The technician showed up, completed the job in about 15 minutes, and then tried to charge me $150--well above the typical market rate of $80-$100 for this type of work. Less than two weeks later, the switch came loose again. I called the company back, and to their credit, they agreed to send someone out free of charge. Unfortunately, the second visit was even worse. The technician was rude and dismissive. He reattached the cable but left the switch dangling from the wall. When I pointed out that this was likely the reason it keeps coming loose, he snapped back with, "You literally called me out here for a missing screw." No--if he had secured it properly the first time, I wouldn't have needed a second visit. Any competent technician would've fixed this without being told. Bottom line: they overcharge, don't stand by their work, and treat customers with disrespect. Avoid this company.

I had 30 minutes for the brownies to finish, which I though was good time to do the walk and return just before the brownies were done. We left out of the house, and without thought, I locked the knob lock and quickly shut the door behind me. With no keys. Luckily, I had my phone, did a quick search for a "locksmith near me" and found Jet Locksmith. It took a tech (Gary?) about 20 minutes to get to me on that rainy night. The day of service the technician arrived to fix the door. Once he gave me the price ($380) and it seemed very high and unreasonable but from a security standpoint, my parents were concerned about my safety so they said I didn't really have another choice. As the technician was doing the work, he left saw dust and wood all over my floor and didn't clean up (claimed he didn't have a broom or mini vacuum). Additionally he ascetically altered the lock area that the lock goes into and left gapping holes in my dry wall and wood that I am left to repair. lastly, the lock was left sticking and without a smooth open and close, but it did lock. he quickly gave me the keys and left. Upon showing pictures to my family, they were quickly alerted that I had been taken advantage of given the fact that my door and wall frame were damage, and lock hiccuping. Additionally the lock was priced at approx $75 and even with a hour of labor at $100 (he was there for 42 mins and it'can be proven on my camera). He lied and said his rate was $195/hour. At that rate, my door should not have looked the way it did, and the lock mechanism is completely altered, which still creates a security issue. Family attempted to intervene only to receive a $60 refund. Given the poor quality of the work, and lack of integrity in pricing for the service, I want my money back. I also contacted another lock smith who verified pricing for the work I had done at $194 plus tax. Jets locksmith should come and inspect the work themselves, then tell me it was worth what was paid. As a new homeowner, you always hope you can trust the integrity of a company you call in an emergency and, Jet locksmiths failed me. The pictures don't even truly show how terribly I was treated and taken advantage of! Can someone help me to rectify this???

It would be $20 to diagnose the problem and then we'd go from there. At 2 o'clock I called the main number because nobody had arrived at my house. They said they would call me back. A short time later the technician called me and said he'd be here in an hour. About an hour and 20 minutes later he showed up. I explained that I thought it was the gear. He went up and confirmed it was the gear. I inquired about replacing it. He said that it couldn't be replaced because it was part of the motor and proceeded to try and sell me a $1200 garage door opener. I asked how much it would cost me to move one of the openers from another door because I have multiple garage door openers. He told me between five and six hundred dollars and then said something along the lines of he could move that garage door opener and then that one break. Then proceeded to try to sell me a $1200 garage door opener again. I told him I'd have to talk it over with my wife and let them know. I said how much for this visit. He told me $40 that's after I was originally told $20. About 10 minutes after he left he called me back and said he spoke to his company and he could do the garage door opener for around $750. I said something along the lines of I'll have to let you know and hung up. I then took it upon myself to evaluate the garage door opener. I took it down removed a little plastic part and wouldn't you know the gear came off in my hand. 10 minutes on Amazon I had a new gear ordered. It's an $11 part. Tonight my garage door is back in service. It's a scummy thing to try and get a customer to spend $1200 when all I needed was and $11 Sprocket.
