Just wanted to say that Omar, the owner of OMAR'S AUTO CLINIC, is the last of the Mohicans. I was introduced to him by one of WNYs finest officer Sanchez. I owned a 2011 Chevy Traverse, that I loved so much and I would pay anything to repair it. After speaking to numerous mechanics, from private to dealerships, I felt I was getting ripped off. Omar who was recommended to me took a look at the truck and told me what had to be done. The issue was the transmission, it was slipping, after receiving quotes from $3000 to $5700. His quote was much lower than the even the $3000 quote. He repaired it. I did get another 7 months out of it, but then I noticed that the engine light was on. I took it to the local Auto Zone to get a report, and it was the timing chain. I brought it back to Omar and he basically said " I wish I could fix it, but I can't". He did explain and I understood, It's a job that can only be done by the dealership and was extremely expensive with no guarantee. Bottom line is this, the truck had 156,000 miles on it, so I had to put it to rest. Omar was my advisor in buying a car and I considered all the advice he gave me in buying the another vehicle. I recently had an unexpected experience at my auto dealership in West New York where I have been a customer for over 40 years. I went in for an oil change and asked that an unusual sound be checked out as I was preparing to leave for an out of state road trip. I was told that I needed to replace parts totaling $2200. It was my son who insisted that I get a second opinion and he recommended Omars Auto Clinic because of their outstanding reviews. There, I found out that I did need to replace my front brakes and an air filter, but not the other parts the dealership had insisted I needed because of the threat of an imminent breakdown. To say the least, I was appalled that my 'trusty' dealership had betrayed my confidence and trust. Omar and Team are the best in the Hudson county area , I requested and went to their shop for a tune up for my car and the four wheels balancing And to be honest with you my car came out as brand new inside out I felt instantly the balance in my car and before the tune up there were some noises and weakness to the car and now all the noises are gone and I can feel the car is running pretty smooth ,I'm so grateful that the universe and god put me in Omar's mechanics shop and the pricing was super comfortable for my pocket I'm sure will be for you too for all the updates and renewal that it needed to be done. Omar and his team are truly the most professional auto service center I have ever used. I had a flashing "check engine" light and I thought the worst but then I remembered Omar. Took the car to him and he looked at the car immediately and diagnosed it after doing several tests. He was so concerned that I received excellent service that he texted pictures of the computer readouts , pictures of the bad parts, and pictures of the new parts after being installed on my car. I could not ask for a better experience with an auto mechanic. I have never had an auto mechanic keep me so informed with progress of my auto repair and address all of my concerns. I have grown accustomed to having to call repeatedly to get a status of my car service at the dealer or neighborhood mechanic. My experience with Omar was very different. For years I have been used to mechanics taking advantage of me (overcharging, telling me my vehicle needs work done when it actually doesn't) due to my overall lack of knowledge about cars. Omar was the opposite. He worked with me help source parts for repair and kept me fully informed during the entire repair process. He is very accommodating in price and very forthcoming with information. (My car needed several repairs, and he brought my car back to above driving standards-my car is over 10 years old). I was in Boonton, NJ when Omar Rodriguez, owner of Omar Auto Clinic, came by and asked if he could be of assistance because I had a flat tire. I told him I would call for help with Triple AAA but he offered to do it. He got out of his vehicle and changed my tire for NOTHING. He did it out of the goodness of his heart because he observed that I was an older person with some problems walking (I have a bad back). I never met him before but if I ever need work done on my vehicle I will drive to Guttenberg and take it to him because of his unselfishness in helping a stranger in need. This is a rare trait. Of I could give this shop no stars I would! This guy is a scam artist, gurantees you one price then raises it. Took my van to him twice completely overpriced and the work that he did with that parts he put in didn't even last a year. When I ask him why is he so expensive he pulls out these print at home certificates and says I'm the best in the game! What a joke the best in the game are honest conduct business with integrity and put the best parts in vehicles, And educate their clients! Brought my SUV to Omar's for new brakes last Wednesday. Omar was very professional and sent me text updates throughout the hours my vehicle was there, including photos. He gave me a very accurate estimate before starting the work and his price was excellent. He went above and beyond by fixing some other issues such as patching the hole left by a nail in my tire, topping off the coolant fluid, and changing both of my key batteries.
