Greg's massage was well worth the price. He worked on my hips just as I requested and then noticed tension in my head and neck that I didn't even realize I was carrying until he released it. I feel on top of the world. And Rhonda gave a perfect pedicure. I have a toe injury, which she deftly worked around. She was so relaxed and pleasant the time flew by. The main reasons for my review. The wax tech seemed to enjoy putting me in pain. She didn't prep me before giving me a back wax. Very painful! She didn't even mention how my back was swelling and irritating but I noticed when she left the room, pus bumps followed immediately! Too expensive and guilted into tipping for a bad job. The facility was very nice, the staff didn't have lots of knowledge of what they're doing. I asked question I knew the answer to and they lied saying "laser hair removal is permanent. I've gotten much better gel manicures from cheaper places. Messy around the cuticle and only stayed on for a few days. Very nice and clean space. Probably much better for a massage. Essentially, gel manicures here are not worth your retirement savings. read more

I had an 80 minute hot stone massage with Jen and it was amazing! I've only had a handful of massages at other places but this was by far the best I've had! Jen was very tentative in helping me relax and breathe properly, and I appreciated the deep pressure where I needed it. She also gave me tips to help my upper back tension. Oh. My. Goodness. My first ever full body massage was at a different location and it pretty much sucked. Today was Beyond amazing! Jen at Om Spa is an angel! She was so understanding with things such as me getting the giggles once. Told me it's totally natural and normal and to flow with it towards relaxation. I felt my body tense, like going back and forth in the struggle to relax (which is just totally alll me and must stem from some insecurities, I feel like) =/ and she guided me through to realizing where my body was tensing (my thumbs) and helped me in relaxing once more. Another big thing for me is the struggle to tell someone "do this, don't do that" etc, such as at a nail or hair salon. I voiced this to her because she Encouraged me to voice Anything I needed, I asked her to modify pressure, she did & she thanked me for the good communication so that I could have the best experience possible, and in doing so she made me feel more confident. This place is what you'd expect to see in a movie with the robe and the ambiance and music. There's even drinks and snacks while you wait to be called back. Amazing. I was in from out of town and stumbled on this great spa. I had a pedi one day and then went back for a facial the next. Everyone was very nice, the relaxation room was lovely. I felt very comfortable there. It was my first time there and my first time getting a Brazilian Bikini Wax, which wasn't as painful is I had heard. They were so nice and friendly and were able to answer all of my questions. I loved how relaxing and calming the environment is. I have frequented OM spa and have enjoyed my massages. I booked a 90 minute massage with Greg and I was impressed with his knowledge after discussing my stress points in my back and his technique and professionalism. This was one of the best massages I have received at the spa and I will plan to book a future massage with him. The spa was clean and well appointed and the refreshments are always fresh. If I had to give an improvement suggestion, i would say fix the lighting in the entrance hall as it looked cool when it was all working. read more

I've been here several times before and the massages are always great. Today was no exception. My only complaint is that they allowed a family to bring in a young child, perhaps around 4 years old. She was in the general waiting/relaxation area which unsurprisingly turned out to be not so relaxing with a small child around. She was climbing all over the furniture and I almost got kicked by her several times. A spa is no place for a small child, especially if she isn't well-behaved. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that they normally do not allow children in and that the owner made an exception for this particular family. Unfortunately, my time there was not as relaxing as it should have been. I was not offered anything for the trouble. I was simply told that the owner would be alerted as someone else had complained as well. I would definitely go back here but will make sure that no children will be around to mar my spa day! Updated 1/31/2013 As mentioned previously, I do typically enjoy myself and am always relaxed after leaving this spa. After the last fiasco, the owner of the spa contacted me immediately and apologized for the disruption. I went back this past Monday with a friend. Experienced a classic pedicure, however was shorted by almost 15 minutes! The clinician was running behind and acknowledged that, however, I should not have been cheated of time I paid for. The ambiance is pleasant, however there was a group of women together who obviously did not know spa etiquette of being quiet. An employee did politely ask them to keep it down. The receptionist was pleasant upon checkin/checkout. Unlikely to return as there are better spas in the area. read more

Good overall experience. I've been coming here for the last 3 years or so, usually around my birthday in January. The facilities are always clean, staff always friendly, and the massage is always great! Also,the parking situation is better now than the last time I went because its free parking instead of paying a meter. My philosophy is that if women can have a spa day, men can too. Karen did my pedicure this morning and it was wonderful! I feel like I have feet again! She was personable, efficient, and gave a great experience. This place is on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it. There's a "relaxation area" with beverages and snacks while you wait. Lots of goodies to peruse in the entrance. Terrible experience! Was VERY disappointed especially since I thought the world of this place with massages. I had a 55min massage that was only literally 35mins long. But that was not the problem I wanted to just get out of that room. The massage therapist kept farting thru out my whole session it was disgusting truly. I was nauseated and did not relax or enjoy this massage whatsoever. At first I was like what is that smell than it would go away and when she was at my shoulders I smelled it again this time stronger, thought maybe it was the oil than it came again, this lady was actually farting with no regards to me. This is not a review of the spa itself, but simply a positive shout out to OM Day Spa regarding a recent mix up on my part. I purchased a $300.00 gift certificate for my daughter, thinking I was getting it for a Spa in Seattle Wa, also called OMDay Spa (which is actually no longer there). That purchase was based on Yelp lists for spas in Seattle (I guess Yelp lists can outlive the businesses they review). . Unfortunately, when I tried to go to the website to get the certificate I screwed up and bought it from OMDay spa in Michigan. My daughter alerted me to my mistake and said that the certificate said no refunds. I called Om in Michigan and spoke to the director Zade who was very understanding and had no problem doing a refund. Strictly speaking, he did not need to do that, but he did. That is how you treat people, customer or otherwise, and if I ever have the pleasure of being in Dearborn I will be stopping by for a massage. Thanks Zade and OM Day Spa. read more

I'm not one to write reviews, especially not bad ones, but I figured i would save a lot of you time and money. I came into Om Spa on 6/18/18, in hopes to buy my mother, wife and sister gift cards. I'm not one to brag but I was ready to spend a hefty amount. When I came in it was chaos, there was a young blonde girl at the front who had absolutely no idea what she was doing. I was standing there for 5 minutes before she even greeted me. I began to ask her about the different packages and she was as clueless as me, she was reading off a paper directly to me as if I couldn't read myself. Not to mind you there were phones ringing and she just let them ring even after I told her she could take the call. She was reading at the slowest pace as if I was illiterate. I'm not trying to bash on her but if this is supposedly a "5 star spa" I don't want to know what a 1 star spa is. I've been there before and there was a brunette female working at the front I believe her name was Zeinab and a man with brunette hair his name is Ziad I know for sure because we spoke many times on the phone and they were very quick, helpful, and efficient. I'm disappointed to say the least and decided to leave without purchasing anything. I wasn't going to leave a review but my wife told me I should because it was honestly a very disappointing experience. She didn't want me to leave a review on her yelp so I decided to make one myself and save a lot of you time. Hopefully she is just subbing in for someone else, otherwise I do not think I'll be returning. read more

I had a wonderful experience here!! I had a couples massage with my girlfriend, both therapists were wonderful. My girlfriend is a pianist and was blessed to have Lori as her masseuse, she alleviated her tendon pain in one session. I had Andrew as my masseuse and couldn't have asked for a better massage - Our muscles were like jello when we left, quite a wonderful feeling for two extremely stressed people! I've gotten wonderful facials and pedicures from here as well. They have specials constantly, so everytime I went I saved money. I recommend this place to everyone! read more

extremely rude front desk people. I requested a certain massage therapist only to arrive for my appointment and see yet had moved it to someone else without telling me. the changing area is a joke, anyone who opens the door will give passers by a free show. the lockers are extremely poor quality, I did not feel like my contents were safe. the "relaxation area" was extremely loud - I could hear the gaggles and gossip of the nail ladies the entire time I was there. the food left out was comical - extremely picked over. there were maybe 5 piece of chocolate and no water both before and after my massage. worst of all, there were ants all over the floor underneath the table. the massage itself wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. I would have rather had my boyfriend give me a back rub in the comfort and cleanliness of my own home. overall a complete waste of money. I will not be back. read more

My wife and daughter had nails done on Saturday. Nails were fine, but pay in cash. Debit card was swiped several times and my wife was assured that the transaction only went through once. You guessed it. Double charged on our debit card. My wife went back to Om on Monday and was told to come back on Tuesday after 4 p.m. and the manager would be in and could assist her. My wife went back Tuesday and was told they did not have a record of a double charge and that it must have been our credit union's fault. That's completely ridiculous. Our credit union did not swipe the card multiply times. We called our credit union Wednesday (today) and tried to get our $113 back. Our debit card is a Master Card. We are responsible for $50, so instead of being out $113 we're only out an additional $50. I'm sure Om's bank account will show the extra $113. They would not even take responsibility for multiple swipes because it was the responsibility of the credit card company. There was a complete indifference on behalf of Om for the trouble they caused. Pay in cash! read more
