Today for lunch i was feeling something sweet, so I tried JCrepes & Cafe and grabbed the limited time Creme Brulee Cone, and yeah this thing was good lol. The crepe was soft, the filling was creamy, and that brulee top gave it a nice little crunch. Definitely one of those desserts that looks good for the camera but actually tastes good too. Oh and there is a huge slice of cheesecake inside of the crepe cone too. Overall, really enjoyed it and I'd definitely come back to try some of the other crepes. The front desk worker was great too, everything came out at a timely manner, and the vibe of a place was chill. Oh yeah and the Ube Milk Tea was pretty good as well. read more

Used to come here a lot (and even more so while it was still Marion), but every single time we order here, something is either wrong, or missing from the order. Well, today was not the day to get it right either. First we waited 15 minutes for someone to even take our order, and since this was at the start of a different shift (we were the last order before 4), I guess they didn't even print our receipt and 3 people got their orders before I even realized what was going on. Mind you, this is now half an hour in front of the register. I ordered 2 Triple C's, with me asking for one to be adjusted to add Nutella and take out whipped cream. I got a hot cake with Nutella and caramel syrup, without ice cream, custard, Oreos or ice cream. I would suggest training these kids to properly handle food, but it would be a moot point past their blank stare, considering their brains short-circuit the moment they need to follow a different set of directions. At this point, I'm sick of it and I just want to leave and not cause a scene over an order of stupid crepes, which is btw, almost $40 (!!) with tip and tax. Totally unacceptable. read more

Only 4 stars because I also wanted a coffee with it but I'm guessing they didn't have any (sold out), so I asked for matcha instead but same answer ^^ it's okay! After dinner, my daughter and I shared a Strawberry Banana Cream Crepe in a paper cone. For $11.50, it was a giant sized dessert that we struggled to finish. We were a few bites away from devouring the whole thing, but couldn't do it. It was too big! It was delicious and perhaps filled with a bit too much cream. I would've preferred it with half the amount of cream. If you like cream, then you will love it. It's lightly whipped so it's not too heavy, but after so much of it, it started to taste very heavy to us. The texture of the crepe was light, not too dense. Warning - do not try to eat one of J Crepes' scrumptious, decadent creme brulee crepes on your own. The richness and wonderfully sweet flavors are OP, and even a dessert aficionada such as myself was KOd after eating about 15% (on an empty stomach). The top was crunchy and well bruleed while the interior bursted with strawberry, cream, and cheesecake layers. Wish I'd brought a friend or two to share, because this is a worthy treat indeed. The store is inside the Mitsuwa market so it was super convenient after grocery shopping. The other side is a food court like udon noddles too. We also did not expect the crepes to be HUGE. When we received it, it was so heavy. It was so much packed in! It was waaaay more than I could handle. I wasn't able to finish it because it was so much. It tasted great though, it was just too much at the end. The crembrule had a huge piece of cheesecake in it and the layer on top was perfectly crunchy. Matcha was great, just a lot. Its a small crepe place. We got the creme brulee. For 14.65$ this thing was huge! I think it would take 4 people to eat it! My only problem with this crepe is that it had very little creme brulee. It had mainly cheesecake and strawberries. It was delicious though, I just wanted more creme brulee. The vanilla ice cream is pretty good. Id come again with my boys bc this definitely is enough for them! Lol It took a while for my order, over 15m. Perhaps it was busy? But it didn't look busy at all. The girl worker was really nice. She did her best for one person. What i dont like is how all establishments dont give discounts to law enforcement but only military and students. This is currently my favorite dessert place . Their crepes are freshly made right in front of you and you can 100% taste the quality of each ingredient they add as toppings for the crepes. The portion is generous and well worth the price . They also have happy hour 15% off crepes 2-4p during the weekday. We visited some weeks ago and loved their whipped cream crepe as well as their famous Crème brûlée cheesecake crepe. The crème brûlée custard was sooooo good and velvety. The burnt sugar on top made it even more epic . The large piece of cheesecake was a bit much for us but I'm sure a plus for others. I re visited shortly after 2p today to try their HH . Kate was the only one working and she was the sweetest girl ever . Super helpful and we went through some crepes i had questions about . I settled for just a plain crepe with double whipped cream (which they make using their own recipe ) . It was fun watching her make it . The crepe was stuffed with whipped cream ! And she also added some next to it inside the box. The packaging was well done . I asked if the crepe would still taste ok in fridge and she said she preferred it cold as the crepe (I think) tastes a little more like cake (made me totally think of Lady M at Utc but wayyy less the price and better service/crepes here ). I don't doubt that all of their crepes are delicious (because they definitely look like it), but I came here to try the viral crepe brûlée (with cheesecake inside) and WOW I understand why it's viral. If you could put heaven in a crepe, it would be the crepe brûlée. Every bite has cheesecake, crepe, custard, whipped cream, strawberries. The cream brûlée and caramel drizzle on top do mix in with half the bites, but goes quickly if you eat it all first. I would say this crepe is huge, so I would suggest sharing it, but if you are in the mood for the sweetest treat, then definitely get one not to share! They may have a line, but it usually goes quickly. The staff members are really welcoming and kind and honestly look like they are having fun making crepes! I would double check their hours, as I have gone before a few times after dinner, and they were already closed. As I waited I saw the young guys that were preparing the crepes. The guys were not wearing mask as the woman were. I was a little grossed out to see the guys talking and blowing their breath into the crepes as they prepared them. I wish they were wearing mask just as the ladies in the registers were. Wow these were fatter than we expected. A little under $10 each, so worth!!! Strawberry Nutella Cream Crepe (top one in pic) was so fluffy and yummy. Literally felt like cutting and biting into a cloud. Reminded me of strawberries and cream + nutella. Sweet treat craving satisfied. Hot Banana Chocolate Crepe (bottom) omg this was warm and ends were crispy. I just think the fact this was served warm made the banana choc taste even better. We had Red bean cream with vanilla ice cream- I have no issue with the crepe itself but the cream is what's disappointing to me. I feel like I am eating a soft butter. For whatever reason the consistency of this whipped cream is unbalanced. No sweetness on the actual whipped just plain butter. Crepes are good when made right. It's a shame this has not been our experience. Doesn't matter who is working, they can't seem to get the order right. Been disappointed when ordering crepes to go and get home only to see that the order is wrong. Not sure what is difficult about their most popular item of strawberry/banana crepe. There is only so much checking you can do at the shop unless you start eating it. Watching the guy make the order seeks to be ok but turn your attn away for a couple mins and you risk getting an incorrect order. Over-ripened bananas that leave you with a stomachache, no bananas at all, or no strawberries, chocolate substituted for Nutella, getting overcharged randomly--these are all things that should be communicated or paid careful attention to prevent, all for the simple notion of decent customer service. Sadly, it just doesn't happen and it's become annoying, a waste of my time and money. Very disappointing to experience this over and over for a very expensive product. I absolutely loved this little dessert shop. I have never had crepes with a softer breading (they're typically crispy/hard), so this was a whole new experience for me. Each bite was just perfect, and the crepe paired perfectly with the vanilla ice cream as well. The strawberries were a bit sour, but this was not a huge deal as you can just pair it with the sweet cream, ice cream, and chocolate sauce. Regarding my overall experience... The place, itself, is not an actual crepe shop. You more so order from the counter and take it elsewhere. Thankfully, because it is located inside of a Mitsuwa, there is shared seating for the restaurants, which you can just utilize. I looooove these crepes!! I first sampled them at a Yelp event and was hooked. This was my first time visiting the storefront, and we came pretty late (about half an hour before closing) and there was about a 10-15ish minutes wait since there were a couple orders ahead of me. J Crepes is located inside Mitsuwa so while I waited I wandered the aisles of the grocery store. I ordered the Creme Brulee Crepe which comes with: Custard, Whipped Cream, Strawberries, Cheesecake, Caramel Syrup, and the Creme Brulee top. I opted out of the caramel syrup since I'm not a fan, but I should have also opted out of the cheesecake. I assumed it would have been small cheesecake bites but it was literally an entire slice of cheesecake wrapped inside which ended up being too heavy and too much for my preference. I'm so glad I shared this with friends because I definitely would not have been able to finish it myself. It's definitely a huge crepe!! The employees also let me know that they could add the creme brulee top to any of their other crepes, so I think I'll go with that option next time. Each crepe is then decked out in fruit, Nutella, and crème. It takes a little bit of time, you'll have to be patient. Some of the more ambitious will get there order in as they enter the store, then pick up on their way out. Ambiance? This is a side shop, there really isn't much to this place. The place has no place to sit and eat sit take that into account when going. It's also crowded but not overly loud. The service was friendly and quick.
