Pasqualino's has been a staple go-to since I was a kid, back when the restaurant was in the smaller location. Unfortunately, over the past few years there has been a steady decline in the food, and the service. Tonight, my family ordered take out. A family bolognase was one of the dishes & upon picking It up and taking It back home, we opened the container to find literally no sauce. The manager Dan offered the explanation of an "inexperienced chef" and "credit" toward the next meal. Additionally, the staff person who took the order, was simply unkind. To make matters worse, just recently I had a business meeting and had It catered by Pasqualino's. They failed to provide any dressing for a 20 person salad and made another large mistake with the order. They didn't offer to refund and also refused to deliver any of the necessary items to complete the meal. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because i know there's potential in this restaurant, because It used to be good. I hope they can figure It out. read more

Ordered the penne Diablo and it was excellent. Chicken and sausage rounded out a nice entree. The service was a bit slow- but in defense it was fairly busy. The wine ordered was not available and the wine list is a bit generic. All in all though it was a good meal and I'll go back. read more

According to my calculations, I have driven past this place each day, to and from work, a total of 2,600 x 2 up until today. After 5,200 times, there will be no more excuses as to why another stop will not occur. Reason being, this experience was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It's as if I discovered a secret club that isn't secret at all! They truly have a great following based on the intensity of their diners and activities all around us. The menu is extensive and features all of your Italian favorites. We enjoyed everything we ordered, and especially loved catching them during Happy Hour specials. Nice assortment and very filling. We look forward to our return visit, whether it be patio dining or the very inviting cigar bar. read more

Very understanding when our other couple went to wrong place. Came 20 min late, but we ordered drinks and they Loved their meal.

2 bartenders and you still wait for another drink. One was more concerned with chatting with friends Also, always check your order before you go as they seem to not get it right. Stopped here for some lunch and had am Italian hoagie and my wife had a steak hoagie . Both were baked perfectly The only thing I would recommend is to maybe add a little more meat to each item. Also had a side of French fries. Overall we were very pleased with the quality of the hoagies. Our service was awesome!!! Can't wait to stop back again for some pizza!! read more

I got the spinach baked shells they were delicious. My husband got the Lasagne he liked it also. Only complaint is that I made reservation and we got put next to window and there wasn a cold draft .I asked to be moved but it never happened.Had to put my coat on. Been here a few times and think it the best Italian restaurant in Murrysville . Really like that you can order smaller portions for a very resonable price, because as a senior citizen I don't always have a big appetite and when I do I order 2 smaller portion meals.Great if you are undecided. Food... out of this world! Atmosphere? Might need to pinch me! Am I in the old country? Gorgeous design and class all the way. Classy joint but won't shame you for a clean t shirt to come eat here. Service is great! Take out service leaves some room for improvement a few times now I've had a hard time finding someone who wants to talk to me let alone ask if I have a pickup order and then they are MIA for a while leaving you standing and waiting but probably just due to them being busy so don't let that scare you away. I highly recommend going for a drive and ending up here on purpose to eat and boy you better MANGIA MANGIA!!!! read more

I came here today bummed out that Ginny's was closed but still craving pizza. I got the prosciutto cotto funghi pizza- with prosciutto substituted instead of ham. OH MY GOD IT WAS LIKE A SYMPHONY IN MY MOUTH! The tomato sauce tasted so incredibly flavorful and fresh. I told my server and she said that's the way it's supposed to be. Lol. The crust was airy, light and also crispy. The mozzarella was amazing. And the basil, prosciutto, mushroom combo? Incredible. Definitely recommend. Service was top-notch, as our waitress Jenn was very attentive and worked hard to take care of our private group of 60 family members. We had a pre-selected dinner, and the Pasta Melanzana was our favorite. Did not get a chance to try their pizza, but would love to go back. Not great. We eat here often as a family, or just my husband and I. Friday we don't have a good experience. As a creature of habit I tend to always order the same thing. The spinach stuffed shell diner with no meatballs. My husband and daughter order differently each time. We did order a good bit, we had both alcoholic drinks, and nonalcoholic drinks, an appetizer, side salads, my husband ordered a small pizza and a hoagie, my daughter ordered pasta, I ordered my usual. Well we're severed our drinks and bread to start and there were a ton of fruit flys in the dining area. Enough of them, that they landed on the bread on our table. Gross, but we just didn't eat it. We got our apps and side salads. Soon after the runners brought my husband and daughter their food. Mine didn't follow, we didn't see our waitress around. 15 minutes of them eating went by before our waitress appeared and asked "You didn't get yours?", I politely said "no". She the. Went to another table to take their order before going back to the kitchen. 7 more minutes went by before she brought me a plate of only three shells. I don't bother to say anything, they clearly didn't care. I never was apologized to, and this wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a diner, and without meatballs you're supposed to get extra shells. Yet somehow I got three. Within a couple of minutes of the food coming, we were asked if we wanted dessert or the check. So I never got to eat. I got one bite and boxed up our leftovers, left our 27% tip and left. This experience ruined this place for us. The fruit flys were not ok, the service was clearly not good, and I never got to eat my food. We had an expensive order, we tip well, we come often, were dressed nicely ad we just left work. We used to visit the Penn Hills location (for more than 20 years we have been customers). There was no reason to treat us this way. It showed me they don't care. When you don't care, and it shows it's time to find a new place to patronize. read more

We stopped here on our way to the Elton John concert. One of the things that made us choose this restaurant was that they offered small portions of some entrees and since we'd have no way to keep our leftovers, we felt it was a good choice for that reason. We started with an appetizer of fried zucchini, which was 6 pieces served with marinara. It was good enough. Not the best or worst I've ever had. Our small portion pasta entrees came quickly and were pleasing to look at. Once we took some bites, we were somewhat disappointed. My friend's linguine with clam sauce was "too oily" as she put it, and my fettuccine alla Siderno was lacking flavor. I never salt my food in a restaurant but I couldn't help but reach for the salt shaker to add some flavor to the dish. We both wished they had used more garlic in the preparation of the dishes. The service was quick and the waitress although new, was a bit over eager to please. She asked how everything was tasting and before I could answer, she said "oh I'm glad you like it". It wasn't her fault, so I still gave her a decent tip. Restrooms were clean, decor was pleasant and I'm willing to give them another try. I had been here before and liked the food. Maybe the chef was having an off night? I'll give the benefit of a doubt. read more

Recently had dinner there for the first time. I am gluten sensitive, and my dinner companion selected this restaurant because they have gluten free pasta. I was excited when the server told me that the GF pasta could be made with any of their sauces; this is not always the case as some restaurants thicken the white sauces (Alfredo, carbonara) with gluten-ingredients. Perhaps I was overly excited, because I ordered carbonara at a busy restaurant on my first visit - rookie mistake! Carbonara can be tricky, requiring precise timing and attention. Sadly, Osteria Pasqualino failed - what I received was a bowl of GF penne floating atop a sea of watery yellow egg yolk, rather than the pasta coated with creamy egg and cheese that I was expecting. I quickly scooped the pasta away from the egg, and ate it, but did not enjoy it. In retrospect, I should have sent it back, but my friend and I had not seen each other in a few years, we were busy catching up, and she had chosen the restaurant so I didn't want to make a fuss. I will give this restaurant another try, even though it's a half hour drive for me and there are very good Italian restaurants that are much closer. The service was fine; we were seated just inside the front door on a very cold night, so there was an uncomfortable draft. The outside terrace looks lovely, so I will give this restaurant another try, perhaps in warmer weather when I can sit outside. The carbonara, however, will not get a second chance. read more

Just had penne vodka with chicken and it was bland and tasteless. Obviously their standards are very low. This was the second time I had food from there. The first time was a couple of years back and again people at work were ordering. I got the eggplant Parmesan. It was mushy and terrible. I don't know any Italians that cook that way. Another wonderful meal at Osteria Pasqualino! Four of us enjoyed absolutely delicious fried zucchini, arancini, fettuccine Alfredo, Frutti di Mare Spaghetti, penne Diavolo, and rigatoni with red sauce and meatballs. Dessert was just as scrumptious with mascarpone cream & fresh berries & cannoli. We had a wonderful server and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The only complaint would be directed to the young hostess with black hair, who seemed very upset, never smiled, and barely acknowledged us as we entered and claimed our 6:15pm dinner reservation. Perhaps she had a bad day, but greeting guests with a "Hello!" & "Welcome to Osteria Pasqualino" would go a long way. All other employees at this great establishment are so very kind! read more

Best Italian restaurant around!! From the staff, to the delicious food, and wonderful ambiance, this establishment is by far one of my favorites to dine at. I have never had a bad dish there. Nothing was overly greasy. Portions are perfect and prices are fair. I have tried many local Italian restaurants, and nothing has ever come close to this place. My favorite appetizer from there is the Arancini!! So crispy, steamy, and incredibly flavorful! As far as Entrées go, everything is AMAZING! The lasagna, pizza, chicken parm, and stuffed shells are the dishes I tend to order when I dine in. Their pizza is my favorite pizza around. It is not greasy at all and the cheese, sauce, and crust are all perfection! Needless to say, this restaurant will always have a special place in my heart. read more

Very disappointed with our first experience. First, our waiter never greeted us, just walked up and asked us if we wanted drinks. After taking our appetizer order, we received two of our three appetizers. The one missing was the only one that didn't need to be cooked... an antipasto. It finally arrived after the other two people ate theirs. The entrees were mixed. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The sauce was awful. It reminded me of the jarred Alfredo sauce you get at the grocery store.. almost a gravy and certainly not an authentic Alfredo sauce. The chicken was tough and overcooked. My partner had the Penne Alla Diavola, which he said had little flavor and no heat at all. The dessert was a bowl of sweetened whipped cream with two broken pieces of sugared puff pastry on top drizzled with chocolate sauce. I asked if they could make an Irish Coffee to which they said "Sure". 15 minutes later, I received a cup of coffee with Jamisons and milk... no whipped cream, no special cup, which even the waiter remarked at. Overall, a letdown. Poor service, very fair food... we won't be back. read more

I started with pasta fagipoli which was, delicious, but could have used more pasta . Hubby had Caesar salad which would have been very good had the dressing been premixed.in the salad. But, the dressing was on the side, and had to request an additional serving. The rolls and bread were good, with butter , no oil. My main dish was gnocchi with marinara sauce. I asked for dollops of ricotta cheese. Honestly, I asked my husband how his chicken parmigiana and spaghetti were, we came up with the same answer...... it was ok. The sauce was a little runny.
