I was wandering around Jeanette doing some photography when I saw this tall, nicely painted building. Upon learning it was a restaurant, I quickly checked the menu online and headed inside. The most important thing, is that it is really clean, both inside and out. Table tops and booth seats are clean with no sticky feeling. Even the restroom smelled good and was spotless. The ambiance is nice inside. Dim lighting and well shaded from the glare of the sun outside from the awnings. It is also a very spacious restaurant with several large rooms and a separate bar. The staff was AMAZING. Fast, friendly service and it is old-school service (even though some of the staff is quite young) meaning you don't have to ask for refills or extra napkins. It is all anticipated and done for you. Before I tell you about the good food there is something that I think is the most important of all. Especially in today's economy, their prices are FAIR. Some places gouge you on fresh side salads and drinks. I think an unsweetened iced-tea that is $3.00+ is ridiculous. That is what sets Persicehetti's apart... As corny as it sounds, I was so happy to see that non-alcoholic beverages were reasonably priced, as was the rest of the food on the menu. I cannot believe I had a side salad, fries, club sandwich and a drink for less than $20!!! This alone will make me come back. They aren't price gouging you like many other places. OK, so how was the food? I a word, delicious. The salad was lettuce, carrots, diced beets, onions, tomatoes and olives. A generous portion of well-made fries and the club sandwich was perfect. Crispy bacon, crisp, fresh lettuce and ripe red tomato. Plenty of turkey. All on toasted bread. I can recommend Persichetti's without hesitation. Good food, nice, clean atmosphere, excellent service, and fair pricing. If you are anywhere nearby, give them a try. They were a very welcome surprise for me.

The pizza was REALLY good and so were the breadsticks. The place was really packed inside and I still got my order on time. My family shared my enthusiasm as well for the food. Ordered take out tonight - February 26, 2026 - for what is our favorite pizza within 30 minutes of our house due to excellent ingredients, fantastic sauce, and no skimping on toppings or quality. Well tonight was quite disappointing - it started off great as we pulled right into a parking spot out front which has the same odds as winning the Powerball. Unfortunately, that was the only win and it went directly downhill from there. Pizzas were overdone on top, with very little sauce and cheese. My wife's pie had small extremely thin slices of onions and peppers and not a lot of those. My pie had four pcs (not filets, only one half filet and 3 pcs) of anchovy total on my pizza with small pcs of peppers. The sauce was entirely different from any pizza we have ever had at Sforno - it was bland and almost flavorless which is 180° from any pizza we have had before. It's a shame when a restaurant of any kind cheapens and or cuts back on quality ingredients for whatever reason - was the second story addition added to soon for the business to support? Did winning the Trib Live Best of the Best 2025 award listed on the door make them complacent? We will never know - but it's extremely disappointing to see this happen to a place that was fantastic up until now.

Fun space and location. We came on a Friday night and was a little surprised to find a fairly empty bar. Thankfully for them, their liquor license is in the final approval stages and will help increase business. Until then, they do have a nice variety of complimentary alcoholic beverages to choose from. Menu is not overwhelming, which is a good thing. My smashburger was very good. Our server was very friendly and shared a few interesting facts about the reference for 1888. 1888 is the year the city of Jeannette was founded. Nice touch. We plan to return during football season to catch a few games on the large TV screens.

There is something different and special about an Italian restaurant in Western PA. It's just better. More delicious and more hospitable. Carmine's is the perfect example. As mentioned in other reviews, Carmine's smells amazing. It will be crowded, so either arrive early or be prepared to wait. It's worth it. Everything our party ordered was terrific--zucchini planks, cheesy bread (from Enrico's), polenta, eggplant parm, and even an outstanding version of a Pittsburgh steak salad with that famous Carmine's dressing. So good! Great portion size for the price (50% cheaper than Connecticut). I also agree with reviewers who consider the marinara to be a tad too sweet, but that's up to your personal taste. It's still delicious. Carmine made a personal appearance at our table and was super hospitable. We could not have enjoyed the experience any more than we did. We will be back to Carmine's every time we are in Latrobe.

We were visiting my in-laws for a longer stay this time so we had the chance to explore more…read morerestaurants in the area. Our aunt mentioned Carmine's Pizza & Pasta so we decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed. We later realized it was the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade so many people seemed to stop by afterwards. We noticed a lot of tables enjoying pizza but since we had just had pizza the day before, we decided to try some other dishes. We started with the Fried Cheese "Formaggio Fritto". The menu mentioned that it was made with aged provolone which is why we ordered it but it tasted more like mozzarella to us. Because of that, it wasn't quite what we expected. I ordered the Lump Crab Fettuccine with marinara sauce. The marinara was sweeter than I personally prefer and I didn't notice much crab flavor in the dish. My husband tried one of the polenta dishes since we don't often see polenta offered at Italian restaurants. We originally thought the polenta itself would be baked but it seemed that only the top was baked. We prefer polenta that's crispy on the outside so it wasn't exactly what we had in mind. The sauce on top was also on the sweeter side, though it paired better with the polenta. One thing we have to mention is the portion sizes. They were incredibly generous! My husband ended up getting about four meals out of his polenta dish. We also ordered tiramisu to go which was sweeter than we prefer but enjoyable with a nice espresso flavor. I almost feel bad writing this review because the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Overall, I think the flavors just didn't quite match our personal taste but we appreciated the great service and generous portions.
