Saturday evening for dinner. Read the Yelp reviews, sounded like just our cup of tea plus Cajun food. Yes, please. Yep, don't let the outside fool you. I've had great food and fun in building like this. Was told to set where we wanted so we looked around at the pretty full dining room and sat at a 4 top reading the menus at the table. Few minutes later, waitress came up asked if we were with Don? Nope we aren't. Apparently, we chose Don's table and had to move. Maybe put a reserved sign on Don's table? FYI, if you see a table with menus, don't set there. Means it's someone's table. Menu is large and many options of Louisiana fare. Boudin balls, crab bomb appetizers. Seafood, gumbo, jambalaya, etc. Cocktails, beer, full bar. Oh, and Ollie can be found behind the bar. Decor is just kitschy enough to give you things to look at while waiting. Waitress told us we needed to check out the large space outside. It was one of those hotter than hell days in Oklahoma. I did take a peek. It's larger than the main area. Looked jungly to me and had it been about 40 degrees cooler might have chosen that area. Waitress was pleasant, talkative, helpful with food and drinks. We had crab bombs (crab, boudin wrapped in wonton, fried, served with Jalapeno slaw) Highly recommend. Not crab heavy which me not being a crab fan loved. I went with Jambalaya (chicken, shrimp and sausage) white rice and 3 thin triangles of garlic toast. Spousal unit went with the Ollie's special. 3 cups of gumbo, jambalaya and another he nor I can recommend. I have a coworker from central LA and have eaten her jambalaya and will vouch that Ollie's is very authentic. I like spice in mine & was provided a bit of Slap yo' Mama and I added Louisiana Hot Sauce. I just drank water as it was too hot for alcohol for me. Spousal unit went with beer. He went straight to the bar to check out what was on tap and what was in the coolers. When he went back to the bar Ollie told him that he was out of that, but right over Ollie's right shoulder was several cans of it (maybe they went with Don's table). It took longer to get our check and that we had to chase her down to get as it than ordering and eating. I might give it another chance if I'm ever in the area, but maybe not on a hotter than hell night. You'll probably have a better experience than I did. The food made up for it. read more

Don't let the outside deter you - the inside is funky & fun. The food was good, the sweet tea was good (important if you're from these parts), live music was good - the one thing that was not good, was the temperature. It was miserably hot in the back seating area; there are several big screened windows with the covers rolled up but when it's 90°+ outside, a couple ceiling fans aren't going to help. They need a couple mini split units which in combination with the fans, would help a great deal. The poor waitstaff all had red faces from the heat - it was quite ridiculous for whoever is in charge to think that's acceptable - in my opinion. Other than that, everything was great - I'll just remember to come back when it's much cooler outside! read more

Fabulousl vibe and service. The food was good but not great. But I don't regret our visit one bit because we had a great time dining as a family there. The music and a core and overall vibe of the place just made it a "feel good" dinner. We did love the Boudin stuffed jalapeños and the stuffed crab. I'd say it's a better meal if you get a bunch of advertisers and share because those were all outstanding! read more

Although today was an extremely busy day for the restaurant the drinks and food were well worth the wait! From the cabbage with sausage, red beans and rice, cornbread side to the famous Ollie's "Juke Joint Burger with American Cheese. Ollie himself took time to greet each table and offer engaging conversations - as the Chef "Ms. Yolanda" briefly came from behind the kitchen walls to make everyone feel special. It was our first trip. Once we arrived, wasn't sure from first appearance. Once inside we had great service, the food fresh made. The collard greens and red beans and rice was perfect. We shared the fish, we both enjoyed everything about it. We're not from there, but will visit and it will be a place we go back. read more

Food was good with good sized portions, drinks were excellent as well, had a wonderful Bloody Mary and Old Fashion!! The appetizer we got was plentiful, a cheese dip with ground beef and it didn't last long at the table!! The Trio I got for dinner was excellent and came with two fried stuffed crab shells, and someone tried the fried cabbage and sausage was good. We had live entertainment this evening and they were good as well!, singing a variety of different genres of music. The only reason I don't give it a five star rating is the facility was a little warm on this Friday evening, but there was a good sized crowd and this made it take our food a little longer than normal to receive. But the waitress apologized and made sure we had everything else we needed while we waited for our food. Will definitely go back!! read more

Food is excellent, service is a bit slow, but orders are prepared in the order in which the chef receives them; nothing is prepared ahead of time so your meal is always served fresh. Ambience? Ollie's doesn't have a lot of that, but the food makes up for that! read more

Don't let the outside appearance turn you away. Luckily for us, friends had been there before so we went here for dinner while at the lake. I had the shrimp po boy which was simplistic but delishly fresh and tasty.the fries were battered, hot and perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender in the inside. Husband had a burger which he said was delicious. Our friends had the shrimp basket. It wasn't their favorite thing that they had there as the shrimp were obviously frozen previously and were greasy. They loved the red beans and rice though and baked potato. Service was great. Look forward to our next time at the lake, Ollie's will be in our plans. read more

This is the second time I have visited this place and I'm not disappointed. This time I tried the Catfish platter and we also tried the Surf & Turf the food was great. I do miss the peaches & cream desert but the buttermilk pie is a good second. We will be back also Shelly was our waitress and she is great. read more

Well the local police are hard to miss having dinner so you know this is going to be good!! The directions are right and in a small town in back wood. Place is SO freaking cute or scary depending on your privilege. Go in I swear! People are so nice and welcome like a home. They have a bar if you drink. But I'm here for the food. Off the beaten path but I have a feeling worth it. Or at least I bet on it. Sweet tea is just right now a sugar high. Service is quick and lights are low. Saw the reviews and Gouda Mac n cheese with fried catfish. Damn I'm in. This place just makes me happy. Love these super finds. Don't be in a hurry! To me that's a good thing they make food to order. Catfish can be put up against anyone's. Just wonderful. Mac n cheese was great! Get there early they ran out while I heard a to go get tolls they were out and for good reason. I really liked the red beans and rice. Needed a spice kick up but damn well done. Firm beans and rice soft. Broth flavor was tight. Amazing food, amazing owner, amazing chef.... Just have some drinks and relax because food takes quite a while but worth the wait.

We have been to Ollie's several times and it seems to have deteriorated lately. When we walked in, there was no one to seat us and after standing, confused for 5 minutes with wait staff hurrying past us, we asked a woman standing near us at the bar counting a till and were told to seat ourselves. After being seated we waited 15 minutes for someone to take out drink order and it went downhill from there... I ordered the Jamaican Jerk chicken and shrimp. It was served on a small, tan melamine plate (like they serve a for a school lunch). One small flat chicken breast with absolutely no seasoning and a few tiny, overcooked shrimp, so salty they were almost inedible. I wish I'd taken a picture, it was not an attractive presentation or tasty dish. After waiting 20 minutes for drink refills, we told the waitress to forget the drinks and bring our check since we were through with dinner. Instead of bringing our check, she brought our missing drinks. So we paid an extra $20 for drinks we didn't want. I gave them 3 stars because we need to support local restaurants, but hopefully, someone at Ollie's that cares will read this and maybe fix things. read more

Sad to see somewhere treat their staff and customers so poorly. when the restaurant makes an error they wont take the food back and the only option we were given was to buy a whole new plate or the poor waitress offered to personally buy our food because she knew the mistake wasn't ours. I just want to understand why that was ever a situation. It was sad. Of course we didnt allow the waitress to buy our food but why do you do people like this? read more

Holy smokes! What a hidden gem!! You definitely have to be looking for this place to know it's here. Came here on a Saturday night with friends and family. There was live music, a fire in the fireplace, football on tv, and ice cold beer. It was perfect. I honestly wasn't expecting to have an extraordinary meal but I was in Cajun heaven!! Ordered the boudin stuffed, bacon wrapped jalapeños to start. Had to order a couple more since the table devoured them so quickly. Delicious! Had the crab Susie Mae... I don't know what is in that sauce but it was absolutely incredible. I would kill for the recipe!! By the end of the night after a great meal and some good beer and whiskey, there were couples dancing in front of the fire and I was singing impromptu karaoke. I was sad when we had to leave (closed the place down)... I think we decided this place will be a tradition every time we head to Texoma for the weekend. Can't wait to go back!! read more

My go-to favorites are the Crawfish Susie May, Blackened Catfish, and the Gumbo. Other awesome options are Butterfly Shrimp and Gator Bites! They have an awesome beer selection and outdoor patio. On most summer weekends you will find a live band playing in the back! And Susie has done an excellent job decorating the place. The ambiance in itself is worth coming for! read more

We had the catfish, gumbo, blackened catfish, Cajun green beans and Gouda Mac & cheese. All were delicious. The green beans and Mac & cheese are a must for side dishes! The atmosphere was fun.
