Rarely am I impressed by accommodations, but I was duly impressed with the Acorn Inn. It was exactly the escape we needed after 16 months in isolation. Sheryl thinks of everything and could not be more hospitable. The grounds were impeccable and the bed in the Barn Suite was more comfortable than my own. My husband and I pulled into the driveway and parked in the charming backyard. Walking up, the front porch is just adorable! If it had been warmer, I would have loved to sit out and enjoy the porch. We were greeted immediately by the owner and she gave us a tour and showed us to our room. We stayed in the Ann Eliza suite, the only room with a balcony. It was beautiful when you first walk in. Fluffy comfortable bed and those sheets!! Like heaven to sleep in. Breakfast each day was delicious. As I mentioned, I can be a piggy, so it took all of my willpower to not ask for seconds and thirds! I actually wish we had a hot tub instead - there's nothing better than a warm hot tub on a cool night. There was an enclosed porch as well as a deck in the room. The bathroom was a little dated as far as style, but like I said it was huge. The property itself is large and very beautiful. The owners' son (I think he was 10) took us on a tour to see the dogs and goats.

Penny, the amazing new Innkeeper, is extremely personable and attentive and has renovated many of the rooms since she purchased the Inn. I was welcomed with hospitality and the accommodations were outstanding. My room was clean, absolutely huge, and the bathroom had a jetted tub with a picture window of the beautiful views! I watched the sun rise while soaking in the tub a couple of mornings and it was simply divine. The property is magnificent and the views are absolutely spectacular from every angle! The common areas are elegant, yet comfy and the dining area boasts floor to vaulted ceiling windows that frame the view beautifully. Perfect sitting areas to sit, chat, relax, and soak in the scenery. Every morning we were greeted with freshly ground coffee and were asked what we wanted for breakfast. My first morning I requested a "kitchen sink" omelet that Penny made with all fresh ingredients and it was absolutely delicious. The fresh bananas from the market were the best I'd ever had in my life. I enjoyed sitting at the bar chatting with Penny while she glided effortlessly through the kitchen. I am sure she would laugh to hear me say that, but it's true :) Penny helped us set up a wine and brewery tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. She recommended Kismet New American Bistro for an elegant dinner. I must say, she has excellent taste because this petite restaurant completely blew me away! The food was absolutely exquisite and the staff was extremely personable. Penny also recommended a short walk from Kismet to the Historic Naples Hotel for karaoke and to experience a little Naples nightlife. Everyone we met along the way was inviting and charming. Our visit to Naples would not have been as magical without Penny and her beautiful Vagabond Inn! I will definitely be visiting the Vagabond again....and again...

The hosts greeted us as friends and were very welcoming. We stayed in the "Hubbell" room" on the top floor at the front of the house facing Main Street. You could hear the traffic so if you're a light sleeper, you might request a room away from the front or use your white noise device like I do when I travel. The room (and whole house) was immaculate, cozy, and welcoming. Breakfast was gourmet peaches and cream stuffed French toast with fruit. The presentation was beautiful and tasted wonderful. I can't wait to come back and spend more time here. Even through the pandemic, our hosts maintained detailed social distance requirements while providing a very hospitable experience.
