This place is awesome! Small, friendly and casual place - and the food is delicious! Burgers are served hot and perfectly cooked with a great variety of styles. I had the Pendleton whiskey burger and I'd get it again without hesitation, except that if I go back I want to try other burgers! Oh yes, and don't pass up on the fried cheese curds; you won't regret getting them. They have a wide variety of ice cold beer and as if that weren't enough, the wait staff was friendly and helpful. The servers are friendly and service is decent. The menu mostly has burgers, chicken sandwiches, sliders, and dogs. I ordered the burns twice burger for $16.49. The burgers come with a side, which includes french fries, sweet potato fries, soup, or salads; they can substitute burgers with a beyond burger patty if you don't eat meat and are vegetarian. We were passing by on our way to Washington and after reading the reviews decided to try this place for lunch. I especially got a kick out of the owners honest responses to so called "poor" reviews. First of all Claire was amazing. Very prompt and very friendly. Even though she was very busy she did a great job serving our table. The burgers were really good and the fried pickles were amazing. At the end I could no longer wait, I asked the waitress how much longer she apologized she stated our order was next, it was a busy night and there was only one cook and they also had phone call orders. I understood but I was starving and I told her I was going to leave. I was a little disappointed I was still being charged for the 1 soda. Not that I mind paying but after being told over 3 times that our food was coming up, literally lied to. I expected more honesty from OMG I've gone to the one in Pendleton and the service there is phenomenal and I know for a fact this would have never happened. Pure disappointment. We had a double bacon king burger and a Lego my eggo burger with side salads. Let's start with the salad: very basic salad but not unsatisfying. They did serve our ranch to us in a self service bottle which we both liked as it allowed us to control portioning. My husband who is hard to impress when it comes to burgers loved the double bacon king. He found it to be delicious, juicy, large, well balanced with. Good depth of flavor. My Lego my Eggo was a fun play on a burger which included an egg salad alongside bacon and cheese. It was fun but very messy. I would have preferred it served on a plate instead of a tray with butcher paper as that made it a bit harder to eat. The egg salad desperately needed some acid but once I added mustard and a hint of salt it was well balanced and satisfyingz I would suggest getting it with pickles to bring that acid to the party. First experience was not ideal. My wife and I were leaving the Pheasant after throwing darts and were overwhelmed by the glorious smell of their food. We decided to give them another shot. The atmosphere is clean and spacious; fun to think your eating in one of Hermiston's original buildings from a century ago. The food selection is quite diverse with a lot to choose from.
