Callie is absolutely fantastic. From the moment I met her, I knew we would work extremely well together and that she was the perfect person to help bring our vision to life on the big day. Callie also offers a fantastic day-of coordination package, which includes 24/7 email correspondence (although sometimes Callie takes a while to respond or needs an extra reminder or two on deliverables), a trip to the venue leading up to the big day, rehearsal coverage, and then, of course, day-of coordination. While I was a fairly organized bride already, Callie provides a helpful Google document to make sure you're thinking of every little detail needed. Crystal, Callie's assistant, is also a gem. Between the bright and bubbly personalities to the execution of a very detailed wedding, I couldn't have asked for a better duo to help us with the big day. It was hands down, the best decision we made concerning our wedding. Krista is extremely valuable. And for her level of experience and dedication, a wedding coordination package with her is very reasonably priced. As a couple who wanted everything to be personalized, Krista was a major help when we wrote our own ceremony and vows. She was also generous enough to allow us to use some of the decoration hardware she has collected over her years of coordinating. She was very detail-oriented. Even though we had planned everything down to the smallest detail, there were some things that Krista brought up that we hadn't thought about. Communication with her was reliable, quick and easy. We always felt supported, even during the crazy wedding season. Knowing that Krista was there was very comforting and allowed us to enjoy the wedding. Even though there were some hitches on the wedding day (such as realizing that I left my veil in the hotel room 5-minutes prior to the ceremony), Krista handled it flawlessly. I would strongly advise caution before booking this venue. I will say the venue itself is beautiful…read morehowever the owners are a nightmare! Mainly the lady. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely negative due to the behavior of the staff, particularly Bonnie. My employee and I were made to feel uncomfortable by her hostile attitude and lack of professionalism toward both vendors and guests. During the reception, Bonnie repeatedly interrupted to criticize and micromanage minor issues rather than allowing guests to enjoy the celebration. At one point, a wedding guest threw ice into a nearby weeded area. Although we had no involvement and were unaware it had happened, Bonnie immediately approached us and held us responsible for the guest's actions in an unpleasant tone in front of guest. She also accused us of dumping juice on the grass, despite the fact that we did not even have juice on-site we were serving a pre-batched margarita, and all waste was properly disposed of in the trash. Another issue arose when a plug was missing from one of the venue's coolers. The cooler had been sitting in the same location before we arrived, yet we were essentially blamed for the missing item without any evidence. Later, as we were breaking down our equipment, Bonnie sent her husband to stand and watch us the entire time, which felt unnecessary, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was later accused of taking a table that actually belonged to us. Throughout my years working events, I have never encountered a venue with such a negative and unwelcoming atmosphere. My impression is that couples are presented with a friendly and accommodating image during the booking process, only to experience something entirely different on their wedding day. If staff are unable to tolerate children playing, guests celebrating responsibly, or vendors doing their jobs, then the hospitality industry may not be the right fit. This was one of the most uncomfortable venue experiences I have had, and I would not recommend spending your money here.

We had a really difficult experience working with Genisis. She was very unresponsive and…read moredisorganized, taking 6-7 weeks to respond to emails, missing meetings, and asking questions that were already in our previous notes. She would suggest meetings or tell us she would send things by a certain date and then ghost. When we brought this up with her she dismissed our concerns by saying they were not in our original agreement, completely missing the fact that the reason we were upset was because SHE was suggesting these times and not following through. One meeting was rescheduled by our venue and we were understanding that Genisis couldn't make this rescheduled meeting, but she used that as an excuse for missing the previous meetings/deadlines. Genisis also repeatedly got the groom's name wrong and we gave her feedback that this was offensive, she said we were being "inflammatory" and that she could've gotten any client's name wrong regardless of ethnic background. (Like this was supposed to make us feel better? Or more confident in her attention to detail?) Overall we found Genisis to be very unprofessional, unresponsive, disorganized, and dismissive of our concerns and feedback. Another review also mentioned it was hard to get ahold of her leading up to the wedding but she did come through day-of. So it's possible she would've gotten it together for the actual wedding, but with less than 3 weeks to go and still not being able to get ahold of her, we decided it was not worth the risk and decided to find a different coordinator.

I'll admit it: Planning a wedding was not my thing. I was generally overwhelmed and at some points…read morejust had to hope for the best with my vendors. I had a huge bridal party who all were willing to help but I knew I needed a point person who had experience! I enlisted Lavinna's help for day of coordinating. My venue rented by the hour, so it would have cost me about the same if I hired someone to do the set-up as it was to rent the venue for more hours and decorate ourselves. The trade-off was that I had to trust someone to do the set-up and even though I was able to pop in for literally five minutes, I would not see the final product until we were announced, long after our guests had arrived. Kind of freaked me out. I got Lavinna, who did it all for me. She and her team were amazing. She emailed me before the event to keep me on track for what she needed. The set-up was seamless and everything looked better than I could have hoped for. She kept us on track throughout the evening. Then they made clean-up look like a breeze. As a bride, the time is flying by, the stress is high and you have a ton of people pulling you in a hundred different directions. Lavinna and her assistants were the best investment I made in ensuring my wedding was beautiful and fun. Thank you so much!!
