So fun to finally try this place. My Mom used to make crepes for special occasions, and these brought me back to the simple flavor of lemon and powdered sugar. You can tell this man has a passion for what he does. We approached the kiosk to look at the menu, and right away he greeted us and asked if he could help us with any questions or picking a flavor. We chose our flavor and he got on to cooking. He was very clean, very nice, and very approachable! Like I said, you can tell there's a passion here. I asked if he owned this place since we could tell he loves doing what he does. He said he owns it and recently started catering, including catering at Costco! WATCH WHAT YOU ARE GETTING CHARGED FOR!!! Went there with the family a couple of days ago while we did some shopping at Plaza Bonita. We [were] somewhat regulars to these crepes, they are actually good, and the kids ask us to take them there often. It wasn't until the guy (who we later found out is the owner) tried to "nickle and dime" us with about $7 worth of "add-ons". As we got there to order, the guy offered a small sample of a "dulce de leche" crepe to see if we liked it. One of the kids did, and ordered it, along with our two usual nutella-banana crepes. The guy asked if we wanted strawberries (I expected this to be extra), so we only got them for one of the nutella-banana crepes. He then asked my kid, "would you like whipped cream?". Seeing as the crepes are already sweet enough, we said, "just a little". I expected the total to be no more than $22 for the 3 crepes judging by the prices we usually pay, so I left $30 with the family while I went to get smoothies from Surf City on the lower level. I got back, family already eating the crepes, each with three little dabs of whipped cream, in the table area. To my surprise, I only got $3 change out of the $30, which seemed low. I asked my family if the guy gave them a receipt and they said, no, so I got up and went back to the crepe stand. I said, "excuse me" while he was preparing a crepe, and as he responded I told him I thought he overcharged me. He stopped making the crepe and immediately asked why I thought so. I told him we only ordered 3 crepes, and thought he might have charged us for 4 instead. He's like, "no you did get charged for the 3 crepes, but you had add-ons". I responded, "which add-ons?" He proceded to show me his point-of-sale tablet with our order. It showed $1 x 3 crepes for "whipped cream" $2 for "condensed milk", among other things. At this point, I'm like, "Hey, you never mentioned that those were add-ons and cost extra. Had you told me upfront that you charge extra for those, I would have said no immediately. I would like a refund for those extra items you overcharged us for." The guy points to a sign deep inside the stand with small font saying that add-ons are extra. At this point I feel the guy doesn't want to offer the refund, and instead starts complaining that I'm accusing him of stealing from me, and that he is going to lose the customer that was waiting to order and that I "cut infront of to talk to him" (keep in mind I said "excuse me" to him before he acknowlwdged me with a response to start talking), and that he's going to have to give "the crepes for free" to that customer because of the wait and inconvenience I came to cause! I'm like, WTF here! This guy is willing to give a non-paying customer free crepes for the "inconvenience", but he's not willing to refund a couple of dollars to me for my inconvenience and his lack of clarity when offering all these things to me? As a side comment, I told him that most establishments give you the meal for free if you don't get a receipt (which we never got), but the guy is the owner so... A security guard walked by and pulled him in myself to the conversation. He agreed with me, but there was really nothing he could do. Then, another man approached the crepe guy and said, "Hey, I think you overcharged my daughter". I just said to the security guard, "See! I'm not the only one." Long story short, I told the crepe guy he needs to be honest with his clientele, and that not refunding a couple of bucks could cost him a regular customer not returning anymore, at least. I said I was not looking for free food, so I told him he must need those extra dollars really bad, and that he could keep them. I walked away, never to spend a single penny there. I explained to the kids why we were not returning to that place anymore. Go there at your own risk. ***UPDATE: Yes, that fast, the owner sent me a PRIVATE message instead of posting a public response. Here it is, un-altered: "Sir, thank you for your review. Once again you are welcome to leave a 0 star review aslong as you tell 100% the truth just like the customer behind you interupted and told you that you were in the wrong and defended me. And like you mentioned that you choose not to spend here. We also reserve the right to refuse service. There are other crepe places around so you won't be without your cravings for crepes, just not for us. Unfortuneately, this is where our paths never cross again. Best of luck to you." read more

The girl working there got annoyed that I noticed she got hair in my friends crepe and had to make it over again and didn't even apologize for getting hair in the food. It was pretty unsanitary because She wasn't wearing a hair net and was only wearing one glove.
