As someone who has clinical medical experience this place is the definition on a horror story. For starters I have had Omni for three years and loved them till now. Office staff has demonstrated repeatedly how unprofessional and unapproachable they are... It is very clear that communication between staff and providers is limited. Every provider is dismissive and doesn't listen to patients. Applying to all services provided here dental medical and ob! No way of contacting with your direct providers if any questions or concerns. They do not get back to you in timely manner. I have been waiting for Omni health in Tehachapi to correct and order for my Ultrasound at Adventist health imaging. It has been almost a month now and when I call them, I get forward to their referral dept somewhere oversee and tell me the same thing they will get back to me in 72 hours and they do not. I must call them again and they repeat the same thing that they will call you in 72 hours. This is the worst medical provider in Kern County. I recommend you do your homework to find a Health Provider that cares about their patients. I am in process to find a quality health care provider that cares. Fist I will admit they are a little slow about getting to you. My family and I are happy with our experiencies with Omni. We generally spend about an hour waiting, seeing the doctor and then on our way. No complaints there at all. We do appreciate the way they get back to you on results. The scheduler did not tell me the following: Mind you, I waited 5 weeks for this appointment to establish care. I had an appointment at 2:45. The doctor comes in at 4 p.m. and tells me they incorporate walk-ins, so that bumps patients with appointments down. I spent over 2 hours before I had to leave. It was extremely hot in there. No ac. There is no water for patients while they expect you to be there for over 2 hours for an appointment. Unless you have hours to spend waiting, save yourself the hassle. I must add that when we first walked in, the girl on the right had a rude attitude before I even said a word and shouted, JUST A MIN. The staff is not friendly. This office is the most disorganized provider I have ever been to. They have a call center that schedules for all of the offices under the Omni network in Kern County, because of this there is a lack of communication between schedulers and the actual office. I had an appointment recently, which was confirmed by their system and I received all of the confirmation texts from them. I arrived for my appointment and I was surprised to find out that they simply did not have me on their roster for the day at all, and would have to consider me a walk in, even though I was supposed to be scheduled. The wait times are horrible even if they remember to honor your appointment. Expect to wait a minimum of 40 minutes after your scheduled time to get into an exam room. Then when you actually get to see a provider, it feels very rushed and not thorough at all. The waiting rooms used to be separated for pediatric and obgyn care, but not anymore for some reason. Even though they have a high volume of patients it seems like their corporate won't give them enough staffing to accommodate for it. I am always so nervous to have my newborn baby in the same lobby as adults with possibly contagious coughs and sneezing for an hour wait. read more

I gave the office a (2) because it was clean...I waited 2 months for a dental appointment...called that morning to confirm my appointment...drove half an hour to be told by a not rude but very uncaring person named Norma that they did not take my Insurance. I thought after waiting 2 Months all this should have been verified. Mr husband was upset because she did not give us the option to pay cash...she just dismissed us.....I call my HR who sent me my Insurance information via email and guess what...I have PPO and can go to a dentist of my choice...I left the parking lot thinking this office need to learn how to treat people! read more

Highly disappointed in the doctor that is here. My wife was running late to her appointment, however when she called she was informed that she was okay because she had a 15 minute grace period. She arrived within that grace period and waited. She was informed 10 minutes after waiting that the doctor said he would not see her. What makes this even worse for her was that it was an appointment which we would learn the gender of our future baby. She spent the next half hour crying in our car and apologizing to me. read more

They took a blood and urine samples, and we came back a week later for our next appointment, and they somehow misplaced the blood samples. This office is the worst and most inconsiderate about issues and appointment dates. They text you multiple times to confirm an appointment then cancel the morning of your appointment. When trying to reschedule after waiting weeks before the first appointment they want to reschedule you a month out in disregard of the medical reason you scheduled and waited to begin with or making arrangements with your employer to take time off of work to even get to the scheduled appointment. I wish I could give this place a ZERO star review. This facility suppresses reproductive health care. If you have a uterus, AVOID this place. I had an appointment to get a recurring birth control shot. The morning of my appointment they called and told me they didn't have the shot and that it was ordered and will be there the next day. I made a new appointment for the day after tomorrow just to be sure. I go in again for my appointment, wait 45 minutes for them to tell me that they still don't have the shot but it will DEFINITELY be in by late afternoon and to come back at 3pm. I come back at 3pm, still no shot. Make ANOTHER appointment for the next week and even had someone call me to confirm that they had the shot. Fast forward to that new appointment, get the call and they finally have the shot but I can't come in because I "don't have an appointment". Somehow my appointment was voided and now the earliest they can see me is the NEXT day. Now its been two weeks since I've first made my appointment, I have missed my window to get the shot without having to jump through more hoops. I called to see if there was ANY way I could possibly get it on the last day of my window.....wait 1 hour and 20 minutes on hold for them to tell me "No, we're about to close (in an hour) you can't come in now"...for a ~3 minute nurses visit. Fast forward again to today's appointment, and now for some reason I have to fill out ALL of the paperwork I've already filled out for patient info and insurance forms. The lady behind the counter informs me that they don't have my information and I need to re-do all my paperwork and call my insurance to be seen. I said I wouldn't be doing that because 1) I've already done it and 2) I was literally just there a few days ago and didn't have this problem. She laughed. I left. Laziest OBGYN ever. Mureugh, Murrow, or whatever. Didn't see me because I was 15 min late, and they literally have a rule that you can be seen up to 15 min late. And why was I late? Because I'm currently homeless and living out of a motel. I found bedbugs in my room this morning, so I spent the entire day having to deal with them, and because I don't have a car (because I'm homeless), I had to run to my doctors appointment, and was 15 minutes late. I went to the main office door, because no one told me I was supposed to go to a different door, waited in line, was directed to the right door, then got there at 3:18pm, and was told that I couldn't be seen. I showed up within the required time, called ahead to say I would be late, and have a good enough story, I believe, but the doctor didn't care and stuck with he couldn't see me. His reason? He was too booked and my appt would take longer than the usual quick gyno visit? But I'm not sure how that point stands, when I was only 3 minutes later than what they accept. Wouldn't I still be in the appt with you, if it takes longer than the usual 15-20 minute visit? And again, I was technically only 3 minutes past the allowed time. And only 2 people were in the office before me, and they got seen right away. No one else showed up after, so that's BS. This is the last chance I could have this appointment, and I missed it because of a completely shitty situation that was not up to me, and could not be put off. Shame on this doctor and the office. This was a very important appointment that I have waited weeks for. Honestly, I want to say: Fuck you, guys. The so-called "Customer service reps" will hang up on you. They obviously scrape the bottom of the barrel to employ these people which isn't that hard if you consider the surrounding areas. If you have good insurance go somewhere else. The rep I was speaking to was so rude and wouldn't listen to what I had to say and had the audacity to say I was the one being rude and she would disconnect the call. I asked if they were recorded and she said they were but they're allowed to hang up on people who are rude. Clearly the company backs their bad behavior or the lady was just a bad Apple. The actual woman dentist here is great! I absolutely love her, and love her assistants and everything, they do amazing dental work, and are VERY friendly. The reason i'd giving it a lower rating is because of the woman working at the front desk. Out of all the places i've ever been, she's seriously the worst. First of all, i live about 20-25 minutes from here, but if i want to do something simple like as a question or make an appointment, i have to DRIVE ALL THE WAY HERE BECAUSE SHE NEVER ANSWERS THE PHONE. She will never answer my calls to make an appointment. Ever. Which is weird because every time i'm there, she happens to be on the phone, and seems to drag out her time talking, to avoid helping me. Run away! Don't even think about scheduling an appointment because it is a huge waste of your time. Broke a tooth a week ago. Called immediately to schedule an appointment. Was forced to wait a week to do a tele-appointment. Was told I would be called in 15-30 minutes after tele-appointment. to schedule an appointment for treatment. 5 hours later hadn't heard anything so I called them back. Was told they didn't call me because they didn't have any appointments until December in Tehachapi.... Had I not called I would have been waiting until God knows when. It's now 4:00pm on a Friday and I am left to try and track down a different dentist in my insurance network to get an appointment to fix a broken tooth. If you have an option to go anywhere but this clinic, take it. As a Medi-Cal patient, I don't have that option. Last week I had an appointment scheduled for a pap smear/breast exam. First, they kept me waiting for nearly an hour past my actual appointment. I sat there watching people who'd arrived after me taken in first. They obviously had forgotten all about me, and it's only because I got up and bugged them about it that they got me in at all. Second, the exam room was FREEZING. The nurse practitioner conducting the exam even mentioned it when she came in. But no one offered to turn up the temperature, even though I had to strip completely naked for my exam. Now, I made it clear to NP that I was post-menopause before she even started the exam, and stressed that she'd need to use PLENTY of lube. Instead, she ignored me and tried to shove the regular-size speculum up me with very little lubrication. It hurt like hell. Finally, the NP had to use the smaller speculum, but she still didn't use enough lube. I found blood in my underwear when I got home. Then, she moved on to the breast exam - except she barely even touched my breasts then said, "I'll get you an order for a mammogram," before fleeing the room as fast as she could. I've had many pap smears in my life (I will be turning sixty next year), but never one as unnecessarily painful as this one. I am seriously considering filing assault charges against this nurse - she completely ignored everything I told her and rushed through the exam so fast that she hurt me badly. I have never been more disappointed in a Health Care facility as I am with Omni Health Care. If you think I'm kidding, try them yourself! I changed to Omni because my current doctor is retiring soon. The new doctor I was assigned was in the Tehachapi office on Mill Street. That is a 30-mile drive for me. That in itself is not the problem. The doctor at that location was very good and I would very much like to keep her as my PCP. So this review is not about the assigned doctor but about the Omni Call Center and lack of communication. There is only one phone number to call to reach Omni. You can not, I repeat, you can not contact the doctor's office by phone. They will not allow you to do that. When you call the Call Center, you are on hold for more than 20-30 minutes. If you ask to speak directly to the doctor's office, they will not allow it. But if you insist, they will transfer you to another phone number which is a recording and only takes a message that says someone will call you back. But they never do. The system of using a Call Center is the biggest bottleneck in their whole system. One phone number for the entire Omni Health care system. At one point I tried to make an appointment for a lab test. They asked me if I needed any special care when I arrived for the test. I told them that I am in a wheelchair and would need help getting into the second-floor office. The person said that that could be arranged and all I had to do was go into the office and ask someone to help me. There was no phone number to call when I arrived to get help. So this idiot actually said that I was supposed to go into the office and get someone to help. Let that statement sink in for a minute! Again, I want to say that the doctor that saw me on the first visit was very good. I have no complaints about her. I am currently being treated for a foot ailment. When I am finally cured, I will be changing doctors again. For such a large facility, I think they are the most unorganized facility I have ever had to deal with. Trust me! Go somewhere else! They also have an online Patient Portal that is almost useless. I tried to schedule an appointment on the Patient Portal 5 days ago. I selected an appointment for the next available time slot. I received a return message saying that the request had been submitted and I would receive a confirmation email when approved. I am still waiting 5 days later for that confirmation. Omni might be okay to work with if only you could call the doctor's office directly. But that's impossible! read more

In my case I was able to be seen back in March, prescribed an antibiotic and scheduled to have two teeth removed. As predicted the infection returns and spreads from my ear to my throat. Tehachapi Emergency Room Doctor has more than doubled my antibiotics and i sit home waiting for any Dentist accepting Medi-Cal to return for essential services. read more

It is so ridiculous how long the receptionists take to check patients in. I always wait in line to check in for more than 10 min being the first or second in line. I've worked at a dental office as a receptionist & I know it does not take long to check patients in. Even if they are on the phone with a patient they should put them on hold and prioritize checking patients in so that DR's don't get behind because they lack to check patients in on time. I don't even want to come back to this clinic. I'd rather drive 30-40 min to a clinic that won't take so long for everything. read more

Dr. Wade Hayashi is a wonderful dentist. We've been here a few times and the dentist is wonderful. He's good with kids, even my young child who is afraid of dentists loves him. He's gentle and just a nice person. What an asset to Tehachapi! read more

STOP! Go no further! CHOOSE ANOTHER PLACE! My husband and I recently moved here to Tehachapi. We needed to find ourselves new local health providers for our needs. From first glance, this place looks nice. It is close by. The office and reception areas, bathrooms, and waiting rooms were very clean, neat, and organized. The staff was adequate, and the time spent there was within a "good time frame" for the service provided. (General health check-up and some needed procedures for checking on a past injury). Dr. Alicia Schroeder was the GP assigned to me. She was nice, and SEEMED to be truly interested in my well being. She performed all the regular procedures without incident. HOWEVER, the Dr. (or staff member who does her notes??) DROPPED THE BALL BIG TIME when some VERY necessary procedures that were SUPPOSED to be ordered, (an ultrasound for FIVE (5) hernia tears previously repaired in my belly...VERY serious condition..deadly even!) BUT WERE NEVER ORDERED and some test results given. Now, over TEN (10) weeks later, I have heard ZERO from them. Yesterday, (8-8-18) I tried to call them for an update, and I was told "the phone systems were malfunctioning" and an "operator service" took a message. Of coarse, NO ONE CALLED ME BACK! So, this morning I tried again. Once answered, the phone system continue to "send you back to the beginning of the automated rotary system" not allowing you to reach the front desk, no matter which number/button you pushed, so I eventually had to connect to the "BILLING DEPT" for some assistance! RIDICULOUS! After the billing dept. transferred me to the "nurses station" and I explained the situation, the staff member (who I could not get her named because she talked so fast...like she was on SPEED!) said.."Ok, let me put you on hold, I'll be right back" and then she proceeded to dump me back into the automated rotary system! I left a really pissed off message....that was at 8:52 am...its now 10:55 am and still NO call back. Not only that, but when she looked into my file, she said that the Dr. did not make notes or mention my hernias, and that NO ultrasound for them was EVER ordered or processed, and she could not give/find my test results either! BS to the max! So..to sum it up....the place is convenient and clean, but if your expecting to receive REAL care, service, and procedures ACTUALLY done.....you better find a BETTER place! Don't expect to get a hold of this office over the phone. Their parent company nor their local Tehachapi office seem to have staff that monitor the phone lines. Recently I needed a referral from Dr Mousa and had to drive to the office to get in contact with anyone. Still I waited there for 40 minutes (with no other patients waiting, it wasn't busy) until I was able to relay information to someone. When I did have a basic cleaning/check up there 6 months ago, Dr Mousa was good, though the hygenists were openly discussing/arguing about which one of them should have to work on me. This an update from my 3-star rating two years ago. The dentist was great. He is one of the best dentist I have been to. Seems to really care, and he treats patients well. The people who assist the doctor are good. A year ago, the front desk help was awful. It is better now. Now the policy makers and administrative people seem to be a new problem. They often do not know proper procedure, and base how they do things on policies which do not actually make any sense. This caused my fiancé, who is deaf, to have treatment delayed, and has wasted my gas and time. They couldn't figure out if they always need a certified interpreter, or if I can interpret for her since I know sign language. I understand that everyone is scared of being sued now, but this is not a reason to just make up policy as you go along or to simply not have a good understanding of what the Americans with Disabilities Act really means when it come to people who have a communication deficiency. The only reason I no longer give this place 3-stars, is because I have recently switched my insurance to the VA Choice Program. I have another provider there, but cannot see her because they could not, or would not, do the paperwork to treat veterans under the Choice Program. If they cannot support us, then I feel that Veterans should not support them. I will not be back unless I have a dental emergency. read more
