First of all the positive! Everyone at the dealership was friendly and the BMW Genius that I worked with was especially good. I am disappointed that they "take 20 days" to pay off my old car. They have had my old car listed on their site for a week while I am still paying interest on the new and old loan. They snail mailed a check to my bank ( Why was this not overnighted ) which is taking an excessive amount of time. I feel like I'm paying their floor plan costs so they can hopefully sell my old car while I still hold the note. The next thing I was disappointed in was the confusion on which part of the dealership I was supposed to go to. I did look at the certified pre owned BMW but I was also looking at what I thought was a brand new BMW ( Turns out it was mislabeled on the website as a new car with 0 miles ). When I arrived I was quickly moved over to the Mini dealership. I ultimately ended up purchasing a new BMW but the shuffling between the Mini and BMW side didn't make me feel like I was getting the premium experience they advertise on all the Facebook ads I see. I'm not sure why they don't do ALL BMWs ( used and new ) on the BMW side. This review has no bearing on the people I worked with but more dealership policies that caused confusion and the excessive amount of time to pay off my old car WHILE they are trying to sell it. read more

I just left Onyx after meeting with service advisor Chris and then his manager regarding damage to my vehicle during my last visit -- a fresh scratch on the rear bumper and visible rippling on the steering wheel. When I brought up the steering wheel issue, the manager claimed he didn't know how it could've happened. I explained that this kind of wear is often caused by items in technicians' pockets rubbing against the wheel when getting in and out. The fact that a manager at a BMW dealership was unaware of this common issue is baffling. His response? "I can't control what people have in their pockets," and he refused to take responsibility. When I pressed further, he pointed out that my car has 50,000 miles and claimed he couldn't say when the damage happened -- despite the ripples clearly being fresh. He then dismissed the issue entirely, now with a bit of an attitude. Ironically, they were willing to buff out the scratch on the bumper -- but at that point, I simply asked for my keys back. This isn't an isolated incident. The same exact thing happened to a friend's brand-new M3, also at Onyx. Frankly, I can count on one hand how many positive experiences I've had at this dealership. I'm a proud owner of four BMWs and an active BMW CCA member -- I expect better, and I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. read more

I never thought I would be writing a review of a car dealership that was positive but here we are. These guys have been nothing but professional from start to finish with my acquisition of a leased vehicle to ship to another state. Even though we had a few hiccups, they were quick to address them graciously and without fight. Really truly impressed with this dealership and how seriously they take what they do. Was working on an agreement with Jason on a Volvo s40(Nice car) and told him another dealership had one for a few hundred dollars less. He agreed to meet me on the price of the car and away we went, or so I thought. As it turns out another couple *Happened* to be in the dealership at the exact same time looking at the same car. He told me if it didn't sell he'd get back to me and we'd make a deal. Called me back 30 minutes later (Quick non deal I guess?) and said they wanted to think it over, and gave me a chance to buy it. Perfect! Except that for some reason a couple coming in and deciding *NOT* to buy the car meant they were renegging on our discounted deal and I could get the car above what we agreed upon. Ah gotta love scumbag salesmen tactics. I told him I wasn't comfortable with the timing of that supposed deal and would pass. His manager, Dillon called and offered me the original deal, but by that point it was kind of obvious what kind of dealership they were, and I passed. So thank you Jason Trihn and Dillon Johnson, for giving me a roadmap of what not to look for in a used car salesmen. Buyers beware of this company. I purchased a slightly used car from ONYX and regret that decision. I have tried on numerous occasions to call the dealership and talk with Trent, the Finance Manager, regarding some questions that I have. I have not received any call backs and I have better things to do than harass him by calling every hour. This is by far the worst customer service experience at a dealership that I have ever encountered. I realize the building and the automobiles they sell are nice, but customers satisfaction is not high on their priority list. I wish I would have read the reviews already posted and it would have saved me a bunch of stress. I guess my only action is drive out there and get into someones face or contact the media. read more

When you buy a Cooper, one of the best things is caring about you and the car after the sale. in my recent experience with Mini of Omaha, it is clear this is not part of their goals. I took the car in for something specific, and the service area decided to come up with additional issues to increase their profit. when I picked up the car over 10 DAYS later, they didn't wash, vacuum or clean the inside, the seat wasn't adjusted (all part of the care factor I expect), they broke an actual adjustment of the driver side seat that is important to the driver and they didn't even question a warning light that was now illuminated on the dash. Final insult, all four tires had been deflated - for reasons I cannot fathom - which could have been taken care of had they actually noticed the warning light. I will never go back and will instead drive to KC to the Mini dealership from whom the great service I expect is given. Yes, 6 hours on the road, but that should indicate the seriousness of this review. read more

We were in Omaha visiting from Illinois and came down with two flat tires. I called ONYX and they were so helpful in letting me know I could drive on the tires and that they had the stock to replace my damaged tires. That night, we ended up being in a hail storm and our windshield was destroyed. The next morning, I called the dealership and they again had what we needed in stock. The car was towed in and they went to work right away on repairing the vehicle. When I spoke to them, they thought it would take a few days but when I mentioned that we had to get back to Illinois for work, they pushed our car through and got it done in less than 24 hours. My service advisor, Keith Marshall was awesome at communicating the progress on the vehicle and his manager, Nick Appletoft pushed it through to get done on time. Hands down the greatest! This is the 2nd car we've purchased from Onyx in 2 years. We've had nothing but the greatest service anytime we walk in those doors. Roxy is absolutely the sweetest! I purchased my 2020 mini from Onyx in January. In July, the brake warning light came on, so I made an appointment for service. Initially, the service advisor said that the would assess to see if I needed brake pad replacement. I remembered that we were told at the time of purchase the brakes were done & new tires were also put on the car. As it turned out, it was a faulty sensor, so that was replaced under warranty. In August after we returned from a driving vacation, where we only drove on highways, and the air worked perfectly, I drove the car & the air conditioning would not cool at all. So I made another appt. The service person thought the coolant had leaked out but couldn't find where. When I first pulled in for service, my brakes squealed so loud all of the techs looked up. So I agreed, they should be looked at. So they sai, there was a buildup of "gunk" on the pads, which should be cleaned up. The charge for this visit was $841. I had approved the AC work, which ended up with the addition of Freon with dye added to determine the leak location. I also agreed to the brake cleaning but was kind of shocked that was approx. $400 too, So $841. One week later, no air, take it back to the dealer& the leak is either in the condenser or a line. Estimate $2700. Since the was a CPO & has original warranty, I asked if that covered any of this work, nope. So I did some checking & the replacement condenser part, if needed, is less than $200 & the line is minimal. We, despite asking, were never given the carfax printout when we purchased the car. I called & requested it be sent to us,but that has never been received. Last weekend I did some research & eventually purchased the review of the car & found out the car has been in a minor accident, which we were not told about either. Service talked to sales about sending us the carfax yesterday & they were supposed to email it to me yesterday. That still has not occurred. The dealership has some friendly people, it's a very attractive &has a great place to wait but, I'd rather get reasonably priced service & better follow through, then snacks & coffee. read more

I've been driving a Mini Cooper since 2008, and have seen many changes to our local dealership over the years. Onyx is a cut above the rest. My sales guy Jared was able to find me my white whale, a manual transmission Mini 2 door hardtop with all the options. He got me out of my lease a few months early, and had me down the road in perhaps the easiest dealership experience I've ever had. George, my finance guy was also wonderful. We went over my lease agreement and available options in plain english, and he made sure I knew what to expect. Later, when there was cause to re-do some of the paperwork, he was able to use Docusign, so I never had to leave the comfort of home to complete the new paperwork. Very convenient! Last but certainly not least, their service department is amazing. Vince, the Mini service writer I most often work with, is wonderful. He remembers me every time I come out with something new. (Potholes ate 6 of my tires a couple years back. I was in there what felt like monthly having one or two replaced!). He's bent over backwards to make sure I have a good experience and leave happy. I'm extremely brand loyal to Mini, and I'm very glad that the local dealership represents the brand so well. I can't recommend Onyx enough. read more

The negotiations process was a bit more of an old-school back and forth haggling process which is undesirable, but this is a reflection of the dealership, not him. Hi. I want to warn everyone of our experience with H & H BMW dealership. We had a large bill for repairs on our 2006 3 series. We started looking at pre-owned cars & part of the deal was that they would pay for our repair & give us a $750 trade in value. We were negotiating on the pre-owned car & they came back saying that the repairs were already started & we would be liable. After they "looked into it more" they said it was their mistake & they would knock off $100 the price (this is for a 5 year loan so just pennies & an insult). After I mentioned it was an insult & that I would communicate our bad experience with my military family, they threatened not making the deal at all! These people play games. Please stay away from them. They took advantage of our situation! read more

This is a brutally dishonest dealership. I bought a used car from H&H in November. It came with a clean bill of health on their Open Road certified inspection report. In May, when the weather (finally) warmed, I learned the air conditioning did not work. Upon inspection, the A/C was clearly damaged and had been patched together, including tubing held together by zip ties. The compressor and condenser were ruined and the entire A/C system had to be replaced. Cost me $2,800! When I called H&H, I was told by Sales Manager Tony Anderson and General Sales Manager John McEllewain that it is not their policy to warranty a used vehicle beyond three months from the sale. So apparently then it IS their policy to lie on the certified inspection report. read more

Stay away! They are crooks that tried to charge us for the factory warranty. They have ZERO contact after a sale even though they promise to follow up and come to your house to answer any questions that have arisen. Especially stay away if you live in Iowa. Their title clerk is so inept that it took over 6 weeks to get the paperwork to register the car, so we had to pay a penalty. While at the DMV, another guy was having to pay a penalty because he purchased his Jaguar from H&H and they screwed up his paperwork. Worst Mini dealer ever! read more

What started as a very pleasant interaction with their service department ended in total disappointment. They never even tried to redeem there error by simply contacting me, offering an apology or absorbing my expenses caused by their errors. Here's what occurred: My battery was fine upon drop off. One week later I came to pick up after having a few repairs done. The porter tells me, "your battery is dead let me jump start it for you". I talked to the one service rep on duty and he says "I know nothing about it". He drove it around and checked it on their meter. He says "it's slow to start but it'll be fine". I told him I have several stops to make on my 3hr drive home. Needless to say I stopped for gas just north of Lincoln and it would not start back up...it was completely dead. I had to buy a set of cables and find someone to jump start my car. Due to this situation, I had to cancel all my stops for picking up necessities. Once home, I put the battery on the charger for several hours. The battery was so drained by the lack of attention to prevent this from happening in the first place, that I now have to replace it. I did message Chett (my service rep) about this. The only response from him was a text wanting to know if I was satisfied?!! Total lack of concern and incompetency is my experience. read more

Took over 6 months to put a new engine in my vehicle because other customers were "a bigger priority." They took away my loaner leaving me car less since I was putting so many miles on it (2000) in the time span of 3 months, so had to find another means of transportation while they took there time with my repair. The entire time had the worst customer service I've ever experienced even after talking to Tony (the highest in charge). Markel used to genuinely care about its customers, now it's just another Chevy/Kia dealership. read more

So, I just received your email regarding "the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation" and to be honest, I am VERY DISAPPOINTED. Your "complimentary pick-up and drop-off for all Service Maintenance and Repairs" is a questionable practice when you nor anyone else, will have any idea what type of environment (specifically, what virus is present) your employees are entering into when they pick up the vehicles. An environment your employees will then be taking home to their families, their parents, and/or their grandparents. I don't know how being "stocked with soap in the restrooms and hand sanitizer, as available" is going to be any consolation if one of your employees comes home with the COVID 19 virus. To be blunt, your idea of safeguarding against COVID 19 is reckless. NO ONE KNOWS enough about this thing. Plan for the worst while hoping and praying for the best. Let me be blunt in my feelings about this, your actions by not taking EVERY PRECAUTION to safeguard your employees is UNCONSCIONABLE!!!! You are putting your employees, their families, and ultimately, YOUR COMMUNITY AT RISK. PLEASE RECONSIDER. read more

My review pertains to a service experience at H&H a few months ago on my BMW X1, for which I sought service for repairs on a wheel from damage done from a large pothole. H&H quoted me at $7,000-8,000 for what they explained were necessary repairs. After getting my insurance company involved, my insurance agent determined that the depth of repairs needed were far less than what H&H quoted -- taking the repairs cost down from $7,000-8,000 to $1,500. And guess what? Three months later my car is just fine with the more minimal repairs negotiated by my insurance company. My takeaway was clear: you will be upsold on any repairs needed. This tactic, though not uncommon amongst dealerships, certainly damages any bit of trust that a customer may have wished to have in their tactics. In this experience, the staff was friendly though very disorganized. I was offered a loaner on short notice which was greatly appreciated, however the disorganized and chaos reigned from the start of my experience to end, including an extensive search by the H&H for my car keys when I arrived to pick up my car at the end. While I waited for my lost keys, I did enjoy snacks in customer lounge. I recently tried to give them another opportunity by scheduling a simple oil change. Upon calling and requesting a cost for that service, the service associated quoted me the cost for the oil change but said that labor was separate and couldn't tell me what the cost would be. I had to be persistent in order get that information. Upon a receiving an e-mail confirmation of the visit, the email categorized the visit in a more vague, costly category requiring diagnostic testing for a service light indicator, which I did not ask for. Again, I suspect attempts to be upsold. read more

I recently went online for research and information on some new cars as I needed one. I came across the make/model of what I was looking for finally and it was H&H Kia. That location is on South 84th St. The website said "Premier Automotve" and H&H. I had a decent buying experience that last car I bought. So with that in mind, I went to H&H again. The dealership consists of Mini, BMW (Mini's parent), and Jaguar. It felt weird pulling into the BMW dealer for a brand new used car for less than $20K. When we went in I showed the first attendant the vehicle on the website, complete with VIN. Moments later, Trent came up with the aforementioned vehicle and appeared to start with the talk that all salespersons engage. The whole "What do I have to do to get you behind the wheel of this baby?" schpeel. I abruptly halted him, and he was well to respond. We both realized that there was to be no bullshit between us. He had the car, we had the money. It was late in the day so no test drive. Instead we took the car home for the night and had an appointment early the next day. We arrived on time and Trent greeted us and sat down with a simple piece of paper. No haggling, bartering. No going back and forth to his manager. No traditional tactics that are used in the industry. In the end, we paid the reasonable asking price minus the trade value of our car. Mike, the finance manager, was quick with paperwork and finalizing the deal. I highly recommend going and seeing what they have as I am sure they can get what you need. read more

Let me start this out by saying that I love my Jeep! However, the experience with Dean wasn't enough to refer a friend. He spent most of the time humble bragging: on how he inspects cars as if he were to buy it (yet missed a few flaws on the body I found easily), on how amazing his online reviews are, on how he has a system to remember names, (yet called me the wrong name when explaining his system), and even about his nice house. I learned a lot more about him than he cared to learn about me. When I asked to bring the price down a little, he met my request with the statement about how the type of people that shop there don't worry about the price. And lastly before I left, he joked saying 'maybe I could've gotten you to pay more if I brought up the free car washes before!' despite the fact that it's included with every Onyx car purchase. read more

Service was fine. The bigger issues were with the shuttle driver who picked me up at my home to get my car. First, he did not have his mask on, and didn't put it on until I was getting in the back seat. Even more irksome was he was listening to Rush Limbaugh on talk radio. No employee would be allowed to engage in political conversation with a customer for fear of alienating and/or offending that customer. Talk radio (conservative or liberal) does the same. Do your job in silence, or pick something non-controversial, like classical music. At the very least, ask the customer what s/he/they prefer. read more
