If you work outside like me you have to deal with heat but at least you have fresh air. I have come to this gym for years and they don't like to turn on the AC. It is set to 81°.. the worst part is the stagnant air. There is a fan on each side of this gym, 2 fans. They say we're suppose to sweat when we work out but why should I have to breathe warm stagnant air while I'm working out. There is no air movement. If you like to breathe hot stagnant air when you work out, join this gym, otherwise I would go somewhere else. Edit: Since my review I have been verbally assaulted by the owner AND the training director John Tagge. I believe this to be unprofessional and I have since quit the gym. I would have left a long time ago but I prepaid until December 2026.. The owner was upset about the honest review and basically said he's not going to be changing much because the electric bill is $4000.. he has put in 2 fans since my review. The training director, (John Tagge) has been harassing me Everytime he sees me at the gym to remove the review. I have seen him get into verbal screaming arguments with more than just myself. He likes to joke around with people but people cannot do the same , he takes it "personal" . If you go there he's the old bald guy. Watch out . Now that I'm gone , I'm going to give a full honest review of the gym. If you look at any of my other reviews they're honest personally experiences I've had and this will be no different . First off I want to say that there are good things about the gym. PROS: It is never busy. If you want to go in and get your workout done?? You won't have to wait like the bigger gyms. They have a woman named Jeannie. If it weren't for her the gym would have probably closed down by now. She is in charge of wellness. She had the owners dedicate a few rooms to wellness. Red Light bed Infrared sauna PMf mat and compression pants There is also another room but I'm not sure what they do in there. Jeannie has coordinated monthly events and she has most recently added a big room for Pilates. Every room she is involved in is clean. I want to think Jeannie keeps it sanitized herself , and they just looks great.( pictures to follow) There are some awesome trainers as well: Felipe who was my personal trainer is the best trainer I have ever worked with . He pays attention to your needs and he he can really work around injuries . He's great . Pascual is another trainer and although I don't have any personal training experience I do see that he has regular clients come in and they seem to be happy.. Rosemary is awesome. She also has her set of repeat clients for years. I believe she has trained the new owners wife for years before they acquired the gym. I speak to her clients regularly and they all seem to be extremely happy . CONS: The gym is dirty , as far as I have been there I have known it to be sanitized once.. They do have a member that comes in every morning and takes the trash out, wipes the restrooms down and vacuums the gym. I never see ANYONE sanitize the gym other than members who wipe down the machines and not everybody does that. The equipment is old . I looked up some of it and it's all roughly 14yrs old. Any new equipment is no name Chinese brand and if you touch it once the controls fall out and it's just cheap. Most all of the pull down ropes are frayed or falling apart, the handles are dirty and they keep rewrapping the pull bars instead of buying anything new. The roof leaks . It has been leaking since before the new owner acquired it. When it rains there is literally puddles and buckets all over the gym. I understand they don't own the building but with roof leaks, it gets insulation wet in areas that you cannot see. With the air conditioning set to 81° it gets very humid, which is a breeding ground for mildew , black mold and whatever else we can't see , and we breathe it. There are 3 different types of free weights and if you're anything like me I'm super OCD. Finding the same weights while stacking can be frustrating . If you're still reading this review it means you're concerned and you care where you decide to workout and breathe fresh air. The gym is $75 a month and it includes nothing but what I've mentioned. All of the wellness rooms ,(ie. sauna, red light, PMf mat, compression ) ARE NOT INCLUDED. I hope this helps sway your decision one way or another read more

What an amazing place. I can not speak highly enough about this gym. The coaches are some of the most knowledgeable I've ever come across. Filipe and John go above and beyond for every single client of theirs and they really make sure you know they care. No egos exist in this place. Love love love it at On Core! I drove by this place every day for a long time before I convinced myself to go inside and check it out, and I'm sooo happy I did. It's a clean, well-maintained, larger facility than it appears from the outside, with lots of amenities/add-ons like sauna and an infrared bed. I hired a trainer, Matt, who is worth his weight in gold. He's motivating, positive, and teaches me all about the proper form so I could finally get around to some serious weight training, which we now know is crucial for women, especially in middle age and beyond for longevity, brain health, etc. I'm so happy that I didn't put this off any longer. The gym has a welcoming, friendly, family-like vibe - no awkward meat locker here (though people take their training and weight lifting seriously for sure). Trainers who I don't even know have stepped up to help me when I'm solo and doing something that might lead to an injury or they just have a pro tip. Everyone is always saying hello with a big, warm smile. They are starting group classes soon, and I hope to take one of those. Love it here! read more

Since going to On Core, my back hasn't gone out, my chiropractor hasn't heard from me, and my nurse practitioner probably forgot who I am because I'm no longer in her office with bug after bug. According to my driver's license, I've also lost 15 pounds and my closet says that I'v dropped from a size 8-10 to a size 6--although losing weight was never my intention. These pounds came off gradually as I consistently made the time (three times per week) to invest in myself. My first day in the gym, I was a few weeks out of physical therapy from a chronic back injury probably related to the changes that we mama bears experience by bringing life into this world. The last spasm was a doozie and had finally made me miss work for the first time. I told myself "enough is enough," and I need to find another way. I was only in my early forties, "too young" to feel this way, so I made the decision to invest in On Core after hearing about it from two of my neighbors, long-time members. I still remember the first day telling my trainer how I was afraid to lift even a single 2-lb weight. I mostly did stretches for the first month or so to re-acclimate my body to its natural movements. My back was that sensitive! Now, I have the knowhow and the wherewithal to lift, push, and pull almost my entire body weight without injuring myself. Moreover, I look forward to working out with new friends each week, not strangers. As a woman, I feel safe and secure in this gym. There's even an outdoor section. Do I pay a little extra to go to a gym that is clean, friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, and has given me my life back (with interest)? You bet I do, and I've never looked back. Due to the fact that they extremely unreasonable prices that On Core Fitness is expecting new customers to pay and with the unprofessional treatment of my trainer I along with others will not be going to this gym at all. Previously I referred others to this gym because it is quaint and small, if someone is not wanting to workout at a large gym (because of too many people). One would not have to worry about too many people at this gym. Yes the gym has a lot of equipment however, they do not have anything out of the ordinary that supports the unreasonable prices. I kept waiting to see what justifies the outrageous prices but nothing came. The red-light therapy and the sauna they now provide is what some of the bigger and better gyms provide with their memberships. Are the prices to cover those new items? There is no justification at all!! Also, it needs to be sanitized!! There is a very nice Janitor that comes in and does the basics but the sanitizing on the regular should be occurring and it is not!! Just look at the carpeted areas and the gym flooring. It seems like the owners of those managing the gym may not have an idea of what is needed to run and gym operationally and motivationally. I've been coming to this gym for several years, I love working out here. The environment is amazing, the staff and coaches are very supportive and friendly. If you ever have questions there's always someone that can help you or assist you with what you need. It's very refreshing inside, plenty of air circulation, and always kept clean. I really like the variety of equipment and that you don't have to wait for anything. Pleasant and comfortable temperatures all day long. The Gym has just celebrated a one year anniversary, and the changes and improvements are staggering. New private rooms for red light therapy, sauna, and physical therapy. Ownership has invested in new equipment and a clean modern environment for your workouts. The staff are always friendly and helpful, parking is easy and the facilities are busy but not overrun. I've been training with Kaleb for over a year and I've lost over 50 lbs. Kaleb keeps me motivated, customizes meal plans & is able to update modify routines that fit busy work schedules. I love that he offers early 4am sessions because I'm able to start my day on the right track! Kaleb's crew is loyal and everyone has been with him for years. I have been a client of John Tagge's for more than five years, and returned to On Core Fitness in mid-2024 following the change in ownership and management from the previous owner/operator. On Core is in a great location in Orange (adjacent to Villa Park and Anaheim Hills) and offers a wide variety of machines, fitness studio/classes, cardio equipment, and expansive free weight options. The management and staff implemented a number of changes that have dramatically improved the gym and the overall environment, including a full suite of wellness and therapy options. Memberships can be tailored to suit your needs; this is not a one-size-fits-all establishment. I have been to many gyms in Orange and On Core is the PERFECT gym! The place is huge for a 'private' gym. The staff at On Core are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The gym is very clean and does not have that nasty gym smell. The bathrooms are upgraded and private shower. Equipment is new and they all work!! Their group bootcamp program is an awesome 1 hour workout!! Ashley is the best coach ever. The studio room for the bootcamp is very clean. The floors are cushioned which makes it perfect for what they do during class. They also offer personal training with their certified trainers, recovery services and massage therapy! If you are into fitness, body building or just simply trying to stay active, check this gym out. read more

I usually mind my business,, but after what I found out, I couldn't keep quiet. On Core Fitness out here promoting their wellness rooms and sauna like they're some kind of luxury spa, meanwhile, the whole thing was built without permits. Yep, you read that right. No inspections, no approval. Just vibes and violations. The city ended up fining them and told them to fix it. So for who knows how long, we were all unknowingly hanging out in rooms that weren't even legally approved. Promoting "health and wealth" while cutting corners that put people at risk? Make it make sense. I canceled my membership the second I found out. Because if they're bold enough to throw up a sauna with no permits, I don't even wanna know what else they're winging. It's giving: "let's look the other way if it saves us a dollar." Moral of the story? If you like your gyms safe, transparent, and not held together by duct tape and audacity... maybe keep looking. read more

I had previously been a member at this location when it was under different management and ownership. I returned, following my trainer and coach John Tagge and am a member of On Core fitness. This is a lovely family owned gym and they have worked really hard to set themselves apart from other facilities. Walking through the doors is a personal experience. You are welcomed and part of a community that is supportive of fitness and wellness. I am able to do the work out I want, when I want it, as well as utilize the red light, infrared sauna and compression facilities. My health and fitness have improved tremendously and I am happy to have this facility and the expertise of their trainers available to me. read more

I love working out here! My trainer Kaleb is truly the best trainer I've ever had. He has completely transformed the way I feel and look. Before training with him, I HATED working out, but now I actually look forward to it. I go Monday-Friday and I've never felt better. This place is awesome! The new owners and renovations are headed in the right direction. They upgraded a number of things like the AC and Fitness Room where they now teach classes and are currently running a 6 Week FREE summer shred program. They also upgraded the door scanner which used to be a hassle but so far works great with the App and new code scanner (you don't need a dongle or card reader, just your phone). There are a number of new machines and new weight racks all around, including a couple of new treadmills and I saw them putting in another quad/hamstring machine this week. Felipe and Ashley are amazing trainers and cool people in general. read more

The gym is great and Felipe is the best trainer a person ever ask for. But there doors suck and it isn't staffed for all the hours it's open so you can't get in because the scanner is always breaking. It's been 3 months and it's still hit and miss.
