What their EVERY move!…read more A couple of months ago, I utilized thos moving service. At the time, I was quite happy. 2 of the 3 movers were nice, courteous and wanted to do a good job. The other was unfriendly, hid alot (so much the other movers would frequently ask where the other was!), and had a general unpleasant vibe about him. Upon the completetion of the move, I was just happy to get it done. I paid and tipped generously (even the unpleasant one). Then, after they left, a family member asked if I had seen what the unpleasant one did. I did not. But according to my my family member, right where the unpleasant one stood, my family member noticed a wallet. It was emptied and it was far away from where the test of my stuff was unloaded (so it's not like it fell out, during the unloading.). I still gave the movers of the benefit of the doubt. Then I started missing things...a lot of things! During the successive weeks, as I was umpacking, I discovered I was missing several items - from important documents to household items. I have been through everything at least a dozen times - nothing. I have no proof; and when thinking back, I remember, as the crew was locking up there rig, I was encouraged to go before them. So, I left them alone with my stuff for a long period of time! I didn't say anything because, again, I had no proof and I was embarissed that I was so stupid to leave them alone with my belongings. But upon thinking about how more people might be victimized, I decided to wrote this review, hoping that it might help at least one person. So whether you use Lobo or another moving company, NEVER leave the movers alone with your stuff! Always have your eye on your possessions and the people handling them!

For the first move, they moved my family's 3-bedroom house plus two sheds worth of belongings. For the second move, it was my dad's jam-packed, 1-bedroom apartment full of stuff. In both moves, there was A LOT of stuff, and they did their best to handle everything very carefully. Even when things didn't go perfectly according to plans (when do they ever?), they were honest, flexible, and amazing. Overall K&J'z is a great local company and their movers are friendly, efficient, hard working, reliable, timely, and will do their very best to make you happy. I've hired them twice now, and I would definitely hire them a third time and for any future moving services I need. Thank you, K&J'z, for making both of my stressful moves a lot easier for my family and me! We appreciate you and can't wait to do business with you again!

They are the worst. We had used them many times in the past, but today's outright cruelty is unforgivable. They should be ashamed. Edit to respond to owner's response: the cruelty continues. But I suppose that is good for the public to see when deciding whether to use this business. It is an absolute fabrication that the apartment was full of feces. John, you never assessed the situation yourself nor even gave us the courtesy of a return phone call so you really shouldn't be stating as fact things about which you have no personal knowledge. Context is that this woman was being moved from one assisted living facility to another. One mover told us that his partner could not tolerate the smell because it turned his stomach. The other mover told us he was fine with it but couldn't do the job alone. We asked if another person could be replaced and asked for the owner to call. We never received any phone call. We have left messages but silence. If you have an elderly family member in need of help, do not contact this company. It is difficult getting older. Your actions have made it much worse.

Better communication between the person moving and what hiring a trailer will require. I am 75…read moreyears old, the trailer was up off the ground! When it arrived there was no place to park it. It had to be parked two blocks away. Which required me to rent a u-haul to move my things from the truck to my house. It cost me so much money for the extra time for the movers and the extra truck! The trailer only had my things in it but they charged an extra $1000 for the added space I used. Everything shifted in the truck/trailer. I complained to them that I had been misled and the order was totally wrong. I should have not used the trailer! Horrible and very expensive move. They didn't care. They have your credit card!

It was a breeze from beginning to end. The U-Pack folks at the point of origin in Albuquerque were very efficient. I emailed them a map of where to go, and followed up with a phone call, and they came and dropped the cube off on-time and exactly where I needed it. I loaded it up with some help from family, called U-Pack and they picked it up the next day. It took about a week to get to Houston. The folks at U-Pack in Houston were also very efficient and friendly. I called and they came out the next day and dropped the cube off, again, on-time and in a place that was perfect for me to unload it into my garage. I let them know that I was done, and they came a few days later and took the cube away. Easy as pie. Lastly, the price was right. They were significantly less expensive than the other container company (Pods). Some things to help... - good communication is important, don't be afraid to call them - someone has to be there to accept delivery of the cube at either end, but you don't have to be there for them to pick it up at either end - follow their videos about packing. You have to go vertical to get the most out of the space provided. - be sure to use lots of padding. I used a lot of old cardboard boxes and got a big roll of bubble wrap. I also used some old blankets and towels. - I also used some small ratcheting tie downs inside. Inside the cube are lots of rails in the walls with slots to attach tie downs. Careful packing, padding and tie downs helped everything arrive pretty much just as I packed it. I didn't have any damages. This experience was so smooth that I will likely use these guys again in the future, should I need to do a small or a large move. Good luck.
