Looks a little naked as my side was the salad bar but very tasty!
    Steven B.

So once upon a time, the pandemic hit, and the much-loved salad bar here bit the dust! There was tremendous hue and cry from the customers, including me, but it was to no avail. The servers also yelled and screamed because they had to make the salads but nope, management held firm. Finally, management reconsidered this fall and it's back! Hallelujah! This will be a short specialty review with a focus on the salad bar. So, I blew in for lunch intending to have the salad bar as my side. As soon as you walk in the door you are staring at it. Check out three of my photos. One is of the full bar and then there are close ups of each half. Note how meticulously maintained it is. Everything is scrupulously fresh! It's not particularly large but has enough variety to satisfy most everyone. By the way, your server will bring out cold salad plates as needed. So, what's the cost? It depends. On this day I ordered an Open Face Hot Roast Beef Sandwich @ $11.50. It came with one side. To substitute the salad bar was an upcharge of $3.50. That's a hell of a deal! With other more expensive entrees it may be included. The salad bar was just as I expected. Crisp and fresh and absolutely delicious! I've been a customer of the Olympic for over thirty years, and salad bar gets a five-star smile from me!

    This is the outside, duh.

We aren't sure if the Okympics started in Avon, Florida, but if they had, they'd have been eating good. Stopped here by chance, lunch specials on point (that's an Olympic term, look it up, or don't, Im not paying for your data). Simple math, rookies, get here before another 4 years go by.

We were traveling and found Olympic through Maps. The building is older but the food is Fresh! We had the ribeye, chef salad, Reuben and cod with lemon butter sauce. All were delicious and everyone wants to come here again. Service was a little slow but it was busy and our server took very good care of us. I can recommend without hesitation.

It might sound strange to some folks but add their awesome Broccoli Salad as a side and I predict you will have dreams about it and be back for more. Arriving- It's almost within sight of US route 27 South. Parking is the elephant in the room but stick with it as it's worth it! Ambience- There is a little bit of seating, but this is primarily a take-out place. The bagels are imported from NY, so the NY vibe is darn cute and appropriate. Others have posted plenty of pics. Customer Service- This is a family-operated place and there is a 90% chance you will be dealing with the husband & wife owners. They're awesome and I've never had a problem. Lunch Menu- There is plenty of breakfast food, but this review focuses on their lunch bagel sandwiches, so there are about a dozen sandwiches available and they average about $7.50. I chose the Brooklyn @ $7.50. It's a pumpernickel bagel with pastrami, Swiss cheese, dill pickles and mustard. My side was the Broccoli Salad, 8oz. $3. It's chopped broccoli, crumbled bacon, red onion, and shredded cheese, in a slightly sweet dressing. I brought my lunch home, and you can see my pictures. Taste- Chewy bagel, tons of meat & cheese, snappy pickle, and savory mustard. What's not to like. A seriously scrumptious sandwich. The Broccoli Salad is my new obsession. It's homemade and I could take a bath in it. The flavors just explode in my mouth! It's the perfect side dish! Conclusion- They've been open about a year now and have built a solid reputation with an average of about 4.5 stars on the 2 big review sites. I would agree! You know who the other one is! If you are in the area, you won't regret making a stop here!

It's a quirky little place that has a one-alley drive-through and a walk-up window and no dine-in. Why did I say alley? Because it looks like a one-alley oil lube place. So much so that to this day, folks drive through and ask how much is an oil change even though all they have is great food and a few sundries! I think it's partly related to their name! So how did they reinvent themselves? Up until about two years ago they were famous for selling case beer. You would pop your trunk and a guy would drop the case right in. You never had to get out of your car. For some reason they quit selling beer to focus on other things. Up until about a year ago they had great food but no fries and this was a major complaint they had to deal with. They fixed this and now they have huge portions of wonderful, glorious skin-on fries! So now you come here for fantastic breakfast sandwiches, great burgers, pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Of course, drinks. On my last visit I ordered a cheeseburger and fries @ $8.87. I'm embarrassed by the picture as there was a huge, juicy, hand-formed burger under there! There were even more fries, but I scoffed some down on the way home! So, you can blow through here for breakfast or lunch and have a great sandwich and patronize a local business at the same time! It doesn't get much better than that!
