Love this gym! Staff are super friendly. You can always go to them if you need help with anything or don't know how to use the equipment. Upon your very first check in, you will need to show photo ID to verify you are the person on the account and they will take a picture of you. I purchased the Classic Paid in Full online for $199. That way I don't have to deal with monthly payments. There is also the regular classic account and the black card account. You can go online to view the differences between the two. Upon entering, open up your PF app and scan your barcode. Equipment seems to be updated since the last time I've had a membership. Very nice! I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel like I need to warn others about this location. I had an issue with my membership at Planet Fitness where I kept getting charged late fees on top of my regular subscription, even though there were sufficient funds in my account. When I tried to resolve the issue, I spoke with the manager, and honestly, she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. There was zero effort to look into the situation or offer any kind of solution. I was basically told "there's nothing we can do" and to cancel online instead. That would've been fine except the account was blocked, so I couldn't even log in to cancel. I tried calling for help multiple times, and no one picked up. At that point, it felt like I was being given the runaround with no real support. Customer service goes a long way, and this location completely missed the mark. If there's an issue with your account, don't expect much help. It's honestly not worth paying $15 for a membership when there's no one available to help you when problems come up. You really get what you pay for. I'll be transferring to LA Fitness yes it may be a bit pricier, but at least the staff and customer support are actually there when you need them. Shout out to Elvira!!! I have had a membership for 3 years at another location but really really really needed to use the restroom. It is tough to go into businesses to use their restroom so I stopped by PF while driving along Tustin St. Even Mc Donald's has a key code for restrooms. I called, having to unfortunately cancel due to, not that it was ANY of their business, medical complications where I wouldn't be able to do anything I want to do in there. Essentially wasting my money and time. Anyway, the woman who answered immediately asked me why, and when I said it was medical she claimed I had to come down to their facility, give them a doctor's note and then that is when they can cancel. Absolutely unnecessary with the doctor's note, AND verbally asking why. The facility is very clean and has everything you need to get a quality workout in! They offer very affordable pricing plans! Last time I checked, it was $10 for the basic plan and $25 for the Black Card Plan. Highly recommend getting the black card plan, so you can go to any Planet Fitness, get access to drinks for half off, get access to the recovery black card lounge and to bring in a friend. My wife has been trying to cancel her membership here for over 5 actual human years. She has not used the services once in that time. At every step of the way, we have been met by brick walls, meant to trap us in the kafkaesque nightmare of this cult-like scamtastic palace of degenerate garbage that calls itself a gym. Want to cancel online? Too bad! Want to cancel over the phone? How about eat garbage instead! You have to go in person to the exact location you signed up in to cancel. This would be super convenient if there wasn't some kind of global pandemic stopping people from going places in person. That's okay though, they say you can send in snail mail to cancel it. We sent in snail mail. They kept charging us. They charged us once a month every month for five years for a service that we did. Not. Use. At. All. Finally, after literally moving to the other side of the the country, a gym in Pittsburgh has been able to help us cancel the membership, though they were not helped by the endless parade of incompetent screw ups from Orange, calling the Pittsburgh gym, giving them and my wife differing and false information. Planet Fitness of Orange: you are a bad business. You have lying, scummy employees, which is a nice match for your bottom of the barrel, sewer sucking, sweat drinking, puppy-kicking policies which would be criminal in a just world. If you work at this location: it's not too late. You can quit and find redemption. If you feel that you are one of the people referenced in this review, I hope you have a bad day night and life. Wow. I just had the worst interaction with Irene, the young lady working the counter. I walked in and she was chatting it up with her colleague, so after a minute, I walked away and went straight to the treadmill with my son. I wanted to give her my number and let her know that my 13 year old son was working out with me. The reality is we are all pressed for time, so me having to wait for her to acknowledge me was not going to happen. After 20 mins, she came up to me and asked me for my phone number while I was running on the treadmill- not a problem, I gave her my number. She came back and stated my membership was cancelled. I've been a member for over 10 years. She was basically kicking me out. I even pulled out my Wells Fargo transaction showing the monthly withdrawal. She said I had to figure it out before I can continue working out. All of this would have been prevented if she acknowledged the customers walking in. I did not leave and called Planet Fitness in Santa Ana and they updated my phone number. The manger at that location apologized on her behalf. I got off the treadmill and had the manger from Memory Lane on speaker. Upon the call being terminated, she still gave me attitude! She then demanded proof of my son's date of birth holding my phone away from me as if she was using my phone as collateral. I ended up snatching my phone from her and she started screaming "you need to leave now." What kind of customer service is this? I really do hope Elvira Flores reaches out to me. read more

So finally got myself back into the gym. Gotta really focus on my health and to make some changes in my lifestyle. I was iffy on what gym to choose but I've been a past member at Planet Fitness and loved it then. I ended up doing the deal during Black Friday so only paid $18 for the Black card, basically more perks. I will only be paying $24 a month so a great deal. Also, I can bring a friend for free each day...any takers??? This location is pretty clean and bigger than I thought. The staff is great and also the trainers. My favorite is Leslie. She introduced herself to us and we are looking to take one of her classes soon, just gotta boost myself up. There are plenty of cardio machines including treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, and erg machines. They also have lots of weight machines, free weights, ropes, kettle balls, mats, and even a 30 minute circuit area. Overall great gym and doesn't get too packed like others. This gym needs a manager who knows how to manage. I've been to several planet fitness gyms in the past, and used to have a Membership years ago. Thinking this location would be cleaner and more structured than others, I was surprised. Machines are outdated, the employees don't constantly replace the paper towels and cleaning solutions and some machines don't work, but sometimes don't have a sign stating they're out of order. Setup is odd, having some weight machines in the front, followed by cardio machines and some more weight machines in the back. The location has decent amount of parking given it's not a busy day for the other businesses. Their location is outdated to the point that when it rains the water leaks from the ceilings. Some employees greet you others don't (this part doesn't matter to me, but I'm used to it from the other gyms) Overall this gym needs better management, and updated machines. It has potential, but it's not there yet. I'd recommend going to the Santa Ana one (for a better experience) or the Costa Mesa (for an excellent experience and updated machines) read more

She was so friendly and welcoming the moment I walked into the gym. She answered all my questions, as well as gave me more information on my Black Membership that I will start using. This location is conveniently located near my home. I mainly use it for the tanning and massage chairs and beds. The gym part is pretty equipped with lots of cardio machines but not many free weights. Pros: Tanning - you're spending less than half, for a full membership here, than you would at a sole tanning spot. Massage chairs/beds - why waste your money on a massage when the chairs and beds here do a good enough job. Ok, no happy ending but get your massage here and end it happily at home. Simple gym for a good basic workout. This Planet Fitness is located in an outdoor strip mall with a large parking lot in front. The gym layout has a large amount of cardio machines in the center with free weights and weight machines toward the back where the black card area is located. Cable and ab apparatus along with the 30- minute workout area and the 360 area are upfront. The gym was not crowded during my visit... big plus. The gym was clean and well maintained. The music level was just right. The female locker room had 4 impressively large tiled showers (probably the biggest I've seen at a gym) and one large dressing room. Was an alright gym... but now it's ruined by a flood of high schoolers. The gym itself isn't anything special when it comes to equipment but it's usually clean and for $10 a month it's a good deal for what you get. Aside from only smith machines (no real barbells) it's has pretty much all you need for a good lift Usually the crowd would pick up around 4pm. But since June there's been huge surge of kids surrounding the benches in groups, leaving weights everywhere, and overall just having terrible gym etiquette. Turns out they're letting high schoolers go for free. Someone needs to teach them proper gym etiquette because it's unbearable for the people just trying to get a workout Went here for about a year and I had to cancel my membership. Wow, went in today to inquire about a membership. The person at the front desk requested my ID to register me as a guest. I provided my drivers license and then she wanted me to provide my e mail address. I explained my reluctance to do that because I do not like my phone to be bombarded with emails. I am not a member yet. She then stated the email address was mandatory and a tour would not be provided without it. "Its policy". I was put off and left Went home and was going to call corporate to complain. There seems to be no way to do that. I've been a member of Planet Fitness for quite a few years now and I still love this place! It's super clean and well-maintained. They have a good amount of equipment and they hardly ever need any repairs. I like the simplicity of this gym because I'm able to get a great workout and not have to pay expensive fees like other fancier gyms. I used to own a small personal training gym in FL, as well as, being a former pro fitness competitor, I truly appreciate a well run gym. The staff are great here and their manager, Elvira is the BEST! I've been working out here for about a month now. I decided to get a membership when I moved out of my apartment complex and no longer had access to the gym there. With so many options to choose from I decided to go with Planet Fitness as I had never had a gym membership before, and wanted to test the waters somewhere that is more geared towards beginners. My first impression of this location was overall good. However, this gym is pretty consumed by cardio machines. This seems to be a common theme at all of the locations I've been to. This doesn't concern me too much as they do offer a fair variety of other workout equipment as well, (although they are more limited). I've never really had an issue with waiting for machines because I mainly come after 9pm when it's not too crowded. However, a concern I have is that some people will take extra long breaks between sets and lounge on their cell phones while taking up a machine. For me, I like to get in and out so this can be rather frustrating at times when I have to wait for someone to get off their phone and finish up with their machine (although this is never an issue with cardio lol). I will say though that almost every one is courteous in regards to wiping down machines and re racking. I have came once during peak hours when pretty much all machines were taken up. I stuck to the free weights area where I was able to find a free bench and workout with some dumbbells. This area is pretty limited also with about three smith machines total and a limited range of free weights compared to other places. Planet fitness is definitely not geared for heavy lifters, but they don't advertise to be so I won't knock them down for that. I really enjoy group fitness classes so I am a little disappointed this isn't something they offer. However, I knew this ahead of time before signing. What they do offer with the black card membership is tanning, hydromassage, and total body enhancement. My apartment offered free tanning so this was perfect for me as I often used the tanning beds at my old complex regularly. Also, with black card I am able to workout at any location. This was a selling point for me because I was able to find a location near my parents house (who live in Timbuktu) so I am able to continue my workout routine when I visit them on the weekends every so often. Overall, it's been a good fit for me. My only knock would be the limited amount of machines aside from cardio. Also, this location is not open 24 hours everyday. They open at 12 am on Monday and stay open 24 hours until Friday when they close at 10pm. Weekends are open 7am to 7pm. This makes it more difficult to coordinate my workouts on the weekends as I am a "late-night-goer" read more

COCKROACHES!!! Look, this is by far THE WORST gym I've ever stepped foot into (if you can even call this place a gym). Not only do they have a giant cockroach infestation, but the staff are rude and will harass you constantly about what you're wearing, if they don't like the color of your mask, pants, shirt, etc. These are the same people that will keep billing you even after you quit, lie about being open 24-7 (they are not open 24-7) and they only have 3 squat racks which are usually always taken up. Other people will sit and play on their phones in the gym when someone else can be using the machine that they are on, and the bathrooms are gross. Half their machines aren't oiled down so they don't work. There's a rude person named "dyanne" working the front desk and some other virgin who looks like a twig with short black hair. If you don't want to be robbed of your valuable time or money, stay far away from this shithole. read more

They set off the lunk alarm which really hurt because my ears are sensitive, and forced us out of the gym. Oh wait, we're not a gym! WERE PLANET FITNESS.
