We had a load of fun. The chef was great, the dinner delectable, and the couple we were paired with delightful. All of the hard work, the prep, was ready for us when we started, and of course we had no clean-up The mushroom duxelles is a French mushroom mixture made by finely chopping mushrooms, shallots, and herbs, then sautéing them in butter until the moisture has evaporated and the mixture forms a paste. The paste is then spread on the puff pastry that is then wrapped around the beef. Each cooking table (station) was occupied with two couples assigned per station. This arrangement is perfect for friends that want to enjoy the experience together. On the down side there is no seating, so be prepared to stand for two hours while you are cooking and enjoying the fruits of your labor, eating at the cooking station where you prepared the meal.
