i was a new patent today. The treatment was spot on and I left already feeling better. Staff is great and friendly. All around awesome!

BAIT AND SWITCH. I did not see Dr. Olsen. A male provider was on duty when I went 11/21/25. This facility appears to have a lot of patients at one time, but only one chiropractor in the office. I arrived at 8:30 and by the time I left at 10am there must have been 10 people sitting in the waiting area. It feels a bit of like an assembly line. There was more time spent with various staff versus the chiropractor. There are 7 treatment rooms or more. I made my appointment by phone, as I was looking to get in as soon as I could, having exacerbated my back a couple of days prior, and was looking for a chiropractor that used the activator method. When I called, the person told me that my first visit would be $27 if X-rays were needed, but the rest of the visit would be free. During my visit they had me sign a 2-page document that had a bunch of charges and I said I was told it would be $27 if I needed an X-ray so I didn't understand why I was signing for all these charges. I was told these were prices for other chiropractors. Oh ok I signed it. The chiropractor came in and recommended I do EMFR and laser treatment if there was time. He wasn't sure there would time for an adjustment. No pricing was discussed. Like I said, assembly line and chiropractor left. I was taken to a different room, and they did the EMFR thing. Then I had to wait awhile for someone else to be done with the laser machine. Mind you, they are pretty efficient but there was a lot of this and that to keep the assembly line moving and I did wait quite awhile in between these 2 things. Then they told me they would give me an ice pack which they never did. They asked if I felt better and I was like, um I haven't been adjusted and that was my main reason for coming in. So they took me back to a different room. I waited a bit and the chiropractor came in to adjust me - 5 minutes or less. At the front they said $189. I said, say what? I explained my call and they said yeah the $27 is for the consultation and X-ray, but the PEMF, laser, and adjustment were all extra on top of that. I was mad at the lack of transparency and I let her know. She said since I have Kaiser and was paying OOP, the chiropractor could set up a treatment plan that would include 20% discount. I said but no 20% discount for today? No. I paid it and left and do not want to ever go back. This is a classic bait and switch. Perhaps the office is full of people who have insurance coverage. If they would have told me the costs in advance, I might have asked for less treatment or just the adjustment. Or totally been fine with it. In the end, I don't think it's an unreasonable charge for a first time appointment. However, I was not able to make an informed decision due to their misrepresentation. That left a bad taste in my mouth and I won't be back. Beware if you're paying out of pocket. read more

I feel that after 4 months of visiting Dr. Olsen, I can comfortably write a review, however this review can change as I am still visiting this office. I was very hesitant to review this office too quickly only based only on their staff and the overall experience that I have coming in to their office, without being able to also review the expertise, knowledge, care, assessments and improvements that I have made. This is a long one! Ambiance: The staff, as mentioned by other folks here is true. All of them women that work here including Dr. Olsen are extremely nice, I don't know what's in their coffee, but they never fail to have a smile and welcome you in with so much warmth. The affordability: Let's just keep it real. Everything is getting expensive in health care, and everyone is just trying to keep up with rising costs, including businesses like this. However, I have to say, the cost of my care is not too extreme compared to MANY chiropractors in the nearby area. No knocks to Olsen chiropractic, but This office wasn't my first option as I had already visited a chiropractor in Walnut Creek that I truly loved so much but again, tooo $$$$! And they weren't flexible in availability. Dr. Olsens practice offers that flexibility and the pricing is very reasonable. Knowledge and Experience: Dr Olsen is very experienced, she's a bit heavy handed so if you can't handle the pressure, I'd say let her know? But she knows what she's doing. She has had other chiropractors step in in her absence, but my only issue with this is that I wish I would've been told that prior to a session. I'm the type that gets really uncomfortable with having new doctors that have different styles work on my back, I guess it's a trust thing. But I'd say this is something that could be considered? New technology: Dr Olsens office has modernized equipment that I have never been exposed to and I absolutely love it. Laser Therapy is awesome as well as Acoustic wave therapy. Nutrition: I really appreciate doctors who take a holistic approach in care and when I was given a nutritional survey and had a consultation about my diet and exercise, I was very impressed. They had me hooked here. To Conclude: After three months, I felt about 60%-70% better. you may be thinking that's not much, but honestly, when you have major trauma to your back, and you are able to walk and bend at waist again, this is huge. I'm signed up for another 6 months for weekly adjustments, and I'm also doing more on my end to help with this process, by eating cleaner, stretching more often, and working on my exercise routines to strengthen my core. When I first visited Olson Chiropractic, 08/08 I could barely move my arm and couldn't even turn my neck . Was told by the ER that I popped my trapezius which is located in my neck. I also couldn't sleep, and I was so out of alignment that I could not do any cleaning around the house without tremendous pain. After 2 days of treatment, I had no pain and was back to cleaning the house, not needing and help with showering and sleeping 10X better. Dr. Heidi suggested that I continue to ice and I will be better in a few days. However she already made me feel better. I have been going to Doctor Olson Chiropractic care after a Knee injury in 2018. Just recently had 2 Dislocated Ribs and Not only did she Care for My Physical Health but Also My Emotional Health. I wasn't doing too good obviously physically if you ever had a Dislocated rib you'll know LOL, but also My Emotional Health wasn't at its Greatest. I have a mortgage and a 2 year old to take care of... what do you mean you haven't had time? Some people don't take other peoples life problems as serious as they need to and that rubs customers completely the wrong way. What can I say about Dr. Olson?! I have been a patient of Dr. Olson for 12 years - yes 12 years! I have had back issues since a rear end accident in my very early 20's and the back issues have carried on for many years and because of the issue, I have gone to several chiropractors. Due to an insurance change, I had to seek new chiropractic care shortly after giving birth my youngest child - who by the way is now 13 years old and is also a patient of Dr. Olson. I was originally put on a chiropractic schedule until I was more stable and after a few months of care, I reached my maintenance stage. Dr. Olson's care and mindfulness to your needs together with her advocacy of homeopathic therapies has helped me throughout the years. I highly recommend Dr. Olson and have had referred her to several family members and friends who have since had to leave her practice due to insurance changes. If not, they indicate that they would have been happy to continue on as patients as they can tell there is a significant difference in their chiropractor care. Dr. Olson by far has been the best chiropractor I have seen for my back issues and I would highly recommend her to anyone. Her staff is friendly, the office is conveniently located, and getting an appointment for an adjustment is quite easy. If I could give negitive stars if i would. Went in because I was in pain (hurt myself in jujitsu) and they have a $29 first time special. The staff was nice enough, but they just insisted on taking a x-ray, gave me a bunch of insurance stuff, (which I didn't have at the time). Dr Olson came in, did a couple of test, told me to stop what ever i was doing cause it's going to kill me, it's going to take months to fix and told me to come back to go over the x-ray. I left $29 lighter 5 mins later and was told my next visit will be in the ballpark of $50-150. At that point, they were really pushy and concern that I would make my next appointments. I didn't go back, went to another chiropractor the next day who fix me in 5 mins and have been pain free for months with full range of motion. read more

So, let me start with first day, my back is broken! Sciatica, degenerative discs, the whole ten by their standards after x Ray's at first visit. No correction, I appreciate that. Corrections at follow up visits, dr. Oson never got to crack or pop, she had an intern, like a spider monkey cracked me, wanted to hug that intern. Best correction. Dr olson staff, pretty much car dealer me on a program, something like 5 visits a week, for 3 weeks, then, 3 days a week for 8 weeks, then 2 days a week for 9 weeks and I'm healed. She offered weekly breakdowns, biweekly breakdowns, and slid the piece of paper down option by option selling the benefits of each.. felt 1988 car dealership, old school mafioso and such. Broken back, what do you do? Her range rover outside shows, she doing alright. So my health plan is great.. I get 24 visits a year to chiropractor. Came out of pocket for I itial at 75$ and then visited a total of 8 times following their policy.. or yet they charged me that 217 a month twice with 8 corrections.... CRIMINAL!
