The first time we went there was a discount for the time of day we went for, but that was discontinued. Price is a little pricy but I'm also not very familiar with how much kid haircuts are nowadays. First time we went my son was shy of 12 months and then we went again around 16 months. He cried both times but they were patient and took their time. I plan to go again and see how it goes.

I figured they wanted to make money since I would be paying $90 for all 3 haircuts before tip. In retrospect, if there was a language barrier or misunderstanding they should have spoke to me in Spanish which I do speak as well, their English isn't good. Keep that in mind when trying to communicate with them. When I got there the lady with short dark hair was busy, so they passed my precious 3 year old boy with shoulder length hair to the man that works there. My 3 year old has been there twice before and sits still and is well mannered. He cut my child's hair so poorly and left scissor marks and when we got outside there was a cut on his skin by his side burns. Mom's let me tell you I was upset! No one cuts my kid. This just the tip of the iceberg, midway through my 1st child's haircut my 2nd child had his haircut by the lady it was fast and they were done before my 3year olds haircut bc the man clearly didn't know how cut hair Finally, the two were done and I pointed out the marks on my toddlers hair. The lady just walked away didn't care and started calling for this adult man in line that it was his turn to get his hair cut. I said what about my daughter? She THREW HER ARMS IN THE AIR ROLLED HER EYES AND SAID "oh my god another one?!" I said yes when I called I booked an appointment for 3 children. Reader, she had the audacity to yell back "I understand!" Clearly she didn't. I said "Nevermind we're leaving" And when I said leaving I meant for good. I will NEVER go back there. Absolutely horrible experience. My daughter was sad she didn't get her haircut so I made it up to her and took her to Great Clips in Whittier (Araceli helped us, she was super nice) *************** 7/22 Since I can't reply to the owners response. I'll just edit my review as they respond. I called to reschedule or cancel my appointment for another day because I wouldn't be able to make it at 3:30pm. They greedily said no they would be able to accommodate me and take me in at 4pm. I didn't push it, they insisted. I let them know I had 3 kids. So tell me Ms. Clara since you're saying each child take 30 minutes and you are saying you close at 5pm. Why did you insist on me coming in and then angrily complain when you had clients to service? Also, why are you saying I should have spoke Spanish if you're insisting you don't have any troubles speaking and communicating with clients in English? Hmm seems to me there's a lot of contradictory statements in your rebuttal. Now let's address, the want to fix it part. While they were cutting his hair they said they could keep cutting it to "fix" it. Absolutely not, as they already cut my babies hair too short to begin with and cut my baby's skin. What else could have been done to fix this hair cut? Balding him? Pass. I had to get him out of that situation. The man who was cutting his hair the whole time was asking the owner for help because he had no clue how to cut hair. This is who you hire to cut children's hair? Really? I should have checked that man's barber/cosmetology license.

There were two ladies both consumed with the one and only customer that was there. No one acknowledged me at walk in. I patiently wait at the front counter. After a minute or so, I insert myself and walk further into their shop. I know at this point the ladies see me but still, no acknowledgement. I was growing frustrated and debating saying something. Instead, I decided to walk out after wasting more than 5 minutes. I understand business owners and service workers have a tough job and can be very busy, but a mere acknowledgement or "I'll be right with you" would have been just fine with me. I miss the Family Cutz I remember of the past... for now we will take our money elsewhere.

She explained the best way to comb and take care of my son's hair. And in a short 15 minutes, he was done! He looked great! The best part for him, was the lollipop he got afterwards. We're a few weeks from our appointment and he is still getting compliments on his new haircut. Lorena is the best, and is wonderful with kiddos. We will be back for every one of his haircuts, and will be bringing my younger son when the time comes.

I now work Sunday's so I'm struggling to find a new hair salon. I looked at reviews of cookie cutters and picked Shumil (not my first choice based on reviews but available when I needed). When Shumil entered, she was on her phone. No greeting - no acknowledgment. 5 minutes past appointment time, she was still on the phone. She finally acknowledged our existence and told my daughter to have a seat. No smiles, no hello, no how are you. No ounce of pleasantness. At that point I was debating on just walking out... I should have listened to my gut. Shumil asked me how I wanted my daughter's haircut and I told her I wanted a long bob, (but u-shaped) and that I wanted the back of her hair at her shoulders with the front at her neckline. I explained that I needed it long enough to put my daughter's hair into ponytails daily as she does gymnastics. I never mentioned bangs at all. She quietly and sullenly went about cutting my baby girls hair. She looked irritated and unhappy. She never attempted to make any conversation or make me feel comfortable at all. At one point, she asked my daughter to stand up and resumed cutting her hair. I was surprised and did not feel comfortable with her standing - my daughter moves a lot (she is a spaz) and this lady has scissors in her hand. Why did the chair not move up and down like a regular salon? This was not safe practices. After 2 minutes of my daughter standing, I asked Shumil if she was going to be standing the whole time - because if so, I was going to end the haircut. I was extremely nervous the whole time she was standing. Shumil replied that she just has to get the back of her hair straight (again, the chair doesn't move up?) After another minute or two of standing, she allowed my daughter to sit back down. I don't think making a child stand is appropriate/safe and at no point should it be allowed. After her hair was done, I was shocked - my daughter had bangs at her ears (which I never asked for) and her hair was cut to her neck - not at her shoulders like I had explicitly mentioned. I wouldn't be able to even tie all of her hair up. I know it's just hair and it will grow back, but it is not what I asked for and the experience was horrible. I will be returning to Fireflies and taking Sunday off when I need to get my child's hair cut. The salon management needs to reevaluate their hair dressers practices and make sure they are operating a safe salon. The hairdressers should be polite and kind and reassure the parents. They should also listen to how the parents would like the haircut to be. I have a picture attached from her first haircut at Fireflies - cut exactly how I wanted by a hairdresser who listened to me. The second picture is of the hairdresser cutting my daughter's hair however she wanted it cut - without my opinion being taken into account. Stay away from this place.

I love this place! My daughters and I all had lice, recurring issue at the school they got lice 3 times and finally being exposed I got it too. First time in my life I ever had it and I had no one to get my nits out. Once I arrived and started talking to bailey and Susan and bailey began servicing my head I realized how thorough they were and even tho I had done my daughters hair at home I wanted to make sure they were done well so I called my fiance and had them come over too. They treated my hair, and my daughters. Prices were reasonable and I left feeling relieved. Hoping when we go back Thursday for the re-check that we are all still lice free ;) but seeing all the other reviews I'm hopeful we we will be. These woman are so knowledgeable and so kind and have snacks for my lil ones! They were gentle with my girls nappy hair..Lol since my kids are half black their hair isn't the easiest to go through but they did a great job. I couldn't be happier with the service we all received and thank god that these women were here to help us get rid of the lice because there was no way I could do it on my own! ! I am located in Ohio. I had used absolute clear lice enzyme before at a local clinic. However they closed down and no other place offered shipping. After spending $300+ on OTC head lice shampoo and nearly destroying my daughter's and my own hair. I miraculously found magic hands! They offer free shipping. I ordered the complete pack. I was surprised that I recived a text the next day asking for a swap of scents because the one I picked was out of stock. Which I thought this was excellent customer service. I then got my products and had a question so I texted the question and recived a phone call from the owner she took about 20 minutes explaining the appropriate application and advising me on how to treat my son who is biracial and has type3c hair. Everything worked out perfectly. I didn't damage his curls and I pulled tons of nits a dead bugs from ONE treatment. Nix didn't do a thing, same with Rid...nothing. I am relieved after 2 months of treating I feel like my kids are lice free...and my son is happy that this didn't ruin his beautiful hair. We Love the Service and care we received with the lovely ladies at Magic Hands! This is the very first time we have had to address this issue of pesky lice friends invading our lives. I am a mother of 2 girls and when my older daughter contracted it and was sent to the office at school I didn't know what to do. Our trusted family pediatrician recommended the over the counter treatments so we tried them but they did not work and were really expensive. Bailey was able to fit us in the same day. I'm so grateful to have a local Long Beach Lice Removal Salon I called last night for my two girls and was scheduled fast and easy first thing in the morning today. Since I was freaking out because my toddler had head lice meaning my 8 year old had to pass these little nasty bugs over to her sister I can't remember her name but she was friendly and She made sure to explain everything overall made the process fast I hope I don't ever need these services again but I will definitely come back if needed and I recommend this place 100% oh and it's a must to buy the products and that magical comb they use! Magic Hands was terrific with my grandson. He visits his mother on a court-ordered bi-weekly basis, which is where he gets these little critters. When I come to the Magic Hands, they removed his lice in one session. We were able to set up a bi-weekly check to see if my grandson had bugs for a couple of months. Baily was very kind, and check him for those darn lice. She was also able to give me a necessary report if he had lice or not. I was very grateful. If or when this was to happen again. I called Sharrion James Salon explained my request AND that I was traveling in a few days for my Birthday & Christmas events - HELP! The gal that answered was very kind and assigned Maggie to the task. My request was to begin a transition to gray as I was growing tried of coloring every 3 +/- weeks I had a dark brown color right now. Maggie was able to fit me in THE SAME DAY 6pm! When I arrived I thought the Salon was closed and she surely made a mistake of saying 6pm - Nope! Maggie welcomed me in, reviewed my hair, explained the process and went to work! I had never done anything like this and put my trust in her experience and recommendations... OH MY GOD I could not believe how BEAUTIFUL my hair came out! I am so Pleased and Grateful Maggie was available at such short notice and did such a Wonderful job. I debated doing the "at home route", no, not with chemicals, but with all natural products. But even the natural products can burn your scalp and cannot be a good experience, with possible days of treating and hoping the little pests are gone. I would say Happy Hunting, but I wouldn't count on it....... Thanks to my friend, I found Shannon at Once in a Licetime. She was able to give me a same day appointment, and I left feeling relaxed AND with an awesome hair style to boot. She has two locations (Lake Forest & Corona del Mar). She also does home visits, and instructs you on preventative measures. One thing I realized is that our community does not proactively educate parents and children on lice, until there has been an infestation. Good news ~ I asked Shannon if she is able to visit my child's local school and daycare to educate on the prevention and treatment of lice - of course she said YES!!! She also has some awesome products in her stores or online at Amazon.

My wife has exclusively gone to this spa and she has picked up a toenail fungus. At first, we thought her big toe got bitten by a spider. We went back to the salon, and I did a quick look to see if I saw one of those sanitizing machines. I didn't see one. The staff are great and so incredibly friendly. But I don't think we'll be going back. Now we need to see her doctor to get medication to treat the fungus before it spreads to her other toes.

I've only gone to Brenda because once I find a good esthetician I try to stick with them! She's the sweetest! She makes you feel comfortable, she listens to what you want and I'm always pleased with the outcome! My only gripe is that I wish she worked more days! Hence why I only gave 4 instead of 5 stars. I believe she only works two days a week. I'd recommend this location and definitely recommend Brenda!
