I have been stalling on getting window treatments in my bedroom for a year. i never found something I loved, the window/slider is huge and I didn't want to lose the nice view and light but wanted privacy. I randomly found Om Drapery on a google search and I am so happy I did! Oana is awesome- she is responsive, has a vision and ideas and listens. She had photos of previous jobs to give me an idea of how the finished product will look, she had samples with her- and immediately pulled out the perfect fabrics that I loved. I quickly was able to decide on what I wanted and she worked with my budget. The drapes were just iinstalled and they are better than i expected even, details I didn't think about she did- like the brackets that connect the rod to the wall. We had just completed a full remodel for both our main house and back house and need window treatments for the entire project. So happy with all the selections and how the install went! After our initial consultation, measurements and selections were made. I contracted with OM drapes to have curtains installed in my master bedroom as the shutters were letting too much light in at night. We had a tricky situation because we still wanted to keep the plantation shutters but there was limited space to add curtain hardware. In the end we went with a ceiling mounted track with center split blackout curtains. On the positive side - Oana was very responsive and willing to work with me to price match a similar quote from The Shade Store. She was friendly, knowledgeable and gave personalized recommendations based on the aesthetic I was going for and my budget. The final curtains look beautiful and block out light as requested. Unfortunately, on the day of the installation, the installer didn't refer to the notes left by Oana and ended up drilling an extra hole in the ceiling. It was later patched and painted over by the OM team but the paint was from a few years ago so it didn't match anymore. I am left with an eyesore on the ceiling until I find another solution. It was an honest mistake but one that could have been avoided entirely and now I have to spend more money to fix it myself. The second negative I have is that Oana assured me after the curtains were installed it might take a while for them to open and close smoothly. It has now been a few months and the curtains still get stuck in the middle split section. I often push the curtains by hand instead of using the rod. It is a minor but annoying inconvenience. I really wanted to support a small, local business over a chain store. Unfortunately, based on the hiccups with this project, I can't see myself working with OM drapes for any future projects. read more

I live in a townhome complex that features garden/solarium style windows. Many years ago I had fabric curtains attached to hangers that ride up and down on tracks installed on the window framing. A drawstring and pulley system operates the curtain. One of the curtains was showing the wear and tear of age and was overdue for replacement. I contacted two window treatment companies via email explaining what needed to be done and sent video. Neither of the companies even acknowledged my inquires. When I called Oana and described the situation she understood exactly what I was explaining and what I needed. We arranged a consultation and Oana spent a lot of time with me measuring, reviewing fabric samples and discussing what needed to be done since it was not a simple matter of installing a drapery rod and hanging drapes or installing Venetian blinds. The cost estimate was not insignificant but I knew going in that the project did not involve a simple or ordinary window treatment. There were a few bumps in the road along the way involving the manufacturing process but these were resolved without any additional burden on me other than a few days delay in installation. And btw the installation team worked really hard and spent a lot of time to make sure everything was done right I'm very happy with the finished product and the type and color of fabric that Oana helped me select. read more

I paid $175 for their 1st visit. The guy came and did not even take it down to look if anything wrong. They just said they will see if they can order the parts. Then few days later said 1 of the 3 cannot be fixed because they discontinued the model. So basically their job is just replace every motor without trying to fix them. 1 of the 3 works just fine just missing the extention string. I connected it myself and it works. The one they said they cannot fix, I have the handyman took down and opened it and just connect the string. They just wanted me to buy their $1.5k blind and also charge another $100 for the second trip to put in the string replacement part they ordered for few $. So technically I was robbed of $175. read more

This past month Oana, owner of OM Drapes Design, provided our family with a 17-foot motorized sun shade for our newly constructed patio.  She was a pleasure to work with and the installers did a great job. When the manufacturer sent the wrong motor, Oana and her team were on it to get the replacement motor sent 2nd day air and then finished the installation on a Saturday just in time for our unveiling party. Oana is so meticulous and wonderful with her work! She has done 17 of our windows and dressed them with shades. From the start she has been the most personable and responsive vendor of all the ones I contacted in Irvine area. I contacted about 7-8 of them through Yelp. She was the most patient and flexible vendor of all the ones I contacted, and even when I actually cancelled our initial appt she was very understanding about it. The other vendors came back with very expensive (some outrageous) quotes and we just couldn't go with them. (One of them was a vendor we found through Costco too...) I asked a million questions and she answered all of them even before meeting me. She'll be honest with you about what would work and what won't. She'll appreciate your honesty and will work to meet your style and likes and avoid your dislikes. All the shades look so beautiful in our home and exactly how we wanted it. She sent us handwritten thank you cards to thank us for the business. It was so sweet! My husband and I hesitated at first because there weren't any reviews on Yelp about her and her business but it's only because she works with mostly interior designers. She knows what she's doing. She does her job very well! If you're in Orange County area looking to get your windows dressed with beautiful shades or drapes with reasonable prices, she's the best one for you! I made an appointment with Ona. She expressed she was busy and going to Europe for Vacation. She told me she would make time before she left . We agreed on a day when it was convenient for her . I needed alterations on my guest room drapes. I sent her photos and a video of both windows. Than the texting begins.... She needs a deposit before she came $150. Fine , But her attachment did not work. Than I spoke with her,could you invoice me on Venmo? Than it became confusing and it was the day before our appointment. She started speaking cost and it became more confusing. 1 hour before our scheduled appointment she requested payment ????? I called her and told her when she arrives we could settle payment needs. By the end of our conversation I decided to cancel the work order . She wasted my time ......... it's not the cost ! It's called being professional with customers !!!
