It gets quite busy on a nice day. There are also ferries going by in the distance. If you go past the marina, there's an ice cream shop near by as well as several restaurants, and of course a little further is downtown Edmonds. There is a play area for the small kids along the path to the beach with picnic tables in the grassy area. If you have a stroller, there's a paved pathway to give easy access to the bench. There's a sandy area that can be used for volleyball - just bring a net and set it up! The dog park also provides a space for those with pets. There were sea lions when I visited, so that was pretty exciting! Small parking lot, but lots of street parking on Admiral Way.

The park has a modest children's play area, a sandy beach portion, beach areas that have rocks/sand mixture (i.e. not ideal for barefoot), logs, grass areas, and a few picnic tables. The views are wonderful towards the Puget Sound and the Olympics. The children's play area has seen better days. The photo on the official website is more inviting and wider than the current set-up. A sign says it is for ages 2-5 and 5-12. Less than 10 seems more appropriate. On a sunny day, families have set up tents and are ready for a barbecue. Others simply have chairs to enjoy the Puget Sound breeze and the sun. The small parking lot is shared with the dog park, so parking can be challenging. Alternate, farther parking is available. So, why 4 stars instead of 3? Because this park is the south end of a very pleasant waterfront walk. The trick is finding the connections. From this beach park, look for the sign that says Port of Edmonds Promenade. It is a nifty walk that takes me through the shipyard, seeing the boats being lifted out of the water for cleaning or whatever, to the back of Anthony's, Arnie's, the fishing pier, before arriving at the Brackett's Landing. This walk is one of my favorite waterfront walks with varied views. The total time one way is about 20 minutes without stopping. FYI: The boundaries of the Marina Beach Park does not include the fishing pier or the dog park or Brackett's Landing. Therefore, some of the photos posted for this park is not accurate.

The hike has some decent incline on the way back to your car, so bring your water! The trail itself is pretty shaded so it can be chilly. Dog friendly! Limited parking so be ready for a little wait. It is generally not ideal for swimming since the water in Puget Sound remains consistently ice-cold year-round. There's also shore crabs, hermit crabs, sea anemones, barnacles, sea cucumbers, and sea slugs. It's a 40-acre park on Puget Sound. There are no lifeguards on site. There's a footbridge crossing railroad tracks to reach the beach. The park is dog-friendly and offers both upper bluff and lower beach areas, some rocky with large cobble on the north side. There is parking available ( the one closest to beach fills up fast) with 2 other free upper parking lots. Restrooms are available.

I went during one of the lowest tides of the year, and I saw a lot of sea life. I saw sea cucumbers, sea stars, fish, countless sea anemones, etc. On the walk back, I even saw a ginormous moon snail. There were incredible views of the water and sand. It's super refreshing to relax here. Do note that you have to climb a fenced overpass across some railroad tracks, so if you're nervous about heights, don't look down! The washrooms here weren't well stocked with soap when I visited, but it might be because of the sheer volume of visitors. Multiple car parks were full. It's great to see that everyone is so interested in nature!

We rented our gear from the dive shop right in front with two tanks and got into the water at 5pm. We were lucky that day as the waves were calm and visibilitiy was 40-50 ft. The good thing was the walk at the sand was short but the surface swim to the first buoy before we sank down was a 10 min swim and easy to cramp up in cold waters. We saw enormous groupers, sunken ships, crabs, large sea slugs and my boyfriend even claimed he saw a seal pop his head up to the surface when we were swimming back to shore. The best recommendation for this dive is to call the dive shop in advance to check if other divers said the visibility that day was good - makes a world's difference!

As…read morea bystander of sorts, the Port of Edmonds Marina offers a wonderful little promenade walk that goes through the marina and shipyard providing both water view and peeks at the workings of this charming marina. The mission of the Port of Edmonds includes waterfront public access, which I greatly appreciate. It also has a mission of environmental stewardship. I appreciate the port because of these public goals that affect those who do use the port in the fullest sense. While taking walks between Brackett's Landing and Marina Beach Park, hug along the water to find the walking path behind Arnie's, Anthony's that cut through the port. The fishing pier is charming. I always stop to see the boats being lifted out of the water. They have two methods. One uses two bands that looks like it can carry a whale. One is a lift. A fork lift with two very long prongs gingerly drive the boat to its dry dock spot. It is fun to watch every time. From the Marina Beach Park side, find the sign that reads Port of Edmonds Promenade for the entrance.

The beach sedimentation has built us so much along the entire shoreline and they don't want anyone swimming here at a Waterfront park. What kind of waterfront park says NO to everything. The benches on the property are all facing weeds so can't see beyond to see all of the water. The park is small, but serene. Most of the space follows Lyon Creek under overhanging foliage, with a bench and boardwalk to enjoy. Where the creek meets the lake, there is a small dock and bench to frequent. Have not seen any salmon running up the creek as of yet, but that would make my day. Overall, it is small but extraordinarily peaceful and well restored. Good vibes only.

One day a duck flew over the lake, then in front of us, twisting in midair so its feet faced us then flew back to the lake and landed as if to say, hey I'm not afraid of you two. Schatzi just looked at me and was mildly amused by the duck, she looked more interested in going swimming. The lake has been closed to swimming and wading for a while due to pollution issues, so keep that in mind when visiting. Trails from Shoreview Park, from Boeing Creek Park, and Innis Arden Way are the easiest way to access Hidden Lake. If you are a bird air access might be easiest and if you are a salmon water access from Boeing Creek may be the easiest. During the Spring and Summer it is especially fun to come here and look for ducks and their babies. My mom and I have been standing on the shore and had a bunch of ducklings and adult ducks invade the beach as we were standing there. Duck and duckling diving sessions are captivating to watch. Odd creatures also abound here... I once saw what might have been a baby Sasquatch. I have found traffic to the lake to be heavier in the early evenings and during the summer months when middle schoolers and high schoolers frequent the lake and surrounding parks. When I run at Shoreview Park I enjoy tacking on a cool down to Hidden Lake to look for critters in the mornings and evenings.

I have come here a few times to just check it out, or if walking around sunset time and wanting to watch the sun set beyond the Olympic Mountains across the Puget Sound. There are a handful of parking spots and a small restroom building, neither of which I have used yet in my coming here. Oddly, this neighborhood park has been around for a number of years, but was one neither me nor my parents were too aware of despite living in the area for over 20 years. Nice to have a place like this to come to and clear one's head, watch the sunset or a train going past, just play around, or sit down and do some work or read at one of the tables.

It's tucked away in Richmond Beach on the waterfront, and even though I am in Richmond Beach a fair amount, including a bar not too far from here, I had no idea this existed. You can not access the water as train tracks and a fence keep you inside the park. It's a small place with little parking, but an actual bathroom on site, a playground, black berry picking and gorgeous views. It seems to be a nightly walking place for many residents in the neighborhood and a hang out spot for local teenagers. In the actual lot there are only 5 spots (1 handicap), but it appears people are able to park up on the hill above the park and walk in. The play ground looks like a nice reason to visit, but it currently has some yellow tape on it for covid. Dining seems to continue to bring in visitors as there are a few picnic tables and we witnessed multiple people stop by with take out. It's very nice to be able to watch the ferries go by, including some big ships and if you are lucky a train or two. I think this would be an enjoyable place for anyone who likes to gaze out over the water. I plan to go back some day when cruise ships return and see if I can catch one going by, in the mean time though its a great place to watch a sunset.
