We had our roof done by On Top Roofing a couple of weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier. Our first appointment with them was December 22, 2025, and the roof was fully installed and completed by January 14, 2026. These guys are amazing. We worked directly with James, our sales consultant, and he answered every single question we had. Anytime we reached out, he responded in a timely manner and was so great to work with. The office staff was amazing as well -- everyone was helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the whole process. We also want to give a huge shout-out to Mark, our onsite crew manager, and the entire roofing crew. They were all so great to work with. The crew did an excellent job cleaning up each day, and Mark checked in with me almost every day during the project and again at the end to make sure we were completely happy with everything. We've already recommended them to a few friends, and even our neighbor behind us got a bid after seeing our roof being done. They ended up having their roof done too, and it was completed Friday, January 23rd, which is pretty awesome. The lines on our roof are perfect, and it truly looks so beautiful. If I ever need work on my roof, I will definitely call James frazier. We needed to have our roof inspected because we had just moved into a four-year-old townhouse with a membrane roof and had several questions about it. Before the appointment, he called to ask exactly what we were looking for so he could come prepared with the right equipment. That level of professionalism already stood out. During the appointment, I was impressed that he could answer all of my questions while also responding to my husband by phone--without losing focus. Once he was on the roof, he examined the entire area carefully, paying close attention to every element that could cause future problems. He even fixed a few minor issues on the spot that could have become bigger problems later. That was completely unexpected and greatly appreciated. The idea of a membrane roof was new to me, and he took the time to explain how it works. Afterward, I felt much more confident that our home will hold up well during the extreme Wasatch winters. Heather called not one time but two times, then left a message saying that I submitted a form on their website and did did I want an estimate. 1. I did not visit their website...EVER 2. I live in a condo and the HOA is responsible for my roof and just replaced it 1 year ago. 3. My phone is on the Do Not Call Registry. So she can not call me without a business relationship. If they use deceptive, dishonest and illegal methods to try to get business, then I will say that is the first step to how they do business. RUN away from people like this. read more

These guys are the biggest rip off in Park City. Convinced us to replace our roof and install new heat tape. This did not fix the issue caused from ice dams, which they promised it would. Had another company come out and look at the roof and heat tape. The schmucks from On Top used the cheapest, poorest quality heat tape yet charged us a premium. Stay away from this company, especially the owner - he's the biggest joke of them all!!! read more

When they encountered a serious framing issue which may have frustrated and de-railed another contractor, they were quick to identify options for solving the problem. First they put the wrong roof color on my house, then the decking material was substandard and leaked, they do not return telephone calls and most frustratingly at least ten times they've promised and PROMISED to come and fix the problems and don't show up or bother to call to explain. We had On Top Roofing replace our roof on our house. We worked with Dan Baker and he was terrific. Very responsive, answered all our questions and managed the entire process seamlessly. He was at the house almost daily and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We also had them put on new gutters and repair the heat tape. Roofing is very important in a place like Park City, Utah. I am originally from the East Coast where roofing is pretty simplistic in that having massive amounts of snow sit on your roof for extended periods of time is not something you need to consider. This is definitely not the case in Park City, Utah. Getting a quality roof product involves many facets, ie. shingles, stucco work, electrical, gutters, etc. In looking at our various options we had vendors bid on the various components but On Top Roofing stood out because they managed the entire process and provided a warranty on every component. As a homeowner, this is very important. If we ever have a problem (which we don't anticipate), by using On Top, I can make one contact and they will solve the problem for me regardless of what component fails. I found the company very professional to deal with and all of their various work crews were very courteous and really knew what they were doing. First-rate through all stages of the project! We replaced a severely worn asphalt shingle roof with full metal including the fascia. They also installed a new solar panel array. Jeremy and Eric were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and patient with my (admittedly) many and near-endless questions. Both install crews (roof and solar) were true craftsmen and cut no corners - very tight work. They were on-time, thorough, and meticulous with their clean-up. Though competitive with their bid, it was not the lowest. They are not trying to be the cheapest but are clearly trying (successfully) to be the best. A roof is too big of an investment to get it wrong - I would choose them again without hesitation. read more

On Top Roofing (and Brandon in particular) saved us during a nightmare re-roofing debacle = 100% HEROS! I called them cold after talking with four other roofers from Salt Lake. We specified a brand new shingle roof with two large standing seam metal areas with low slope. Other roofers were giving us confusing reasons why we shouldn't or should do the metal. Brandon came on site within two hours, climbed on the roof, took measurements, and communicated with me the entire time via text (my preference in a moment to make fast decisions). His thorough descriptions of why we could (and should) do the metal on the low slope areas in the PC climate left me confident to cancel on the other builder I'd already given a deposit to (I got all but $100 back! phew), and signed with On Top. They fit our roof in within two weeks, and did a gorgeous job! We love the combination of shingle and metal, and we're now working with them for our metal facia, soffit, gutters and downspouts to match. The metal was custom crafted in their warehouse in PC, and elevates our modern aesthetic so well. We're so excited for a low maintenance, high-quality roof at a great price (they beat out three of the SLC roofers bids, and was WAY better quality than the least expensive bid I'd gotten). 100% best choice we've made on our remodel so far! Those old, 1-star reviews are outdated. Maybe those folks worked with a different employee. CALL BRANDON. Update here to my Dec 2016 post...roof is still leaking to this date, Oct 2018, at random places. So I pulled some siding boards off and found that the OnTop crew had not properly installed flashing materials. So I contacted Dave, and was told that they would not honor the 5 year warranty that was in the contract that I paid-in-full on. What kind of business doesn't honor their own warranty? A lousy one, eh? read more

We had a metal roof installed. The wait was long but the installation was uneventful. Two years after installation and after a heavy snow fall, the snow rails failed and ripped the metal roofing on two different slopes of the roof. The company did not choose to cover this under warranty because they said that it was an "unusual" amount of snow. It cost $20,000 to repair it. The first repair skipped one section of the roof and had to be rescheduled. It took over two months to schedule the second repair. In my experience, they have been very late in returning calls or responding to getting the repair scheduled. You may be better off with a good shingle roof that does not require snow rails and with a different company that is more concerned about repairing their defective work. read more

When I asked for an estimate for roof repairs on our second home, they came in high, because they said a new hood was needed for the chimney. When I contacted a second company, they said they could repair the chimney hood for $1200 less. So I called On Top back to cancel my order; they said "no problem" - but then went out and did the work anyway (I was away from the property then) - and sent an invoice. Shocked, I called them and was met with defiance, stating they would place a lien on my house if I didn't pay within 3 days. With assistance from my attorney, they backed off - I paid them for the repair work they had done (even though I had cancelled the job, as the work they performed was done adequately), but not for the hood.
