I sold a dress here. I do not recommend them at all! I dropped my wedding dress off for them to sell a year ago. We agreed they would attempt to sell it for one year, if it didn't sell they would call me and ask if I wanted to pick up the dress or donate it to the store. 2 months ago, I called them to see if my dress sold. It had only been in the store for 10 months. They told me it had not sold, so my dress had been "donated" to the store! AKA, THEY would be trying to sell my dress and they would get the profits from it, although that is not what we agreed on. They told me I should have gotten a postcard in the mail to tell me that my dress had not been sold. That postcard never arrived. Basically they took my dress, donated it to themselves, and never even tried to sell it for a year. What a joke read more

I am sorry to say this about this store but it was a big disappointment I called first about a veil and was told to bring the vintage veil in. I travelled more than 20 miles to be told within 30 seconds that the veil was beautiful but they don't take anything more than 5 years old. I was not told that when I called. My daughter found the dress of her dreams here for $200 (never worn!) A seamstress at a boutique in Troy saw the dress later and thought the dress was valued at least at $3,000 to $5000. Patty, the owner, may not greet you with a big smile, but she truly does have a big heart. We learned that she and her husband volunteer for kids organizations and are very sweet people. Patty went over and above on alterations and the dress fit perfectly. Another seamstress quoted three times the cost to do much less. This is the second never-worn wedding dress we purchased here for our daughters and we couldn't be happier. read more

Sticking "bridal" or "formal" in front of the word gown shifts decimal points on a price tag. Searching for an affordable formal dress for a swanky affair without punching holes in my bank account brought up Once Again Bridal Shop, a shop specializing in resale and discounted wedding dresses. Once Again is really two stores. One sells new and used prom dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and cocktail gowns in sizes 0 to 22(ish). I saw labels like JS Collection, Night Moves, and a rare Jovani or two among their consignment stock, and did not recognize most of their new stock. The winter formal collections focused on contemporary designs, mostly mermaid and A-line gowns, in organza or satin. Little fit my needs for a floor-length ball gown, sadly, and I discounted those racks right away. Hunting from sizes 6 to 14 netted a lot of satin a-line bridesmaid dresses or blinged out, side-slit dresses. The second focuses on bridal. A $199 wall offers steep discounts on many dresses obtained from other stores. I found plenty of beautiful gowns, including a $5,000 Alfred Sung gown in need of beading repair (but well worth the investment if you are so inclined). Check the $199 wall with an eye for caution; I found a few pretty dresses with scratched embroidery, beading falling apart, or other blemishes and flaws. The other racks contain new and used dresses from the likes of Maggie Sottero, at prices running from $500 up to several thousand. I admired one called "Candlelight" and shook my head at the $1,300 price tag; that'll get me to Europe twice over so no luck. I think this store caters more to the bridal set or teenagers at homecoming/prom, but not much room in between. The salesgirl offered to set aside anything I found in a fitting room. She helped me with a pretty pintucked red bridal gown that held potential, but it turned out to have a 7' long train. She suggested they could do alterations on site but wasn't quite able to help me find anything suitable for what I was after. read more

I went to Once Again Bridal Shop to sell two bridesmaids dresses. While I was there, I also wanted to look at shoes and accessories for my own wedding in October. The customer service was extremely poor. No greeting when I walked through the door and no direction as to where to go or who to talk to about my bridesmaid dresses. When I finally figured that part out, I was forced to wait until the sales associate was available to look at my dress (which was actually fine because I was shopping while I was waiting). The sales associate declined both of my dresses (which were both current fashion, in top notch condition, and had only been slightly worn). She also proceeded to tell me (in a very rude tone) that my one dress had not been dry cleaned, even though it was clearly in a dry cleaner's bag. This was enough for me to put down my pending purchases and walk out. Bottom line: If you are looking for a place to find a wedding gown for cheap. This is the place to go. BUT if you are looking for the "whole experience" of buying a wedding gown and feeling like a princess for a day, this is not the place to go. I stopped by Once Again Bridal after being engaged for only about a week - I have a short engagement and figured I better start working on a dress fast. Being only 5 ft tall and petite makes for a LOT of alterations on any dress I would get. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Once Again Bridal. Desaree greeted my friends and me when we walked in for my appointment and showed us where to look for dresses in my size and budget. She got a room started for me immediately; it wasn't particularly crowded (only one other customer). For someone who hates wearing dresses, I'm pretty good at getting them on by myself, but Desaree was there to make sure everything was clipped properly to give me a good idea of what the dress would look like once it was altered. The selection in the store is quite wide -- they have new dresses with tags still on them and dresses that have already been worn. You'll find everything from designer brand (e.g., Allure, Alfred Angelo) to custom made/private label in every silhouette. Prices are reasonable, in my opinion, too. Definitely would recommend for brides looking for a dress in a hurry or with a tight budget. read more

OK I must say the first two time I went here I would of only gave it one star. Staff was rude. On there cell phone. One brought her kids in. Took more time talking to each other than helping me!!! BUT... I went in a few days ago and figured screw it 3rd times a charm... so seeing that I had the plan two weddings and have to separate wedding dresses due to my ex husband being a complete Butthead... I had my heart set on finding dress under 200 my first wedding. Then spending the big bucks on my Roostertail wedding dress. So my mom helped me keep my blinders on and reluctantly direct me to the clearance section for the dresses 300 and under... In the back of my head I kept thinking I would not find anything I like and kept peeking over at the blinged out dress on the mannequin. but being the great mom my mom is she said "we will find something trust me."and trying to avoid an argument and trusting her we picked about six dresses from that section. I tried the first four on...Nope! Either too small too big too short or too ugly....Then thr 5th dress... It turned out fitting me perfect almost....creepy perfect it was a little beat up but supposedly never worn. They do alterations there and we'll fix the beads that were little loose and will accommodate me on my request to put straps on it. Not only did I find this perfect dress but I found the perfect shoes, that match the dress in my exact size! along with the jacket that went with dress! as well as the purse!!! I am so happy with this dress but it only cost me $250 for everything including the shoes the purse the jacket everything! I still need to go for my alterations but I'm keeping my hopes up it's almost like it was meant to be and I like it so much I don't even think I'll buy a second dress for my fancy blinged out rooster tail wedding! read more

THEY SABOTAGED MY DRESS ALTERATIONS OVER THE EXTRA $20 SHE TRIED CHARGING OVER BULLSHIT ASS WORK JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES I was going to give them a 5 star all the way up until the day before my wedding. I had a short engagement and found my dress the first day I went shopping from here, the third store I went to. I had a pleasant experience with all the employees and had patti do my alterations. I had a lace up back and bustle added on my first fitting. My mother was with me and asked about the straps because she knows a little about sewing and knew by changing the zipper to a lace up it was going to make the straps different. Patti told her that she will measure it at my second fitting once the lace up is complete. Before I left my first fitting I got a receipt of the work she was going to do with the price she was going to charge. My second fitting was about 10 days before my wedding and my mother didn't join me my sister did. Patti measured the straps and under the arm the dress was popping out from changing the back, it was bothering me so much I asked her if she could fix it and she said yes I can add darts. Measured those and then we left. I will take part responsibility for not asking if or how much she was going to charge me for it but she had led me (and my mom) to believe the straps alteration was included so I will take responsibility for not asking about the darts but she should have also informed me of the cost. At my second fitting she told me that because i wouldn't be able to pick it up until the Thursday before my wedding she asked since she was pressing it did I need to try it on. At this point I had such a good and trusting experience with them I said no I wouldn't need to try it on because I did appreciate her getting it done in a short time I didn't want to have to rush a few days before my wedding. When I went to pick my dress up I did not make it on time Thursday my mom got there after 8 and they were closed so we went back on Friday. When I got there I looked at the darts and once side was tucked under, the other OVER?!? I know NOTHING about seeing but I know you NEVER tuck it upwards because the garment is so heavy it creates a crease. I didn't even have to look at it a second to notice the huge indentation in the breast area on one side. So the employees called her and she said she would fix it. My mom was about to pay and saw an extra $20 charge on alterations for the straps (that were already on the dress and the darts that weren't done right) and did not feel she needed to pay $106 when she agreed to $86 and especially since the day before my wedding we had to have the stress of the dress not being right. It was like nobody even checked the dress before they were giving it to us. Patti yelled at her employee saying she'd lose her job if she didn't collect the extra $20 so my mom and I left without paying for it and we're going to return later that day after she fixed the darts. At about 3pm I'm getting my nails done (day before my wedding) and patti calls asking what I wanted to speak to her about. Well I said my mom wanted to talk to her about the alterations and her exact response was "I have no business with your mother, what can I do for you" in the rudest way. So I explained everything and she said "don't worry about it because you're not worth the argument, I fixed the dart on the right vreast your dress is ready for pick up" so all I said was thank you and hung up. Now where she was wrong is her business was with my mom because my mom paid for my dress. My mom went Saturday morning (wedding day) get my dress. When I put my dress on the straps that she tried to charge me for WERE NOT DONE. later in the night there was only one bustle loop in the middle of the dress the other two looked like someone cut the loop right in the middle and the middle bustle button ended up popping off because the other two sides were up. SHE SABOTAGED MY DRESS ALTERATIONS OVER THE EXTRA $20 SHE TRIED CHARGING OVER BULLSHIT ASS WORK!!! Knowing I wouldn't be able to try my dress on until the wedding. So extremely disgusting and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone even if they were giving free alterations. How childish. I got the pictures to prove it. I've been to Once Again for several of my friends weddings. One of my friends actually found a dress that she had loved at David's Bridal a few hours earlier for half the price and never been worn! And now, it's finally my turn to look for my wedding gown. I found a couple that I liked, but the girl who was working there stuck a dress in our mix and it was GORGEOUS! Actually, they had just gotten that dress in that morning (never been worn) and she wanted to see it on a bride and she thought it would look good on me. And she was right! The problem was it was more than we wanted to pay. Because it was THE dress for me, she worked with me and called the owner of gown and was able to get it in the price range for the gown!! After a change in our wedding destination, I needed a more appropriate dress as well. I had found a dress at David's Bridal (where customer service was hit or miss depending on the day) that was big and full and I loved it for our Frankenmuth wedding plans. Thankfully, I decided to wait a few weeks before buying it, because we changed our plans to a much more private, destination wedding. We will now be getting married in Tennessee this summer. Obviously a big, heavy dress will not work. I went to Once Again and they were so nice and helpful. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the doors and checked on after a few minutes of going through racks. Some of the reviews are calling the multiple prices on their tags a bad thing, but I love that they list if the dress has been worn or not (I was looking for never worn) and I love that they have dates showing price drops! There is such a variety of wedding dresses to choose from and the workers were so nice. I didn't expect help since it's a resale/consignment shop but was happily surprised that the sales lady not only set up the fitting room, but also offered any help I needed. No, it's not the same as an expensive bridal shop... it's a consignment shop. My sales lady made me feel good in the dresses I tried on, listened to my concerns, discussed if the dresses could be altered, had me stand on the pedestal in front of the mirror instead of by the little mirror I was looking in, etc. We've dealt with other sales ladies there and they were helpful even when I showed up just before closing to make a payment on my dress. Oops, I though they were open later. I offered to come back the next day and she told me "No problem at all, you're already here." Some of the dresses are higher priced than others just like any store so make sure to give yourself a little time to look through the racks! I found my wedding dress and have been back with our daughters for dresses. I recommend this store to anyone that is willing to spend some time going through racks for a better price on a dress. NOT worth it. They sell some dresses for cheap but most are the SAME price if not more then any other wedding place. They only give you 6 weeks to pay off a whole dress. $600 dress in 6 weeks! The dresses have like three different prices on the tag so you have to figure it out. The people that work there don't really care they just hang the dresses in your room and that's it. read more

This place was a great find. The prices were very reasonable! My budget for my dress was no more than $300. I was able to find quite a few dresses within my budget. The alterations are very reasonable as well. The ladies were great. They were helpful and friendly. What I really liked was they were not all over me. They had a few suggestions when I asked but let me browse with ease. They didn't try and pressure me into anything and were truthful when it came to how the dress actually looked on. I wasn't told that every dress I tried on looked amazing or beautiful, which happened with a couple of other places I went.... but when I did find my dress they were very helpful with questions I had about alterations and finding a little something to add a little something to the dress! The service was good, although they never pulled out clamps to help cinch in the dresses that were too big. I joined Yelp soley so I could write a review about Once Again Bridal. First off, it's a consignment shop, so you should expect to find a really random mix of dresses here - most are awful and a few are nice and there also are some brand new dresses as well. Basically if you are on a budget and don't mind fishing through a bunch of garbage, go for it. However, the real problem with this shop was the TERRIBLE customer service. We recieved a half-assed greeting upon entering the shop and pretty much left to ourselves. The salesgirl told us to bring her any dresses that my friend would like to try on and she would hold them in a fitting room. My friend found two dresses she really liked and wanted to try on. When she went to the fitting room only one dress was there. Then we noticed another bride wearing the dress my friend had picked out and given to the salesgirl. When my friend asked the employee if she had given the dress to another customer she told her, "Yeah, but it wouldn't have fit you anyway" in an extremely rude tone and walked away! The dress was a size 6 and my girlfriend is about an 8. So she wasn't trying to squeeze herself into a dress several sizes too small - also considering the dresses have already been worn and altered, you can't be too sure on the EXACT size without trying it on. The rudeness of the salesperson really upset my friend, so we left the shop without looking any further, went to a REAL bridal shop where we had excellent customer service with a bridal consultant and found a beautiful NEW dress for the SAME PRICE as the used dress. As a matter of fact the second dress I tried on was the one i bought and I couldn't wait to wear it on my wedding day. I went to this place out of the blue to check some bridal gowns out, some of them seemed a bit pricey but I continued to look. I found one dress that I liked but didn't absolutely "love" so I am in debate. It was brand new with tags and their altering price is a lot cheaper than other places. The staff was friendly and helpful I enjoyed being there! They went down on the price of the dress too so now I am considering it. I will definitely be back there to either get that dress or to check out anything new that they have. With the price of the dress they clean it for free and fix any missing beading (if there is). If you want a good deal you should go to this place, yes you have to look but you never know what you will find. The dress I was looking at was around 1200 with the price tag. This is the best bridal shop I have ever visited!! They sell bridal gowns that have either never been worn or have only been worn once (and are in PERFECT condition). The selections and styles available are awesome. They have outstanding service and the prices are WONDERFUL!! I was a little hesitant about going because the shop is listed under the category of "resale", but I was so pleasantly surprised when I walked in. They have EVERYTHING that a bride could want!! I purchased the most beautiful gown for my upcoming wedding for a fraction of the cost (and I mean a very, very tiny fraction) of what I would have paid for it else where. And if you're on a tight budget (aren't we all?) they have a huge rounder of beautiful dresses in every color, size, and design for $199 or less!! Absolutely perfect!! The staff is kind and extremely patient (I tried on eight dresses, and even after I was done they were still smiling and friendly). Avoid this store! The saleslady was so rude and snotty! I couldn't believe after a simple greeting to her that she looked at me like I was imposing on her by bringing in formals before she even looked at them. After going through number 3 of the 10 dresses I brought in she stares me down and in the rudest tone asks "have you been here before?" I must have had a puzzled look on my face after saying 'no' because she ranted that 'IT WAS JUST A QUESTION THAT ISN'T TOO HARD TO ANSWER!'. I couldn't believe she was speaking to a customer in such a disrespectful tone. I thought it an odd question since I never set foot in the store before (and trust me never will again!) She was willing to take some of the dresses and rejected others (totally expected this when dealing with a consignment store-that's the stores choice to keep or reject), but after her rudeness, I would never do business with this store again. While she was going through my dresses, I looked at a few formal dresses on the racks and the quality was pretty awful. Shame because I have a wedding coming up that I was looking for a little jacket to go over my formal and had intended to shop once the dress transaction was complete. Didn't even want to give one cent to this store due to the very poor attitude and customer service. I politely asked for all my items back, including the ones that they wanted to sell, and left. I have done business with Once Again for several years. I have bought and sold many of my evening dresses there through the years. Once Again has always found that equal balance for me between customer and consignor satisfaction. When I brought my $600 dress there to sell, I was worried that its pristine condition would be compromised by them allowing someone too large for it to try it on thus damaging it. They assured me that when someone wants to try a gown on no matter what the initial cost, they have both the customer's and my best interest at heart. The sales lady continued to explain to me that since they have no initial investment in the dress, that they feel its their job to keep the condition of it like it was brought to them. As well as it does them no good to have someone try on a dress they can't make fit them, have them fall in love with it only to be broken hearted that it can't work for them. It made me convinced even further that I was making the right decision to do business with them. I have never had an issue with Once Again, and as long as they continue to look at their business from both sides, I don't think I ever will. read more
