I was super excited and very hungry. Came for a meal over the 4th of July weekend. I was immediately confronted by a wait person who accused me of dining and dashing the last time I came here for dinner. Mind you that I have never in my entire life ever left a restaurant without paying. I'm no teenager so definitely can pay what I owe. And in fact, in the last few visits, have generously tipped the old mill staff at minimum 20-25%. When I chose to give them $100 to cover the bill they accused me of not paying the last time...they at first refused then proceeded to tell me the truth...that the machine they were using the night I was accused of not paying was not working and they had encountered multiple problems with different patrons that night...and many other payments had not gone through. In fact, they said after that they were forced to replace the entire system. So I ask, if you knew it was your system...why would you then accuse a patron of purposely not paying the bill. I stayed to eat. I even tipped extra. But after I left, I realized the situation put a distaste in my mouth. Hopefully the server and mgmt learn not to blame a Patti for their bad machine/system. That was in poor taste. That approach made the food tasted mediocre after that. Next time I'll think twice before I choose to come again. read more

I been coming to Clearlake for over 2 years and I can't believe this is the first time i come to the old mill, the food was delicious, we had an omelette, the mushroom burger and french toast, everything was good. The restaurant looked clean, neat and the service was great. My only advice is that when they give you the menu they tell you about the specials, they have it in the entrance, but i was not paying attention and missed it. So i ordered a ceviche to go :) I will be back soon for sure. read more

While turkey hunting I had to break my fast here after scouting and seeing some flocks hours earlier. It's a beautiful little town and the service and food was amazing. If you're like me and have a taste for lamb get the rack of lamb. The mushrooms mixed with the balsamic glaze was delicious. read more

We liked it okay. No major issues. I did have the street tacos at a special price. Beef tasted like it was cooked yesterday and warmed up. Served with cilantro and raw onions. Wish it was cooked with the onions, skip the cilantro and add pico degallio on the side with sour cream. Good service, he had a thick accent but he did his job. It was clean and so was the restroom. The food is good and looks beautiful plated. Everything looked fresh. My only complaint is the staff isn't very attentive. We needed mustard for our burgers and waited and waited for the staff to look our way so we could ask. We waited so long we finally flagged them down from across the restaurant. When we were done eating we waited and waited for the check or to be told where to pay and the staff never came by. We finally got up and went to the register to pay. Bright and cheerful atmosphere of their spacious dining area and option of comfy booth seating is always a plus. I love that for their breakfast burrito you can order either 3 small ones or one larger one. That way you can have the option of trying up to 3 different protein/meat options in the 3 smaller burritos if you so desire. I usually don't take meat in my breakfast burritos but still in love with that idea. Having each one wrapped in their wonderful warm, soft, somehow doughy yet flaky homemade flour tortillas was also a win. They still serve their breakfast items during lunchtime- also a bonus! Husband really enjoyed his garden burger and hot crispy onion rings. Plenty of classic options on the menu and friendly service. Easy to pop in to their tortilleria next door to purchase some of those delicious homemade flour and/or corn tortillas and salsas to enjoy at home! Food was remarkable unbelievable. We stopped there after work on Thursday and had a wonderful dinner the food was delicious. The only complaint I did have was and I am so sorry Hemberto you need to hire waitresses that speak better English. There was quit a bit of a communication barrier going on. Rather frustrating. Almost to the point of walking out. But because of you we hung around and stayed and worked together. The food yes was delicious. I will definitely try it again and bring the friends and family in. Went again for lunch this time today. Got it To Go. I got their Ribeye steak, with poached eggs, hasbrowns, and rye toast. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. It had great flavor, and garlic butter on top. Friend got the BLT and ate half before I was able to snap a pic. She LOVED it. Plenty of luscious bacon, fresh crispy lettuce & tomato on sourdough. Fries were hot and crisp even with it being To Go. So good and it's great to have a place with real food so close to home now. Five stars again!!! read more

The old mill restaurant is great for breakfast and lunch. I had a Denver omelet with hash browns and coffee which was made fresh. Very good place to experiment. I was able to sit outside in front of the business. They installed a nice wood trellis overhead. read more

AMAZING RESTAURANT!! My partner and I are from out of town and throughly enjoyed not just the food but the young waitress who was only in high school was just amazing and stellar at her job. She had such a great service attitude and personality and was just so inviting and sweet. Made us feel like we were at home while vacationing. Not to mention the food was just like Gordon Ramsay level. That burger was the best i've ever tried and the house ground beef blend they make omg you could taste the love that is so obviously hand crafted into every dish they serve. One thing to know, the online information does not include dinner information here, but let me tell you they are open until 10 and they serve dinner! I had the ribeye medium rare. It was done perfectly and was accompanied by arugula (my fav) and gently braised tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and potatoes. To add to that, it was plated beautifully! Fabulous dish! 5 out of 5 stars. The food here was really good. We all enjoyed our meal. The staff was very friendly and inviting as you came into the restaurant. My son ordered pancakes they were fluffy and from what the kiddo said he'd definitely would order it again. The hubby was more than happy with his meal and said he was impressed with the food and couldn't wait to be back. I ordered the breakfast burrito. I had no complaints it had wonderful flavor and the bacon was still crispy inside the burrito. I loved that I had the option for three small burritos verses one large burrito. This worked out perfect for me since I'm. It a big eater and it was two other meals. The prices were reasonable and the environment was clean. We will be back. Over 45 minutes passed and still no food. We noticed everyone had their food that came in way after us. The serve asked if someone had taken our order, and I said yes its been over 45 min.
