We started going about a year ago when my husband found out they had Dr. pepper soft serve. He's a die hard Dr p fan, I LOVE their choco tacos however they are huge so be prepared! Last time I had to toss some of mine I just couldn't eat it all, he so good! Pro tip: Be sure to order outside, but you can eat inside if you like. It was my birthday and I decided to enjoy ice cream this year . After some research On Any Sundae became the choice and boy was it a good one. The menu has many items to offer , I went with an ice cream sandwich - snickerdoodle with cherry ice cream . My husband decided on a banana split . Well , the size of the ice cream sandwich was way beyond what I was expecting , very generous. Same for the banana split . The counter staff person was friendly and suggested flavors to go with the cookie . The ice cream is Umpqua brand which is very creamy. The space itself is fun and colorful. Used to love to go here to get a treat for the family now not so much definitely went down hill since the owner isnt around much. The place was dirty, hot, and had flys everywhere. Workers didnt take a name and didnt give us a number for our order. Went inside since it was super hot to only figure out it was just as hot. Also they were playing super inappropriate music inside the song that was playing was by ice cube good day unedited. Not exactly kid friendly... definitely wont be going back read more

My mom said this was the best milkshake she ever had!! Chocolate malt and cookie doh scoop. It was packed on a Friday afternoon, but we were served in a reasonable amount of time. Tons of kids and families, very family friendly but the doors and tables were a bit sticky, overall reasonably clean for such a busy night. Small town feel in Salem! This is a great place to bring your kids for an ice cream for a reward, or literally at any time. They specialize in Oregon Ice cream. My wife and I recently had a date night. We had dinner, then came here for dessert for the first time. It was special! We had Umpqua and Tillamook. Their cherry and strawberry is amazing! It reminds me of a classic ice cream place. The young people who worked there gave outstanding service and were friendly and informative. It has a special feel despite being in a strip mall. A friend of mine told me that I absolutely must go to On Any Sundae for their delicious ice cream, so of course I obliged. And I have to say, the ice cream is quite good! If you're in need of a comparison, it's between Salt & Straw and your local ice cream shop -- not as decadent as the former, but more homey and of better quality than the latter. They also have so many options to choose from, it's so hard to decide which flavor/s to go with! A request to the shop: Please, please consider extending summer hours to 10:00 p.m. I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to take someone to the shop, only to realize it's just past 9:00 or near it. With the lines I've seen close to closing time, it seems like you may be missing out on quite a bit of business closing that early in the summer months before the sun is even down! read more

June 2nd 3:00 pm Other than the 31 flavor ice cream shops, the donut establishments that sell ice cream and the frozen yogurt entities, On Any Sundae, in my opinion, is the only legitimate Ice Cream shop in Salem. We love this place for the menu variety, lots of parking, and the owners love for 80's nostalgia and video games... Lots of flavors to chose from for traditional ice cream scoops in a cup or cone. The Shakes and Malts, which are derived from the many ice cream flavors, maybe even more than 31, is a favorite of mine and a definite must try. I came here near closing with a friend from out of town. It didn't look like they were serving customers inside, but a menu was posted next to an order window. There were tables between the parking lot and the building. The decor had a fun and nostalgic 80s vibe. I ordered a peanut butter Choco Taco and my friend got the banana split. The service was super friendly and very quick. They asked my friend what three kinds of ice cream she wanted for her split. It's nice to have that kind of customization available. She chose chocolate, chocolate peanut butter and vanilla. They also had an impressive array of flavor options for the Choco Tacos, as well as a large selection of all kinds of frozen treats. My Choco Taco was delicious. It was made with a kind of waffle that had a nice texture and taste, similar to a waffle cone. The ice cream was great and seemed fresh. It seemed freshly assembled, which I appreciated. Very satisfying! My friend's banana split (which I sampled, of course) was awesome. The banana was ripe but not too soft, and the ice cream flavors were all delicious. It reminded me why banana splits are classic desserts! This place was affordable, friendly and very tasty. I took my boyfriend here recently (first time for both of us) for a little impromptu ice cream date. Originally we drove to the West Salem location, but the parking was scarce so we headed over to the South location. Better parking situation over there. The lady working was friendly and made the best milkshakes we've ever had. My boyfriend ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough & salted caramel mix milkshake.. it was heaven. Highly recommend trying. Went here for a fundraiser for a local nonprofit. Because of COVID-19 it is currently an order window with some tables for seating outside. I'm guessing that in non COVID times they will have people order and sit inside as well as keeping the outside tables. The service and ice cream we're both good but it didn't look like anyone was responsible for doing any kind of cleaning of the tables. Would I go back, most likely. Would they be my first choice, most likely not. read more

What a cute little place! I saw the sign for this spot and then an ad on Instagram and knew I had to try it. I was delighted to learn they serve Tillamook ice cream. Tillamook is my absolute favorite brand and so excited I can now get single scoops of it! I look forward to trying the choco tacos and Dole Whip in the future. For my first try, I got a "regular" of mudslide and of chocolate peanut butter. Naïve me thought this would be a scoop of each. Nope- two GIANT piles of ice cream! Six GIANT scoops for only $8! And a sticker. Amazing. I have an great dessert for the next few nights now. It should also be noted they have specials throughout the week! I'll be back on Tuesday for $3 choco taco. Four stars because the shop is a little run down and it's a little difficult to figure out what the board says. But still a great spot. Thank you for making an amazing custom ice cream cake for my kiddo's birthday. He wanted pb and chocolate and he got ALL the pb and chocolate. We got to pick the ice cream and the toppings. It's exactly what he wanted. Has a yummy fudgy bottom too. So good. We also often stop by with our large group of kiddos and have great customer service every time! We've been coming here for a few years now and this place rocks! I showed my husband's birthday cake we got from them it's soooo good. I've tried almost everything they have from choco tacos, to floats, banana splits, dole whip, ice cream lasagna they are amazing! The ice cream cakes have this fudgy base that I just want a little thicker because it's so good! The staff is awesome and they even do little events for the community. There was more fun than burger, onion, and cheese, and there were no other condiments. The flavor of this burger was so off putting that I couldn't even force myself to finish the last 2/3 of it. It kept grossing me out, and I threw it in the trash. My partner usually opts for the Roccstar quinoa meal. This is a huge helping of Moroccan BBQ chicken on a bed of quinoa, along with a side salad of tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese, and olives. She's never been disappointed. The service is wonderful, and she gets her food quickly, often more quickly than our boys, who go to another cart for meatballs. It's steaming hot and obviously prepared fresh to order. She devours the whole thing and often has to hold back from getting a larger size. She's also ordered online, and had it delivered, and the quality hasn't suffered a bit. The food is healthy, delicious, and run by local people. It's part of a food cart pod, smallish, but with plenty of other options available for members of a group. Seating is ample and there's even a beer truck, if that's your thing. So, there's really no reason that anyone, not just gluten- free and gluten sensitive people, should have to not check this place out.

Luckily, it came on the side. The food cart is 100% GF. I highly recommend--especially if you like heat. There were tons of flavor combos I wish I could have tried, but I am not supposed to eat spicy foods because of my acid reflux. I would definitely go back.
