The food menu was interesting and offered a nice range of comfort to finer dining options. The wine menu was extensive. Both the food and wines were reasonably priced. The spicy ahi tuna bites were delicious. Fresh and flavorful ahi on top of the perfectly crunchy sushi bites that had the right amount of "QQQ" (aka chew). This paired nicely with the Sol Rouge Viognier. It seems this place also has music nights. With or without music, the food quality is definitely worth checking out. Modern open interior with high ceilings, and perimeter seating with a short bar area. We ate here twice while in town, and had reservations both times. Greeted walking in at our time and seated within the same moment. The staff are all friendly, professional and kind. Our servers both visits made us feel welcome and appreciated for dining there. A concise creative menu thats better than most in the area. We started with a couple appetizers. The Spicy Ahi Crunch bites were very good, with fresh Ahi and a slice of jalepeno on top of a crunchy puff bite. We really enjoyed them and thought it was a good start. Along with their fresh baked focaccia bread with evoo and balsamic. Both were very good starters. Next we shared the large Harvest salad with poached pear, squash, brussels, walnuts and lettuce greens. This is a big salad and was easy for us to split between the two of us. A good choice as well, great textures and flavors. For my meal I went for the Black and Gold Salmon. A hearty serving with a near perfectly cooked salmon filet on top of risotto with mushrooms. This is a small, sleek restaurant, with a separate wine tasting area. I was greeted and seated pretty quickly, though it took a minute for someone to take my drink and food order. There were 2 servers and 4 occupied tables. The food was very good. I started with the grilled artichokes. Tender, with crispy garlic. Next was the butternut squash soup which had a velvety consistency and warm spices. My entree was the umami mushroom burger melt on a gluten-free bun with a side salad. It had a wonderful flavor. I have never seen this restaurant busy, so I was hesitant to try it. Finally I had to see for myself what it was like. I went by myself to ensure it was adequate with a date. The menu looked good and prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was quiet as there were few people in attendance. I ordered their special, pan roasted halibut. The dish arrived quickly and looked nice. The halibut was a bit modest in size. The rice and the asparagus were cook perfectly. I realized while eating the fish that the middle of the fish was way undercooked and cold. I told the waitress about the issue. She offered another fish, but I did not have the time to wait for another preparation. I ate about 2/3 of the fish. When I received the bill, I was surprised by the price of $42 for the entree. As an seasoned cook, I know it is a challenge to cook fish exactly right. Lots of variables, initial fish temperature, pan temperature, size of the fish, length of time cooking. Good consistency is important in this town. I hope this restaurant survives. read more

I ordered a glass of bubbles then asked the waitress if the GF French fries were truly gluten free as I have Celiac and they will make me sick for up to 7 days. She assured me they were GF. I ordered them and a glass of Rose. I ate three fries and decided to ask again because they were overly crispy. She ran back from the kitchen and said the chef said they are coated in wheat flour. She brought the check and I paid it and left. I unsuccessfully attempted to throw up in the parking lot. Which means I will be in pain, have brain fog, and look 8 months pregnant for a week. All because an owner, chef and waitstaff couldn't be bothered to communicate. the service is typically slow. expect to have empty glasses in front of you throughout your meal. but that I can forgive. We were passing through after my sons baseball game and I had no idea this little gem existed in Lake County. Such a gorgeous restaurant looks like something that would be in the city. We came to Clearlake for our Anniversary and Birthday week. We asked a local if there was any good restaurant. They said "NO" this is Lake County. We stumbled onto this restaurant and it was amazing. The wine was exquisite, and the food was amazing. We met the owner who was also the wine maker and had a very nice conversation with him. We had heard good things about this spot and were excited to give it a try. First, I'll say the two servers working were very friendly and sweet, which makes it hard to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, this feels like a case of a restaurant trying too hard and missing the mark. The menu is extensive -- honestly, it's too much -- and overwhelming to navigate as a patron and it seems it might be too much for their kitchen staff. A more focused menu could really help with execution. We were a group of four, and only the shakshuka hit the mark. The fried chicken sandwich was just okay, which is a hard dish to do poorly. It was the smallest piece of fried chicken and essentially all bread. The other two dishes we ordered were missing elements listed on the menu. Our friend's lamb sandwich arrived without several toppings, and my chilaquiles looked nothing like the photo that had been posted on their social media -- it was honestly just a plate of chips with a little spicy crema drizzle. It also arrived with no refried beans as listed on their menu. The 'steak' was also really the worst part. A few slices of pre cooked, poorly reheated steak that tasted like butane. It was inedible. While the servers were kind, the service was disorganized. We waited at the host stand and then were told to pick a table and seat ourselves. We had to push tables together ourselves because the open four-tops weren't cleared. For the majority of our meal, there were multiple tables that remained uncleared, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. While not a big thing, it's a bit of a pet peeve to have to look at tables of dirty dishes when you're trying to enjoy your Sunday brunch. There's definitely potential here, but they need to tighten up operations, simplify the menu, and focus on doing fewer things really well. read more

The reservation made from their website is via Toast, which is where you go when you hit the restaurant's Reservation button. But the hostess indicated confusion, seemed to say that site doesn't work, we were not on their hand written list. Still, we were promptly given a table. Twenty minutes later we gave our orders after asking to do so. Our food arrived 50 minutes after we sat down...there were only three of us. Twelve of us celebrated our son and daughter-in-law's wedding with dinner at this restaurant. Among our orders were the Waterfront Local Burger (the groom's favorite) , Ahi tuna tower, Mediterranean Mezze Platter, Verde Bruchetta Gnocchi, Schwarma tacos, Achioite grilled salmon and a Wedge salad. We were extremely pleased with our meals. The options on the menu is what you'd expect to find in a top-notch 5-star restaurant in Carmel or Santa Barbara. They offer a wide array of wine and even have a wine recommendation for every meal. They also offer beer and nonalcoholic beverages too. For those who enjoy eating outdoors, there's an outdoor patio, where you can catch a view of Clear Lake. Our food was delivered within a reasonable time, and the bread was still hot out of the oven. We managed to fit in a slice of their apple pie with a side of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. The apple pie was too die for. People who came after us were served before us. Asked to see the general manager but they were gone.
