Overall good experience. I am generally satisfied with my purchase. I could tell that they have pride in their customer care and honesty. My calls and texts were responded to even on Cary's day off! Their online picture quality was poor, but Cary had patience with me and sent pics and info that I requested. I was somewhat of a high maintenance customer since I was buying from about 6 hours away. + Car was reasonably priced. + The car was in better condition than expected. Scratches were disclosed and quite minor. Interior was also much cleaner than expected. +They also applied an undercoating at no additional charge. +They offered a limited 4-month warranty at a reasonable cost under $300. And extended ones for more. -I'd recommend checking the air filters prior to purchasing. Although they had Jensen Tire and Auto for an oil change prior to sale, the air filters were both super dirty at purchase. + The dealer was understanding and gave me a discount for the dirty air filters. read more

Our daughter found a car on the website for 5000 which is the amount of cash she had saved. When she went to go look at the car they claimed it had problems and they would have to put it in the shop and they didn't have anything else in her price range. Then they tried to sell her a car twice the amount. It was the old bait and switch. He asked a few questions (VIN, miles on tires) and made an offer of a next-day sale. It was a few hundred under our asking price, but worth it to us for how timely the sale would be. We drove to Omaha from Lincoln after work the next day and the Car Stop team was ready for us. Buyer beware 2010 Honda Element, dealer doesn't tell you that it has more damage than it does. Shows a car fax which shows a rear hit damage that is not bad. Looks nice on body and interior, but open the hood and take a look at the right passenger front fender to see the poorly repaired front end as he trys to tell you that he knew the previous owner and the history of the vehicle that's why he is selling this salvaged titled vehicle. The car fax shows plainly he sold the vehicle a few months ago, it was obvious to me it was in another accident but accident not reported to carfax, but it showed they recently replaced the radiator and the condenser, oh and the 15 year old headlights looked new as well as the new front bumper. Dealer states he knows nothing about the front end accident. Just know the vehicle is not in excellent condition and the dealer is being less than honest. REALISTIC REVIEW. I spent an Entire day trekking around Omaha, visiting dealers looking at overpriced junk. I have terrible credit and could only get a $10k loan from an FCU, which was not much to work with at all. My last stop, was car stop. The car I wanted was above my budget, so they worked with me until after closing hours in order to get the entire price of the car financed, with terms of my choice, AND got me a better insurance rate than amo other company I had looked through (and with a lower deductible). IMPORTANT!!! This dealership gets new cars almost every day. None of the cars are the auction trash other dealers buy to flip for a quick buck. Always check a car out before you buy it, but the car I bought from them was in very good working order and very clean. It did take a while to get everything set up with how many customers they had at once, but in the end they stayed back to get me what I needed and worked with me all the way. PARENTS!! I'd say this is a good place to get your teens a good running car at a good price. YOUNG ADULTS!! If you're down and out, and looking for something solid yo get you through, please check this place out. They got me going in my time of great need and I'm sure they would be more than happy to help you too. Paperwork problems from the time we drove, they failed to file the license plate with the county, and the loan paper work, all delayed a month. Then the car it totaled in a wreak ( btw the airbag never deployed) . We bought the extended warranty. So a refund was in order for the warranty.. that was 4 months ago, of them lying they filed the paperwork. Then when the paperwork was properly filed. Our experience was "okay." They seemed confused a lot of the time and didn't communicate that well. The salesman didn't really know anything about the car he was selling and didn't really know how to make all the features work. Luckily another coworker had more info so then I knew it was going to be a good deal/good trade. I did a full trade, which means I should get my title within a matter of days. They told me I would since there is no needed for processing. Bought it on November 16, and I called today to follow up on the title and they hasn't sent it out 3 weeks later. I had already followed up prior and they lied and said it was on its way already. Very unprofessional. By the time it comes, if it's been four weeks I'll have to fight the city for a fee because I didn't register my vehicle in time. Keepin this as simple as possible. I bought a 2005 Toyota Highlander outright at a fair price and found it had some extreme repairs needed (head gasket blown and other issues). It's really on me for missing the issue, as Joe (my salesmen) made it known that it was an outright purchase. The dealership did not have any history on the vehicle. Lamenting my stupidity I got back in touch with Joe, and, respectfully, shared my displeasure. All the responsibility was on me at that point but Joe made it right and helped me with repair costs. I gotta say that's above and beyond for them to do anything at all. I would recommend The Car Stop but I also advise to be aware of what your purchasing. Not everyone is going to get the help I did but I can not hate them when they try to make customers aware that an outright purchase of a used car... is all on you. read more

Car stop was recommended to me by my family. I stopped in and informed the salesman Wes of that upon meeting him. Letting him know how I found the dealership and my back story of why I'm searching for a New Vehicle for my children. They seemed very stand-offish about us as we walked through the door it felt as if the Air got thin and the room got quiet. We got to test drive a vehicle and we fell in love with it and began the application process to finance. They didn't even fully add all income on the first application even after we provided it in the beginning. Calls were never returned at all not even Emails. Whenever I would be forced to call them to receive a update on my application after having to file multiple applications online because none of the applications were apparently good enough. I would call to speak to Wes and end up getting attitudes from the women who answered the phone or placed on hold multiple times, they would cut me off as I spoke and talk over me as the consumer or customer. They seemed very unprofessional to whomever they choose to dislike or not want to do business with. I wouldn't go to a place of business like this who doesn't treat their customers with respect. They almost seem to have discrimination issues toward their customers. Wes was rude the women who answer the phone are rude. I was even told by Wes after telling him "we went to another dealership and they accepted all the paper work we provided however we are car shopping and have chosen Carstop or Edwards as our two favorites so one of the two will be getting money from us so we are trying to finish the application process with them so we can make a decision on who fits our budget as far as down payment and monthly payment." (Said all this respectfully letting him know we appreciate who they are as a business to choose them as a favorite) he then responded with an attitude "Well I don't care what Edwards does if you want to go to them and see how well that works for you then be my guest" I was completely shocked and had enough I was like these people are rude and disrespectful and definitely do not deserve my business or my money! I do not recommend you going here if you aren't some high roller or someone they don't look Down on! If you receive any type of income that isn't serious work based example if you receive disability or social security legitimately they seem to frown upon that class of people no matter if you have the money to consistently pay on time or not. We have the money we have a amazing record of paying on time and yet we were still treated like trash from the minute our feet stepped inside of the establishment. I purchased a vehicle from the Omaha Car stop in July of 2017, 10 days later I had over $1200 in repairs to the front end. All repairs made by a reputable mechanic who stated I almost lost my front drivers wheel. I purchased this vehicle with the assurance that the vehicle had been inspected. I have had 6 other moderately expensive to highly expensive repairs after the initial front end repairs ranging from heater cores, clutch fans, head gaskets, transmission, muffler, and typical high mileage repairs. I never disputed things that could be overlooked during an inspection. I attempted to reason with Omaha Car Stop via phone, and e-mail over the course of a few months. I was treated like a nuisance, not a customer who had choose their company to provide a quality service. I contacted the Attorney Generals Office, Consumer fraud division to assist in mediation of my complaint. The Attorney Generals Office took notice and attempted to mediate my complaint. Several e-mails were sent back and forth via mediation of the Attorney Generals Office. I was told numerous times that the vehicle had been inspected, as well as comments about an on staff mechanic who checks the vehicles. I have all documents with owner of Omaha Car Stop saying "We do not have, or never have had a mechanic that works for us at our Omaha Car stop location" "We do not have a mechanic on our site, and we do not inspect vehicles" I want any future customers to be aware that the Omaha Car Stop does not inspect their vehicles, they do not have a mechanic, and consumers should be hesitant at any comments made by staff about the condition of a vehicle. To date from July 2017 I have placed $6,800 dollars in repairs to this vehicle read more
