First time trying omakase was here at Omakai. We went to the Wynwood location and the indoors is modern and intimate. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the same as well. We ended up going with the Omakai experience. For 75 dollars this is a great deal. I can't remember everything that was served but everything was well thought out and delicious. The sashimi especially was amazing and fresh. I thought that this was a great place to experience omakase at a reasonable price and highly recommend you visit your neighborhood Omakai.

Stopped by for happy hour (daily from 3:30-6:30 PM) and this spot was sooooo mf good. It's really cute inside clean, calm, and aesthetically pleasing. Very warm, serene vibe with neutral tones. Definitely the kind of place you'd come to unwind and just enjoy good sushi without any chaos. Parking: Street parking is available, but it is paid, so keep that in mind before pulling up. The servers were very helpful and kind overall. My only complaint is that food came out a bit slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy at the time. Like serve me all my orders all at once pleaseeeeee so I can indulge lol What I Had: _________________ Sashimi Assortment - 10/10 Freaking delicious. Light, decadent, and incredibly fresh. Each piece tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of sashimi that melts the second it hits your mouth. They did their thing! Kanpachi Sashimi - 10/10 So good. Soft, delicate, and perfectly fresh. Every bite was balanced and flavorful without being heavy at all. Nigiri - White Fish Tasting - 11/10 Hands down my favorite part of my experience. I ordered multiple rounds (they come two per order), including branzino and snapper. The branzino was unreal. I wanted only branzino... that is how marvelous it was. Topped with this umami crunch that added so much texture and flavor. It was literally mouthwatering, like a burst of flavor in every bite. I honestly could've kept ordering this all night. Nigiri - Bluefin Tuna Tasting - 5/10 This one just wasn't for me. It wasn't fishy, but the texture was very slimy and didn't sit well in my mouth. It didn't swallow smoothly and just wasn't appetizing to me personally. Definitely a pass. Blue Crab Hand Roll - 6.5/10 I know this is a fan favorite, but it was just okay for me. Not bad at all, just didn't wow me compared to everything else I had. For $6, it's fine, but I wouldn't rush to reorder it. Customer Service: 8.5/10 Friendly and helpful, just slightly slow. Overall Experience: 9/10 Will I Be Back? Yes, absolutely. This establishment has been TAMIED™

Big fan of Omakai! This was my first time at the Wynwood location and as anticipated, it did not disappoint! The freshest tasting sushi at great prices in my opinion. If you happen to go during happy hour, they have great food and drink deals that you just cannot beat anywhere else. I did try the unagi foie gras for the first time and it was delicious! I will def be getting that every time I go. I didn't catch his name, but our server was extremely polite and helpful, which always makes the visit that much better! I was so hungry I forgot to take pics!

If you're in Miami and NOT going to Omakai... what are you even doing? I booked the Oma Deluxe experience after randomly finding Omakai on the DoorDash app under the Reservations tab (yes, DoorDash came through!). Honestly, best accidental discovery ever. From the moment I sat down, the vibe was warm, modern, and effortlessly cool--special but never pretentious. And then came the real magic... the food. Every piece of nigiri was like a tiny poem. The texture, the freshness, the balance--chef's kiss doesn't even begin to describe it. At one point I swear I closed my eyes and forgot I had real-world responsibilities. The staff deserves their own spotlight. Friendly, patient, and clearly passionate, they made the entire night feel like an experience rather than just a meal. That kind of energy? Rare. Omakai nails it. I'm traveling from NJ and now Omakai is officially on my must-visit list every time I'm in Miami. If you want an omakase experience that's fun, flavorful, and unforgettable, run--don't walk--to Omakai. Your taste buds will send you a thank-you note.

We found this place to have a great date night in a Wednesday night. We were looking for a place with rolls, and I was kinda bummed they don't have rolls (except hand rolls); however.. decides to try it out. DID NOT DISSAPPOINT. Let's start with parking, Wednesday night very easy working in front with mobile app. Weekends might be full since I know wynwood is very popular. We were seated immediately. For a Wednesday late night the place still had a couple tables with people. Logan was our server, what an amazing experience he delivered. Offered recommendations, ask what we usually liked, and he was 100% on point. We tried a variety of nigiri and we couldn't stop ordering. The freshness of fish is delightful. Melts in your mouth. Flavors very well paired to deliver an exquisite experience. .

Another great experience dining here for my friends bday. We were supposed to go somewhere else but convinced them this was better. They were not disappointed either! We got welcome shots for the bday girl but I don't drink. I'm happy they had non alcoholic option for me (peach Bellini). It was refreshing and peachy. Service has always been very good every time I've gone.

We stopped by after a night out in wynwood and they sat us right away as a walk in! This place is beautiful, but small, but intimate. We sat right at the bar. The staff is so kind from the waitress, to the server, to the food runner. I ordered the oma omakase. It started with an appetizer (they gave edamame with thick salt crystals, yum). Then they did their sashimi special with caramelized onions. Bonus points for giving two huge sides of ginger. The experience continued with: Kanpachi Nigiri Salmon Nigiri Yellowtail Nigiri Bluefin Tuna Nigiri And ended with 2 hand rolls (their special i believe it was salmon, and then a blue crab one). We had a great overall experience. There are better tasting sushi spots in my opinion but the service and ambiance make this a great place!

Christian provided an overall stellar service!! First time coming to Omakai and a truly felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. Came on a Thursday afternoon 30 minutes shy from their happy hour. However I opted for their Omakai experience and it did not disappoint, 17 incredible dishes. I also chose the Heaven Sake flight... Delish! I had an incredible experience and Christian made it all possible. I will definitely be back. I would've taken more pics but I just really wanted to enjoy and savor every bite!!

I ordered from Omakai Sushi on Uber Eats because a friend recommended it, but unfortunately my order arrived upside down and didn't taste as good as I hoped. The sushi was a bit too fishy, and I wish there were more sauces to enhance the flavor.

This place is definitely more casual than other places that offer omakases, and I did not realize it's not a true style omakase where you're sitting at a sushi counter - they bring you the courses one by one still! With that said, $50 for about 8 nigiri, 2 hand rolls, and an appetizer is fairly priced. The sashimi special and bluefin nigiri were my favorites. The sushi rice was not what I expected either... it didn't have that sticky texture you'd expect. I liked how they didn't put a huge amount of rice per bite. You still leave very full! Service was good too. Next time I'd probably just check out happy hour and call it a day.

+.5 for service This was my group's first meal after arriving in Miami from Toronto. Since it was Christmas Day, not many places are open, but this was! We were a party of 5, and after going thru the menu and looking at reviews here we decided on 4 OMA Deluxes and some a la carte options to fill the 5th party. Each of the OMA Deluxe items were amazing, and the servers will explain exactly what's included in each of the dishes. You honestly get excellent value out of the $50 you pay, even if the portions are on the smaller size. Sucks that the exchange rate is so bad for us Canadians right now. The hand rolls in particular were amazing, it's not like the typical cone-shaped hand rolls that many are accustomed to. Service was excellent here. Overall an excellent introduction meal for my group for our first night in Florida.

I ordered a charcuterie tray for the three of us; it's not premade. You pick the ingredients and then they are charged à la carte. For the one we enjoyed with Brie, prosciutto and jam. It came up to about $40. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay - nicely cool and crisp - while chatting and enjoying the game. I think they just have bottles, not wine by the glass. I'd certainly recommend Magie for a casual date night, or nightcap after dinner elsewhere. The patio with string lights and all does seem cute for a quiet evening.

From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. The food was also great we ordered the Caesar Fries, the Magie Plate which came with the bread, strawberry spread and some olives and pickles for the meats, we also got the Hot Dog and everything we had was really good. As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.
