We hired Shiki for our wedding reception last September and from start to finish they were absolutely spectacular to work with. I actually found Shiki through a random ad on instagram (the internet knows me too well) and from the very beginning they stood out from the crowd. Their email correspondence was prompt and personal, without the gimmicks of overpriced wedding package deals that other caterers were trying to push on me. And the food! The food was wonderfully tasty and so gorgeously presented. I planned the reception without a decorator or planner so was worried about our venue looking emtpy/not decorated enough, but Shiki saved the day! The food itself and the plating was so pretty, it really added beauty to the party. Our guests loved the food, and even though we had ordered additional portions, there was nothing left at the end of the night. For the quality of the food, the pricing was also very reasonable. So reasonable that we wondered how it all made sense. We are definitely hiring Shiki again for our next event, whenever and whatever it may be.

At the end of our ropes, we went in to Darbar for a tasting service and immediately the experience was different. Mike the Owner was kind and attentive, asking us questions about our event, and making sure that we were having a good time during the tasting. The food was all delicious. This was the first easy decision we'd had regarding choosing a vendor for our wedding and we immediately decided that we would have Darbar cater our wedding. Now, one might think that the service we received that night was a one-off experience to get us in the door. It was anything but because all through the process of planning and ultimately executing our event, Mike was extremely accommodating and worked hard to make sure we, and most importantly, our guests were going to be happy.
