I have never seen this restaurant busy, so I was hesitant to try it. Finally I had to see for myself what it was like. I went by myself to ensure it was adequate with a date. The menu looked good and prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was quiet as there were few people in attendance. I ordered their special, pan roasted halibut. The dish arrived quickly and looked nice. The halibut was a bit modest in size. The rice and the asparagus were cook perfectly. I realized while eating the fish that the middle of the fish was way undercooked and cold. I told the waitress about the issue. She offered another fish, but I did not have the time to wait for another preparation. I ate about 2/3 of the fish. When I received the bill, I was surprised by the price of $42 for the entree. As an seasoned cook, I know it is a challenge to cook fish exactly right. Lots of variables, initial fish temperature, pan temperature, size of the fish, length of time cooking. Good consistency is important in this town. I hope this restaurant survives. read more

Have in the past found the food to be very good, particularly the asparagus fries, and Romain lettuce wraps. However, split a porterhouse steak with my wife last night, and it was totally forgettable. Not sure if it's the preparation or the source of the meat. We were passing through after my sons baseball game and I had no idea this little gem existed in Lake County. Such a gorgeous restaurant looks like something that would be in the city. We came to Clearlake for our Anniversary and Birthday week. We asked a local if there was any good restaurant. They said "NO" this is Lake County. We stumbled onto this restaurant and it was amazing. The wine was exquisite, and the food was amazing. We met the owner who was also the wine maker and had a very nice conversation with him. If you ever come to Clear Lake I would highly recommend this place. It made our 29th Anniversary very special. read more

Fabulous restaurant! The menu is enticing and diverse, embracing a "sustainable, farm to table approach. I absolutely love the Achiote Grilled Salmon! The salmon is cooked to perfection! Additionally, there are daily special events - including family nights on Tuesdays, Fish Fry on Friday and Steakhouse Saturday. Wine list is amazing! The ambience is absolutely beautiful with a breathtaking view of Clearlake. Outside covered seating is available or step inside for indoor dining at its finest! We had heard good things about this spot and were excited to give it a try. First, I'll say the two servers working were very friendly and sweet, which makes it hard to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, this feels like a case of a restaurant trying too hard and missing the mark. The menu is extensive -- honestly, it's too much -- and overwhelming to navigate as a patron and it seems it might be too much for their kitchen staff. A more focused menu could really help with execution. We were a group of four, and only the shakshuka hit the mark. The fried chicken sandwich was just okay, which is a hard dish to do poorly. It was the smallest piece of fried chicken and essentially all bread. The other two dishes we ordered were missing elements listed on the menu. Our friend's lamb sandwich arrived without several toppings, and my chilaquiles looked nothing like the photo that had been posted on their social media -- it was honestly just a plate of chips with a little spicy crema drizzle. It also arrived with no refried beans as listed on their menu. The 'steak' was also really the worst part. A few slices of pre cooked, poorly reheated steak that tasted like butane. It was inedible. While the servers were kind, the service was disorganized. We waited at the host stand and then were told to pick a table and seat ourselves. We had to push tables together ourselves because the open four-tops weren't cleared. For the majority of our meal, there were multiple tables that remained uncleared, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. While not a big thing, it's a bit of a pet peeve to have to look at tables of dirty dishes when you're trying to enjoy your Sunday brunch. There's definitely potential here, but they need to tighten up operations, simplify the menu, and focus on doing fewer things really well. read more

The mid range score is not about the food which was good. It reflects logistics and service. The reservation made from their website is via Toast, which is where you go when you hit the restaurant's Reservation button. But the hostess indicated confusion, seemed to say that site doesn't work, we were not on their hand written list. Still, we were promptly given a table. Twenty minutes later we gave our orders after asking to do so. Our food arrived 50 minutes after we sat down...there were only three of us. Yes, it was Easter Sunday and busy, but this was still an excessive wait. This was our first visit, maybe the last. We drove from 45 minutes away on the advice of friends. read more

My co workers went to eat there. Their food was horrible and cold. They ordered my food to go and it was disgusting. They have all these fancy names on their menu but it is literally trash for food. Chicken was raw and potatoes were old and all they did was throw some Parm cheese on them. None of us will ever go there again and we will recommend eating elsewhere read more

We had 2 kids plates and the Ahi tuna. The ahi was stacked on top of well prepared vegetables and blackened. The kids plates were the chicken and cheese sandwich- although simple they were tasty. The Ahi tuna tower was delicious as were the shawarma tacos and clam chowder . I loved their mimosa selection as well. We didn't have reservations on Mother's Day but they fit us in and all the moms got roses. Nice touch ! Great service and atmosphere too! read more

Twelve of us celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's wedding with dinner at this restaurant. Among our orders were the Waterfront Local Burger (the groom's favorite) , Ahi tuna tower, Mediterranean Mezze Platter, Verde Bruchetta Gnocchi, Schwarma tacos, Achioite grilled salmon and a Wedge salad. Everyone loved their choices. The service was outstanding and we met the chef as well. Our grandbaby made the typical mess and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. We were extremely pleased with our meals. The options on the menu is what you'd expect to find in a top-notch 5-star restaurant in Carmel or Santa Barbara. They offer a wide array of wine and even have a wine recommendation for every meal. They also offer beer and nonalcoholic beverages too. For those who enjoy eating outdoors, there's an outdoor patio, where you can catch a view of Clear Lake. Our food was delivered within a reasonable time, and the bread was still hot out of the oven. We managed to fit in a slice of their apple pie with a side of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. The apple pie was too die for. My wife was excited that they had so many flavors of mimosas. Jules mentioned that they could do a mimosa flight so she could try a few different ones. My wife said they were all delicious. 0 stars if I could. I'm not sure what's going on - we've been here 1 hour and twenty minutes for brunch and nothing. They offered to comp our iced tea and lemonade. People who came after us were served before us. Asked to see the general manager but they were gone. Talked to the hostess several times - wait staff pretty much ignored us bc they could tell we were fuming. I won't come back. I don't eat out often but this is the second time I've come here with everything taking forever. Food is ok but not worth the wait. read more
