Notes: 1) been here once 2) good seating 3) automatic gratuity (18%) Pros: 1) food was amazing and fish was fresh 2) service was great 3) ambiance was good and it was nice to sit in front of the chef Cons: 1) automatic gratuity on bill of a part of one Rating: 5/5 It was a great place to go get a late lunch/ early dinner at. The food/ fish were really fresh. The ambiance was amazing. The service was good. I had no complaints. The automatic gratuity of a one party person was a lot for me. I think I was going to tip well already but the automatic tip was a bit much for me. Overall: I would give this place a shot. It is worth it.

Amazing! Authentic japanese experience. They cook the food right infront of you. Food was very fresh and high quality We recommend gyu don and the kaison roll!

One of my favorite new date night spots. Really enjoyed their sashimi, the friendly staff and the sushi bar vibes. I might end up becoming a regular here lol. Check this place out!

Highly recommend for fresh fish and delicious Japanese food. They also have a mini market with sake and snacks.10 out of 10!

Tuna Nigiri

Best and most authentic Japanese donburi restaurant In Miami. And honestly the most understated fresh sushi you can have!

Decided to try this spot dude to the reviews on the fresh sushi. The fish itself is good but my rolls were put together poorly and no wasabi was included which is odd. Probably would be better off going for the nigiri but absolutely not happy with the rolls considering two rolls cost $30 only to fall apart. Service was good and if you want to sit down it would be more appropriate

Salmon Ikura Don

Delicious, fresh fish right in the center of Brickell. Smaller restaurant but very cozy and nicely decorated with friendly, kind service as well. I ordered the salmon ikura don and the fish was outstanding. The nigiri and other bowls available also looked great and I can't wait to come back.

Eggplant and Tofu Don

The quality can't be beat. Everything we ordered was outstanding. If you're looking for a place with all the sauces and toppings, this isn't it. This is quality fish and they let it shine. Wide assortment of Don bowls as well. We had the pork belly, the chicken thigh, and the eggplant and tofu. I've never had tofu that tasted so good! There's also a market to pick up some good items and all is clean, which is always appreciated. The service was also really sweet. We came on a rainy Monday afternoon and pretty much had the place to ourselves. If you're a tuna lover, you must try it!

Excellent place and I'm definitely going back, the only waitress was nice and I also tried the salmon shashimi

Kaisen Don
Dannielle C.

I stopped in craving some sushi and had the Kaisen Don. It was delicious and the fish was so fresh! It is a bit on the pricey side but the quality makes it worthwhile. The sushi bar is cute to sit at and watch the sushi chef make your meal too!

Are here twice in 48 hours; what a charming wait staff and restaurant. The rolls and food is just spectacular, the fish is top tier and their miso soup is some of the best I've had outside of Asia. Service is excellent, the menu is really varied and the rolls were packed and not overly filled with rice which I appreciated. I had the Salmon Ikura Don the first night which was truly outstanding. Hubby tried the Golden Curry Don and neither of us left a grain of their perfectly cooked rice. The next night hubby had the Niku Udon, another friend we brought had the Gyu Don and I had the Yellowtail Scallion Roll and a Scallop Handroll. We shared edamame and both guys got beers Asahi is on draft. There are two three tops and a chefs counter that we saw (I think more tables on the other side), but a great space and amazing food.

They had a duck confit special tonight that was so delicious, it came with a gravy, poached pears and mushrooms. My favorite dish was their foie gras , definitely a rich dish but is paired with some balsamic reductions and various jellies to cut on the richness of the fat. The anchovies were just the right amount of salty and fatty and paired well with the breads. The music was a vibe crossing genres and decades. We tried their iberico ham, roasted artichokes, eggplant and pepper, pork cheek, and house bread. We enjoyed every dish and ordered seconds of the pork cheek and bread! As these are small plates, and their menu is limited, I would suggest ordering one of their rice dishes. Although we did not try it this time, I would expect it quality to be consistent across the whole menu. The wait staff were super friendly and provided us with lots of good advice and recommendations for our order. Overall we had a good time at this restaurant.

Don't get me wrong, they are still excellent, but this is more of a 4.4 than a true 5 star. For me Zuma had a pleasant ambiance, lots of beautiful people, great outdoor seating to watch the yachts go by. So if that's what you are looking for, this is a good place to stop in. Also I give them points for not rushing you even though in their policy there is a seating time limit. We ended up just ordering the premium omakase, and that was quite a bit of food. I am glad I didn't order extras like I usually like to do at an Omakase. While the food in general is good and enjoyable, there was nothing very memorable, other than their Lava cake. That was to die for! And I skips dessert 99% of the time. Service was good but not stellar, could be because they had wait staff in training (during table service, our server didn't really know how to properly shave a truffle and another staff had to take over. Our courses are mumbled, doesn't sound like our server was confident about what the food is)

The Thai tea latte was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced with that classic bold tea flavor and subtle sweetness. The Butterfly Lychee was refreshing, light, and visually stunning, with a delicate floral note and fruity lychee flavor that made it feel perfect for Miami's warm weather. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff were happy to answer questions about the drink menu. The vibe is modern, stylish, and relaxing, with a beautiful interior that makes it a great place to catch up with friends, work remotely, or simply enjoy a drink. The space feels thoughtfully designed and inviting. Overall, a lovely café experience with well-crafted drinks and a great atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to try more of their specialty beverages.

The sashimi and seafood were incredibly fresh, which is always a must for us, and Novikov did not disappoint. The dim sum selection was outstanding--each dish was crafted with care and packed with flavor. And the desserts? Easily some of the best we've had compared to other premium buffets--beautifully presented and delicious. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The hovering over people in this tiny, little whole in the wall restaurant felt overwhelming. I started to lose my patience being that there is so much staff standing around and found myself several times having to pour my own wine bottle. 2nd, I told them it was my son's birthday and nobody went out of their way to make his birthday special!
