next time we would have to pay. I said don't worry, there won't be a next time. Last week I went to Olives & Peppers in downtown Greensburg for the first time and we had some amazing bites! I've been to the one in Penn Trafford a few times but never this location. Their food is phenomenal and the portions are ginormous. They are located in the Greensburg train station, which is such a slay. We called a few days ahead to make reservations and I'm glad we did because they were busy!! We ordered the Bruschetta, Gnocchi with Vodka Sauce, White Pizza, 4 Cheese Ravioli with Marinara, and Chicken Alfredo. My gnocchi with vodka sauce was absolutely incredible!!!!! Oh my god I wish I could have eaten more of it; it was amazinggggg The bruschetta app was so delicious as well. I tried my friend's ravioli and it was fab. My boyfriend got the chicken alfredo and he loved it. I can't wait till the next time we venture to Greensburg so I can get some more of their delicious vodka sauce read more

My husband's steak was ice cold and mine was tough and well done when I ordered it medium rare. Later that night the two of us both became violently ill with food poisoning, lasting about 24 hours. COME HUNGRY! That is my number one piece of advice for a visit to this Italian restaurant. Their portions are legendary, the stuff of dreams for the hungry masses. We rolled up on a Saturday afternoon around 4:45 without a reservation and were seated in the bar area which was fine. Our waitress was super nice and very friendly, offering help with ordering and letting us know why our drinks were taking so long. Evidently, no one had ever ordered an Aperol Spritzer and the price wasn't in the system. I got a margarita that was absolutely perfect! I had to double check the cuisine - were we at an Italian place? Yes, we were, and the Margarita was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. Score one for the bartenders! We ordered some beans and greens that came with huge toasted bread and literally a basket of delicious brothy garlicky escarole and beans. I mean, just STOP it! It was ridiculously large and so very, very good. The wedding soup that came with my veal parmesan was served piping hot and extremely flavorful. I really enjoyed it. My parm came with three giant portions of veal and a side of angel hair that I requested as a sub for the regular pasta that literally could have fed two on its own. I ended up making three meals out of the dinner. My MIL had the shrimp Florentine pasta and absolutely loved it. We really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be back if we have to carb load for a marathon or after pouring concrete and felling trees for a weekend as a lumberjack. Everything about Olives and Peppers is amazing! First visit here came highly recommended by my Son and his girlfriend. Since then we come here for special occasions (I am quite picky and this is on my top 5 list) and when we realize it's been a while and are looking for consistently good food. I always order the Romano Chicken which comes with Risotto that I would love the recipe for. My husband usually goes with the Chicken parm which could feed a small army or one of their specials. Always come home with a bag of leftovers which are just as good the next day. Prices I feel are fair for the caliper of food they serve. Would highly recommend read more

They also have a mediocre wine list, so I called to ask about the corkage fee. I was told I could not bring in outside good or beverage. Ummm, really?! It's not like I was going to roll up with a keg and a pizza. I simply wanted to bring a nice bottle of champagne for my birthday since the restaurant only offered ONE sparkling wine and it was a cheap Prosecco.
