Really personal service on very fresh meats wrapped for you. Prices are fine. You can also get smoked meats and custom sausages, both smoked and uncooked. We like the thick cut bacon. Nice pre-marinated meats also (asian or mexican sauces) too. Prices are no higher than the supermarket. 1 reviewer says everything's frozen but I see fresh meat there all the time, maybe it changed or else it's thawed, I don't know but it seems fresher than the supermarket shrink wrapped meat. I also go there for the raw dog food (ground organ meats) and dog bones, not always available but when it is it's fantastic for dogs. Occasionally you can see a cow or a deer hung up outside, so it's educational if you want to realize where meat comes from (they do butcher deer for hunters, and you can buy some elk venison in the shop). One of these days I want to split with a relative and buy a 1/4 or 1/2 a cow or pig for the freezer, lots of package prices and specials for large pre wrapped and cut orders like that. read more

First time, picked up some smoked pork chops for dinner. Use part of the smoke fat to sauté some green beans. Seared the chops and added them to smokey beans in the oven. Baked till the chops hit 160. The dinner cost me maybe 7 dollars per plate and was 5 star! I'm thinking chops for Easter instead of ham. Also got the pepperoni with cheese and Jalapeño, my new most favorite pepperoni sticks. Can't wait to try everything else. Local and awesome! Prices are great too! Some meat maybe frozen when you arrive, but it is a local butcher.....still fresher than anything you will get from the other BIG stores. Support your local butcher :). Awesome! read more

This business does everything! We have purchased beef from a neighbor for many years. We know exactly what we are getting- grass fed beef without steroids, additives or chemicals. The other key piece to making this work for our family is a local butcher. Once the meat has been properly hung and processed- we work with the butcher at Olson's to decide which cuts go to hamburger, steaks, sausage, roasts, etc. We are able to choose how big each portion is and they professionally wrap the meat in packages that last well in the freezer for months. It is always done fast, friendly and right. In addition, they always have freezer packs you can buy. Their meat counter has a great selection of sausages, steaks, and smoked meats. If you don't see something you are looking for, just ask. They smoke meats on site, and cut and wrap local meat for sale as well. It's worth a turn in from Hwy 164. The jerky is top notch. read more

Great meats, the taste is much richer and flavorful than any store meat you can buy, their pepperoni, smoked sausages and jerky is great also. They also have a smoked cheese that is locally made and is by far the best smoked cheese I have ever tasted, bit $ but well worth it for the quality of cheese. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. It's out of the way in Enumclaw but the drive is nice and you can always drive a little further and stop by the kettle restaurant and have breakfast or lunch they have great breakfasts and phenomenal freshly made muffins. read more

I went there and purchased tenderlion organic. They were already wrapped. Got home and half of each piece was all thick fat. Each piece was only 3 ounces of meat available to put on the BBq. Really disappointed. I so frustrated with these local butchers selling prepackaged expensive meat that is a rip off. Ok I should of checked the package before I bought it. And I called them and to their defense they told me they would replace them. So I'm changing my stars to 3 instead of 1. read more

My son had stopped there in the past and purchased some products I thought were quite good. I stopped in on my way back from Enumclaw to make some purchases and saw some wonderful looking lean smoked pork chops in the display case. I ordered two of them and the couner person stepped into the back room and brought out two that he wrapped while I was looking at other product. When I unwrapped them the next day for a special meal I found two very fat smoked chops. the old bait and switch game I will never be back. read more

The Olson family and their staff is not only an amazing group of people but their meats and selections of salads are the best you will find. Recently the family catered for an extremely large community event and Alex, Darci and staff couldn't have done better. My bill for 30lbs of duck pepperoni was $121 or $4.03 per pound, however I only received 20 pounds of actual product or $6.05 per pound. When I called to complain I was told the meat loses about 1/3 of its green weight through "blood loss" and the smoking process. That would have been fine had that been explained. So be careful when asking about their prices, the true price is $6/lb when comparing to other shops. The employees themselves seem like good people but this was a lost opportunity by the manager to keep me as a customer. A simple "I am so sorry for the misunderstanding and I really appreciate the feedback, please swing in again and ask for me (manager name) and I will send you of with something fresh from the smoker." Then they could have made a change to their drop off forms that explain the 1/3 weight loss and never had to deal with this issue again. Oh well. read more

Love this place!!! We live in Seattle, but come to Enumclaw to visit family and on the way out of town always stop here to stock up on our favorites! My favorite is the marinated chicken, my husband can't pick a favorite, he enjoys it all, the steak, pork and the seafood! The employees are all so friendly and helpful! I brought my elk to olsons that i spent countless hours quartering out got it to the butcher the quarters and scrap meat weighed in at 195# pretty good i was happy........They called me one week later saying the meat was ready to pick up i get there and recieve 90# of meat no tenderloins too speak of supposedly they ground those intoo burger????? And again only 90 lbs of meat where did the other hundred and 5 lbs go i understand there is loss in fat and bone but not 105lbs in an already quartered animal i do not recommend olsons meats to anyone read more

RUN!! Butcher elsewhere!!! This place is a dishonest company. They may sell decent cuts of meats on display in their cases BUT their butchering practices are down right thievery! My parents brought a cow they purchases here to be butchered, they had mostly ground beef cuts. They had so much Ground BONE in their meat it was almost un-eatable. My mom sat and had to pick out bone everytime she cooked a pound of hamburger. Even then, there were so many fine bits that you had to spit out chunks of bone the whole time you ate. Not to mention, the fear of breaking your teeth! There are TWO reasons a butcher does this #1. Laziness (not likely) #2. To STEAL from you and skim your meat. They add bone into the hamburger grinder to weigh it down and add weight back into your numbers. Even with this, their yield rate (the amount of meat they ended with) was terrible. Terrible! They should be ashamed!! Oh, I also seriously question whether they are selling corn fed beef as grass-fed!!! Ask where they get it from-- research the company they claim and you'll see that company only processes corn-fed beef! They LIE too!! read more

This place has really tasty local grass fed beef. The pork is really good too. I did buy some meat sticks that went bad with mold on them really quickly after I bought them. I will stick to the meats in the cooler and freezer. Steaks are great. read more

We've used Olson's farm slaughter services for years (8 or 9) and been very happy - they show up on time and treat the animals in a humane manner. We raise natural pigs and beef now, but have had lambs and a goat done by Olson's. The cut and wrap is excellent, all the buyers of our animals are happy with the service there. In fact 2 of our customers are food professionals ( a food scientist that has worked for national companies and a culinary arts instructor/butcher), both rave over the way the meat was cut & wrapped also that their facility is so clean. We love their sausages and smoke house products, the bacon is fantastic as are the hams. The folks at Olson's are really flexible about cutting and wrapping exactly how you want your meat ( thickness of the steaks, how many in a package, doing several varieties of sausages) and are willing to educate on how to get the best from your animals. We've had animals done by other butchers before we found Olson's, but none match the quality and service. read more

For years I use to drive by on our way up to camp each summer. I lept looking at Olson's everytime I passed and told myself that I would stop in soon and see what they were all about. I have friends who have gone thier themselves and had nothing but praise to say so one Saturday me and my friend jumped in the truck and took a ride to Olson's. As soon as we walked in it was love at first sight. The people behind this huge display case were the most knowledgeable and friendly people you could meet. We bought a pork package and some steaks. I need not say more. Out of this world meat and aged just right! The nice thing about Olson's is you can have your meat anyway you want it and aged to your liking and perfection! Butcher shops are always a great place to get the best meats at a little higher price, but it is well worth the extra cost. I finally ran out of the meat I purchased and I am headed that way this weekend to order more. Stop in and check it out you won't be disappointed! read more

Olson's is an old fashion meat market. I gave them 4 stars, because they are not perfect, but their meat has been good. We have bought 2 of their meat pack's (both 50 pounds). I would say their pork is the best of the chicken/beef/pork we have tried. Pork Chops, ham and bacon, while giving you a heart attack, you will die happy! We had 2 really bad fillets given to us in our most recent meat pack, we took them back, they gave us 4 fresh cut instead. Our meat pack was frozen, not happy with that. the Rib eyes are delish. give em a try I say! read more

I am a 3rd generation customer at olson's meats. They have butchered for us and I have bought meat there also. This place is incredible if you know your meats they offer a variety of different beef breeds some are known for leaner meats. The meat is the freshest you will find. I have never had any purchases or services where I have been disappointed. This business is awesome they will custom your meat however you want it that is if you "give them time" to make it happen for you. If you "stop in" to see about it and the selection in the coolers are slim it just means the other customers have beaten you to it. Olsons try their very best to accomadate every customer. I have purchased the Buffalo several times. I have enjoyed various cuts, from steaks, to stew meat, to roasts to ground buffalo. Every bit of it is delicious. Their prices are competitive with Costco and Fred Meyer, but I get many more choices of cuts. The other two carry mostly ground meat. Thank you Olson's Meats for having great variety of meats.
