I have gotten some wonderful clothes here over the past few years. Take the time to look closely and there are even new clothes on the racks. It is a great deal but often quite crowded. Do not go on the weekend. They have shoes, toys, books and jackets. I have stopped taking things in to sell as they take so few pieces and it is not clear what season they take when. If you do sell try to take it in when it is not crowded - I seemed to have more luck when they had more time to spend on it. With how fast kids grow its worth the trip to dig for some good clothes. read more

I generally like Once Upon a Child and have shopped here so many times for 2 of my kids clothes. Today, at the 2 Notch location I arrived with my first bin of clothes around 1pm to try the buy on the spot- the counter had a sign that it was closed. When I inquired if this was typical the attendant said "yes, if we have met our quota for the day". I drove 30 minutes here so I'm not pleased this is not advertised. read more

Management at this location is horrible. They make up their own rules and when you question it, they state it's on the website. It's not. I took a whole bin of new nerf guns that my son never played with and Hot Wheel Garages. They refused to take it because it didn't have a car or bullet with it. I've bought nerf guns and such an NO ACCESSORY has ever been attached to it. They decide on bin limits when the website doesn't state it. Rude staff. They also don't take new stuff because it's "worn or not in season" but then have clothes with stains, holes, and very worn hanging down the aisles. BUT their website does say they take every season all year. Interesting There is one employee that is always soooo sweet. She used to work at the Olive Garden. She is very pleasant. Actually the only nice employee there. It just sucks when you spend a lot of money at a place and they just treat people rudely. I wouldn't waste my time returning to this location. This store is a rip off. You don't get close to what your items are worth. They act as though they are doing you a favor giving you anything for them. I took in a 75.00 bassinet and some new clothes with the tags still on them and only got 19.00. read more

I took two huge baskets worth at least $300 filled with clothes and shoes. All in amazing condition or new. They took pretty much everything out of one basket and everything out the other and gave me only $19 on high end pieces. Not to mention I was interested in buying some clothes as my little has outgrow all her clothes, I had a buggy full of clothes from Carters up to a few smock pieces I found, when the ladies working saw I was looking at smocks, they took them all off shelves and hid them behind counter so that I couldn't buy any. When I asked to see a dress, the lady huffed and puffed, slung it in my hand and walked off all mad. Then when I stated I wanted to buy it she got even more mad. Now mind you I took two baskets in that were worth $300 and only got $19. I turned around and bought $215 worth of clothes after they took $19 off because my littles need clothes. The treatment I got was absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. As the shopper I am very disappointed, these workers should want sell items not hide them from customers. read more

Dropped off 40+ pieces, they gave me $10. All cleaned, folded nicely, and current fashion. Cashier would not let me use the 20% coupon after receiving the $10. They kept my hamper of unaccepted clothes and had to come back into the store to get it. Very unpleasant staff saying "they don't make the rules" when trying to use my 20% off coupon. Great consignment store! They are picky about what they buy but they are fair. Employees are great and explain to customers how process works. The employees are extremely patient and willing to help at any point. Be careful to not take and strollers or toys that have been recalled. Check your equipment before hauling it in. Love this store! I have spent so much time and money here! We always find more than was on my list and I love it. We can find new to us things at this children's thrift store. From toys to clothes they have just about everything a kid could want! They also buy from me things I don't want laying around my house anymore! They have lots of clothes and shoes for kids up to size 14 and a few 16's. The only issue I have is waiting for someone to ring you up at the cashier. Standing a while at a register for someone to see me, although they are all right there. Also, sometimes they have really long lines but no where to really stand in line so lots of cutting in front of people. They always seem to be friendly though. I also wish they could notify us by text or something when our clothes are done when we sell. I have come back at the time scheduled and waited an hour and a half over that time. And if its done earlier, it would be nice to come back in then. read more

I am so glad we found this place. they always have a great selection and the staff is always helpful. which doesn't always happen... I don't make much money but at least I know I can come here and my son can have clothes that are clean and hole free for cheap. I haven't sold things here mostly because I'm saving for my next kid, but I am looking forward to using that too. You won't regret at least checking this place put. Terrible experience at this place trying to sell my stuff. Employees beyond rude. I took a playpen and in a very rude manner they told me to assembly it myself. We were selling a lot of equipment in excellent condition and they took only a 1/4 of it and only give us a ridiculous amount for it. So I took my stuffs back and did not get the money cause I found it insulting. It was very aggravating to see how this place takes advantage of the sellers by giving them almost nothing for their stuff and then they take those same items and sells them as almost new.Way to do business taking advantage of the small people... I sell my stuff here alot but I will not buy anything from here. I bought a pair of pants for my son who never wore them and a couple weeks when I went to sell them back they wouldn't take them because they were stained but I bought them just like that from them. Also they do not have good organization when it comes to people waiting in line. They tell you your stuff will be ready in 5 min. But it isn't it is more like 15 min. They need to fix this read more

I've been here multiple times. Like all consignment shops it can be hit or miss with the products. I can say the store is clean but always messy because of he amount of items they usually have. There have been times you can hardly get past the front door to shop. When searching for clothes you can find everything from Walmart to Janie and Jack but you really have to inspect the clothes, I almost bought a pair with tags completely stained and didn't realize it. The staff is nice and I've enjoyed selling them items. The only reason I gave them three stars vs for or five is due the the inconsistent quality of clothing they buy/sell and the cluttered store which makes shopping more difficult. read more

Harbison blvd location! Never shop here. They'll accuse you of stealing if you have a baby belly and then embarrass you in front of the entire establishment by making you pull your shirt up. Then try to bribe you with coupons for embarrassing you. Owners should really clean up store and staff it's so crappy. read more

This is a great place as far as some price go. some things are overpriced for being a second hand store. They run some amazing sales, if they honor the ad/coupon that they send you. I had one two weeks ago,that was sent by them, that I asked before I shopped if that was still good, and when we went to check out they would not honor it. Today while shopping the clearance sale, the assistant manager accosted me in front of the store and accused me of stealing. She said her employee saw me put cloths in my pants and under my shirt, and demand to see my pants, pockets and under my shirt. There was nothing in my fitted cloths, nor any where to even hide anything. I had done nothing wrong, nor even anything suspicious. She did this in front of the store, in front of other customers. What she did is actually illegal. I will never be shopping any of these stores again, after being a customer for many years. She never even apologized. Just offered $10 in coupons, the to pay for the $15 clearance bag I was going to buy to "make up" for what she referred to as a misunderstanding. They always have something I'm looking for for my girls to wear. I got a ton of baby stuff there for my newborn as well. It is cramped in there, so I don't recommend going during peak hours. However, the store is clean, the employees are super nice, and you can always find what you need(along with a few things you don't.) I'll definitely be back. read more

the clothes are good quality at good prices. my only issue is that when they put things on sale they use a stamp that sometimes rubs onto the items and they write on the bottoms of the shoes with permanent marker (for pricing). Very quick and easy way to make extra money, trade clothes, and clean out the old clothes in your kids closet.I love their same day selling process. Drop off your unwanted kids clothes, toys, and etc off with them...of corse your items need to be freshly laundred/ cleaned in a box or bin. They will give you a time to be back to pick up your quote. When you come back to pick up your quote they will have the items they would like to purchase from you in one of their own bins and they will pass back any of your unwanted items back to you. You dont have to accept the quote and you can take some items back while selling the rest to them that they wanted. Twenty dollars and under they give you cash and Twenty dollars and over you recieve a check. You can opt for score credit or trade(same day and you dont have to pay taxes on whatever your qoute amount is for) as well. I personally like the ease of the same day process. I say you recieve about 30% of what they sell it for and 50% on equip. priced over twenty five dollars. read more

My daughter took some strollers and other baby clothes to the Columbia store today and was met with rude, inconsiderate, snobbish clerks. They never offered her to help get her stuff in the store, place it where it needed to be and generally ignored her. One clerk was talking to a male customer and told him he could take her from this job. She said she did not like her job anyway. I wouldn't recommend this store to buy or sell anything. The store is wonderful. There is always a great selection, excellently organized. My only qualm is the space within. During sales or even just during the busy hours of the day, the store becomes quite crowded, having little room to move freely through out the store. If someone is in the aisle you walk in, there is no moving past them. You must walk out and around into another aisle because there's no space for 2 carts to be side by side, and these carts are quite petite. The sales and clothing are reasonably priced and perfect for the bargain shopper, like myself. I hope this is helpful! read more

This place is ridiculous. They are constantly changing their business rules. Call a day ahead to find out when they quit taking clothes the next day, they tell you, you drive for almost an hour and get there 30 minutes before the time they tell you, they take the clothes from the woman in front of you and tell you "we just took our last box." The woman in front of me was the same race as most of the workers also (different from mine), which seems questionable. Terrible store. The clothes I had were in much better shape than the ones they took so customers lost out on better quality clothes. (Not being a snob; being factual) Plus, I do agree with a previous review about the low payout for clothing. read more

The staff is rude. You'll wait at the counter and someone will ask someone else to ring you up, then that person comes and barely acknowledges you. If you sold something they'll spit out the script about what little they're offering on what they're taking and why they passed on other things. There will be a line through the store and they'll have one, MAYBE two registers open. Expect Walmart type service. read more

The store is clean and has space! Unlike other OUAC stores! They gave me a fair price for mu daighters clothes. By far my favorite OUAC!
