I was called back within a few minutes and told that they were booked but the HB office was available at 3pm. Thanks but no thanks because it was too far and too late. I was called back within 5 minutes to say that they would take her in Brea and to just come down. Obviously its quite embarrassing when your child has lice you feel lost not even knowing how the situation came about. Combing my daughter hair this morning I discovered she had lice again for the 3rd time in the last 6 months so I became frantic and decided I would try taking her to the lice professionals. After calling a few different places mind you it's a Sunday. I found this gem made an appointment for the same day which was very convenient for me. Upon arriving we were kindly greeted by Krystal, as she finished up with her client she offered us water and chips. As a single dad with a teenager that has lice, I didn't know what to do. First thing was to go to the store and buy something over the counter. When I had looked up where to get it, Once In A Licetime time popped up. I called and told them I have no idea what to do, I wanted to just shave my daughter's hair lol. The staff was very pleasant and told me and my daughter that we didn't have to bomb the house with chemicals. They are taking care of getting the lice out and I don't have to do any of that. Not happy with customer service. I spent $300 a week ago for treatment for my daughters. Went back 7 days later and paid another $25 for a check and was told no further treatment needed. Today I checked her and found nits. Called back and was told she should have had another treatment and I will need to pay another $75. Nope. You wasted my time and money. This can be done for $30 at home. The girl who checked our hair also used same nit comb for both girls. Lost my business! read more

So, our visit was the result of a sudden and of course unexpected infestation. Our youngest started with an annoying itch and upon closer inspection we found trouble. We scheduled a same day appointment for the family after finding the shop on yelp. We definitely didn't want to risk missing something with otc treatments. Our visit started a little rocky as we didn't exactly receive a warm welcome. The person helping us was a tad irked that we didn't confirm the appointment by returning her call. I just wanted to say that the service we received was absolutely AWESOME!!! I called on Friday afternoon asking for a Friday evening appointment and was accommodated. I had to go to the Brea office but was okay with that since it was last minute. Georgette was covering the store that day and she was such a BLESSING!!! She handled me and my 3 kids like a pro and was so informative about everything. She was very patient with the kids and myself...I must've asked a million questions. Raylene and Maude came to the rescue tonight when we called Once In A Licetime. I noticed my son had lice while he was getting a haircut. Upon checking my two other kids, I discovered that they all had lice. I called Once In A Licetime at 6:00 at night, and they were kind enough to squeeze the kids and myself in after hours. All four of us had treatments (oh yes, I have lice too). Even though we are out way past our bedtime on a school night, these ladies made this as painless as possible and educated us on what to do. My daughter needed professional lice removal after I tried twice at home but the over the counter products didn't work. Raylene at Once in a lice time was great!!! Don't bother trying to use products at home they don't work and they cost almost as much as getting it done professionally. Well worth the money for piece of mind.
