We had the seafood egg rolls, shrimp basket, and wings and it was all delicious. The wings were the best that I've ever had! The whole vibe in the restaurant is amazing as well. Good music and good food.

I was visiting Wilmington and my friend took me to this place saying it was good so i was expecting a good food, however my experience was not good at all, the wait time to be seated was about 20 minutes which is not bad, once we were inside and placed our order took over 30 minutes to arrive which i think it was excessive i got the the catch of the day I was was so hungry but unfortunately food was not good at all, rice was okay I think needs more flavor and was crispy which means was seating on a heated element before it was served, salmon was okay not bad but not the best and broccoli was the worse very very salty to the point that you could not eat it, i asked for another side of broccoli but i knew it would not arrive soon i ended up leaving before i got my side.

My friend got a fish sandwich which i tried and it was good and the Okra as well. Unfortunately i can rate them more than two stars due to the wait time and the broccoli. As always this is my personal opinion.

We ordered the Shrimp Burger and the Fire grill shrimp basket. It took an hour for our food to arrive while customers who got there after us received theirs, don't know how to feel about that.. just didn't sit right with us knowing...

I got the shrimp burger and was some of the best shrimp that I have had in Wilmington. My wife got the steak egg rolls and they were delicious also plus we had leftovers for lunch the next day.

On Thyme was a great little adventure. Awesome, fried shrimp fish and mushrooms. None of the fried foods sat under a heat lamp. Piping hot direct from the deep fryer. With jazz music as our background a great place to enjoy a mid day lunch hour. You walk in shown a seat and handed a plastic coat short menu, a second menu has meal deals of the day. You then go to the cashier and place your order and pay. My wife and I split the fish, shrimp and fries plate. With fried mushrooms as an appetizer. All the food was served hot from the deep fryer. No, heat lamps used here. They do not have cocktail sauce, but the thyme sauce served with the fried fish and shrimp did not disappoint. It really worked with the dip used on the fried foods. The ranch worked as well with the fried mushrooms. Would return when visiting the area again.

Southern, soul, comfort food. The egg rolls are a MUST! The best we've ever had! The shrimp burger was like a po-boy with delicious, golden fried shrimp. And the fried fish was flaky + crispy. The vibe here is chill with a mixture of Hip+Hop and R&B playing in the background. Ohhh...lemme not leave out the SWEET tea.... perfect for these southern dishes.

Finally made it to the viral restaurant in Wilmington - On Thyme. And it was, well - right on time. I had to get it to go because I was on the road but the ambiance is upbeat and soulful with good music and beautiful murals throughout. There's a wall of black greats behind the bar that's stunning. There's indoor and out door seating and a small stage with couches and tables outside. Now to the food - I got the viral Philly steak egg rolls. They were huge and lasted for 3 days. They were juicy and filled with meat and cheese. You get 6 and they are really filling. Definitely enough for 2 to share. I also had the shrimp and teriyaki style wings that came with fries. All the food was good and hot. I will definitely be making a return trip when I'm in the area. Service was great as well. The order took a minute but it's made to order so that takes time. This place stays busy so get there early. So glad I gave it a try and can't wait to try other menu items. On Thyme is right on time.

After having read so many rave reviews on the food, we expected it to be great, and it was. The Shrimp and Fish basket was perfectly prepared and huge! The Cajun Shrimp Po Boy was well seasoned with a generous amount of shrimp. What we didn't expect was the great bar service. Special shout out to Jevaughn - friendliest and most competent bartender we've had in a long time. Go there. You won't be disappointed!

Food was very good, however the queso fries were missing the crab and queso. The shrimp was fantastic and the atmosphere was wonderful with great service. We waited a little longer than expected, around 30 minutes. The prices were reasonable and overall it was a fun way to spend a Friday night.

This place was highly recommended for me to try out and I finally went good energy environment, friendly staff and the owner Corey down to earth. I would say get any thing on the menu but my favorite item was and is the OMG fish sandwich it's deep fried fish topped with Cole slaw, famous thyme sauce, crispy pickles with a toasted brioche bun.

Great neighborhood cafe, with amazing tastes and a kitchen with tons of surprises, all of them good. Lots of seating in and out on pleasant days but enough inside seating on rainy days. A host seats you and then you order and pay at the counter. Servers then deliver to you so once you order just set back and relax. There are daily specials but I would urge you to try the Cajun shrimp po-boy. It has layers of flavor down to the fresh shrimp. The bread is grilled and holds up well to the shrimp, special sauce, lettuce and tomato.

Friendly staff and delicious food. I ordered the OMG Fish Sandwich with a side salad. While the sandwich was a little light on coleslaw, the fried fish was well seasoned and freshly prepared. The salad was larger than I expected with a nice mix of greens and ripe tomatoes. Space was a little noisy, but I enjoyed the music.

On Thyme is such a welcomed addition to the Castle Street district. I have wanted to try this place for several months, packed full of happy looking patrons every time I tried going. Well, today was my lucky day! You know it's going to be a tasty meal when there isn't a seat open at 2PM. The first thing I noticed was the absolutely enthusiastic and kind staff!!! The decor was had a modern feel with tables and booths inside and copious outdoor seating for when the heat index isn't 105 :) My bff and I got a seat inside, perused the menu, and then headed to the counter to order. I got the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and he got the Friday special, Cajun Shrimp Po Boy. Both were cooked to perfection and seasoned by expert hands. I also grabbed the coolest dessert I'd seen in a long time, a red velvet cake packaged in a lil jar from Imaginary Cakes. It was moist and perfect! Cannot wait to go back and make this a regular establishment to frequent. Thank you On Thyme for being a part of the neighborhood!!! read more

This place is a gem. The service and all of the employees where friendly and nice. We had 3 different staff members ask us how our meal was, which speaks to the care and pride they take in their food. The food was delicious!! We had the shrimp po boy, which was so yummy and the shrimp were breaded just right. We had a garden salad and fried chicken. The salad ingredients were fresh and the chicken was juice and the seasoning in the breading was fantastic. The French fries were crispy and had a delicious seasoning on them as well. We will definitely go back and tell all of our friends! read more

We had the Pow Wow Shrimp and Cajun Shrimp Po Boys. It was hard to choose what to get as everything looked so good. The POW Wow Shrimp was divine! The restaurant was busy but a booth opened up quickly and the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. read more

As a pescatarian, I love all of the seafood dishes. The shrimp po' boy and the shrimp burger are both fully loaded with shrimp. Love the O.M.G Fish sandwich. The fish/shrimp with fries are well seasoned and tasty as well. It's best to follow them on their social media platform so that you can see what the weekly specials will be. There's a nice family vibe inside and a very chill vibe on the outdoor patio. read more

Very welcoming atmosphere. Great appetizers and food. We had the Philly egg-rolls. I tried the shrimp po-boy. My hubby tried a chicken sandwich. Everything was delicious! It does get hot outside if at all table without an umbrella. Definitely will be back to try other things. read more

Great food great service! My husband and I finally was able to eat here( had heard so many wonderful things about it) we ordered the shrimp po boy and castle street burger . Everything is made fresh as ordered! Sauces are homemade! The shrimp on the po boy are lightly breaded and fried to perfection! The burger was amazing - great combo of flavors. Have napkins ready!!! We enjoyed everything and look forward to going back and trying some new things!!! read more

I'm from Cali so my standard for food is up their plus I've been to many places as far as food and only eat the best aswell as try to only recommend my family to the best I truly gotta tell y'all the food here was bomb bomb !! No lie will definitely Recommend it to my battle buddies back on base .If u come here get ready for that good tasting nap nap food that's how I feel right now .Also the service was that family type of vibe I like this place a lot definitely my go to spot. read more

On 12/20/23 at approximately 1:48pm I placed an order via DoorDash for Philly egg rolls , a side of queso, and an On Thyme burger. My order arrived on time however the side of queso was cold and runny which I learned 3 hours later was expired. This lead to 48 hours of food poisoning (explosive diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever, and a headache). You have lost a customer for life. read more

Food+Vibe+Customer Service=1000% THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD COOKED TO PERFECTION SEASONED RIGHT. Great customer service was the best customer service I have received post pandemic. Every server greeted us checked on us and the owner also checked med on us made sure we were okay. I watched as others came in every staff member was positive laughing and just a great vibe. The food is out of this world BUT one employee could spoil it all for your restaurant! My husband tried to go for lunch in his work van but was treated so rudely and disrespectful by an employee in the parking lot. My husband left and will not go back and he didn't even want to get the employee in trouble. Please don't let your staff treat people this way. He was only trying to support another fellow black owned business! read more

Wish I would have taken a picture of the food. Food was excellent! I had the hot honey chicken sandwich and my wife had the southern shrimp sandwich. Both were excellent and we would highly recommend. Service was excellent as well. We go out allot and feel the quality of what you get is up there with the best of places around Wilmington. It's a must stop. Prices are a value as well. read more

The hospitality, food and vibe at On Thyme can't be beat! We were visiting Wilmington for a couple nights, and our only regret is that we discovered this gem on our last night rather than our first, because we surely would have gone back. We ordered a fried fish basket and a salad with buffalo shrimp, then hung around, enjoying the incredible live music of Frank Grant until we made enough room in our stomachs for a second round of food because it was SO GOOD. Big thanks to Corey and the whole crew for a super fun, delicious and memorable night out in Wilmington. read more

My husband brought me here after he went for lunch and came home raving. The music was good, the employees were friendly and helpful, and I cannot think of one critique of anything I ate! The grilled chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious, down to the bun and bacon! Homemade ranch, delicious fries, and yummy fried shrimp will keep us coming back thyme after thyme. read more

We randomly selected this restaurant when we were in downtown Wilmington. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and my friend ordered the Castle Street Burger. The chicken sandwich was incredible. It was full of flavor and super juicy. The fries were perfect. My friend's burger was also amazing. The people working at On Thyme are friendly, fast and efficient. We'll definitely go back the next time we are in Wilmington read more

This place is dope!! My wife ate lunch and loved it so much - she insisted me and our son go for dinner: the same day!! Staff is friendly and sincerely shows their appreciation for the business. The food is awesome!! Highly recommend the turf n surf burger and the hot honey chicken sandwich. After we finished dinner, we even got 2 plates to go for lunch the next day at home. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu! Support this gem! read more

Today I ordered a torta and tacos and there was no salsa, cilantro, onions included...third time that's happened. I've never left a complaint review and I feel terrible but I love this place and just hoping they fix these things. If I could go there myself and avoid these issues, I would, because eating there has always been great! Take out is dismal.

The food is what everybody raves about though. Their top seller is appropriately named "The Flaming Amy", your choice of protein with 'spicy' toppings, like jalapeños and the Flaming Amy salsa. In all honesty, it's not that hot. There is a lingering spicy note, but not what I would consider "Flaming Hot". Needed more salsa to even get that heat to linger. The chips are not salted either, which is a shame, bc the salsa bar is legit. Several good options, like the Pineapple Jalapeño and the Wasabi. The portion sizes are good too, for the price. Which is why this place got a better star rating. And they're a local staple. People seem to love this place - for a Wednesday afternoon, the place was quite busy. I'm not saying to NOT try this place, but if you want to "bring the heat", coming to "flaming" isn't where I'd turn.

I spent the entire meal swatting flies away from our plates, which made it very difficult to enjoy our food. As for the food itself, the blueberry hush puppies were amazing! Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was disappointing. I ordered the Biscuit Shack, and it was served on tough bread with a slice of cheese that was still cold, as if it had just been taken out of the refrigerator and placed on top. Two other dishes at our table also had eggshells hidden in the food. Overall, between the flies and the food quality issues, we likely won't be returning.

My husband and I were in the mood for some comfort food one evening and decided to grab takeout from On Thyme. We tried calling ahead, but couldn't get through on the phone. It was a little frustrating, but it's also a testament to how popular this place is! We ended up stopping by to place our order in person instead. Between the two of us, we ordered a burger, the Pow Wow Shrimp, Philly Egg Rolls, loaded cheese fries, and fried mushrooms. Honestly, this has become one of our favorite comfort food spots, and every visit reminds us why. The Pow Wow Shrimp is absolutely phenomenal every single time. It has just the right amount of spice--even for someone like me who has a pretty low tolerance for heat. It's flavorful without being overwhelming. The Philly Egg Rolls are easily one of my favorite comfort food dishes anywhere. They're always packed full of delicious filling, never skimpy on the ingredients, and cooked to crispy perfection. The loaded cheese fries are another favorite, topped with plenty of melty cheese, bacon, and green onions. The burger was juicy and flavorful, and while the fried mushrooms probably aren't my favorite in town, they're still a great option if that's your thing. They're large, crispy, and cooked well. That said, if I had to choose, I'd order the Pow Wow Shrimp and Philly Egg Rolls every single time. We also usually grab one of the fresh juices or lemonades from the cooler by the register. I can't remember which flavors we picked this time, but I know they were delicious, just like always. One thing that really stood out was how well everything traveled. Come in and enjoy sit back and let the kid in his staff do their thing. You won't be leaving hungry you won't be dissatisfied. You will come out of the place happier than when you entered.
