The entire staff especially the Mgr has NO RESPECT 4 Senior Citizens or the handicapped. NO one would help us carry in a large Tub w/children's clothes 2 sell as we have done 4 years. 2 girls were standing there doing nothing & repeatedly I was told "NO, we can't help." What the heck?? I plan on reporting them 2 the Americans Disability Act Dept &whatever else I can do. The Front doors, aisles & the entire store DOES NOT COMPLY. read more

This store is a real blessing to the community. I love getting my one-year-old and eight-year-old clothing, shoes, toys, sports needs, books, and even gifts here. I'm glad to say I haven't had a negative experience here, and I've come a few times. I have tried to sell clothes but I always went when their purchasing counter was closed, so I gave up on that and just donate my children's clothes instead. I have been able to find some great quality, gently used and new clothing for my children, as well as brand new shoes! They grow everything out so quickly and play hard with the rest of their stuff, so having Once Upon a Child as an option makes perfect sense for our family. The employees (although sparse) have been helpful and friendly each time. The only thing I've found frustrating is their shoe bins. Not all of them are labeled and even when they are, the bins are full of shoes in the wrong sizes. I've found a few pairs I was excited about only to realize they aren't the correct size. read more

Wish I could leave 0 stars. This store is always a mess - tubs all over the floor, no clear path for a stroller or cart. The employees are so unprofessional and never greet you, always carrying on loud personal conversations. Tons of clothes have stains on them. Do not recommend. read more

Disappointed is an understatement. My husband and I brought in some of my daughter's toys that she no longer plays with. We had 9 bags/units. We checked in at 12:32pm and were told it would be a 25-35 minute wait. We decided to grab lunch while we waited. At 2:01pm we still hadn't received a text so I called. The woman I spoke to told me that we had dropped off during a rush and that there was 7 buys ahead of me and that it would be a while before mine would be gone through but it would be done before 4pm. I was a little aggravated but I understand being busy. 9 minutes later I get a text stating that my offer was ready to be picked up. We headed that way. Upon walking in I saw my bags in the exact same place that I left them. With a few things from the top missing. I was helped by a young lady that couldn't make eye contact and looked like she hated her job. I was quickly told that they were offering me $23.xx for the items. I didn't know which items since nothing was brought over to the register to be shown to me. I asked to see what they were keeping and after a huff the young lady went and got some of it. Looking at the bucket I was already unhappy, but then another lady chimed in saying they were keeping the play mat and walker as well. I know they have to make money, I completely understand that, but the website says they pay you 30-50% of retail. I looked up all the retail prices for my items and they add up to over $400. They offered me less than 10%. When I brought up the fact that it only took 9 minutes after I called and was told that it would be a while yet another woman chimed in and stated that I was moved to the front of the line because I had called. That still makes no sense. There is no way everything I brought in could have been gone through that fast. I stated I wanted to take all of my items back and the bucket was shoved at me. Like I said, disappointed is an understatement statement. I will not bring anything here again nor will I be shopping here. read more

If I could of put no starts I would of. I was told my clothes were stained and had wear. I know none of them were stained and every single piece of clothing was folded neatly. I love this store. I only wish I had discovered it earlier. I don't usually visit "thrift" stores, but this place is anything but. Great selection of gently used children's clothing at great prices. My girls are usually so picky about their clothing, but they found all kinds of name brands that I would have spent so much more on if buying new. read more

If I could give a negative star/ number then I would. I picked up an item for purchase that was marked with a $10 price tag. The cashier called over the store manager to inform me that "some kid must have put that tag on there" and that she would not sell it for that price. She then had 2 more excuses, not reasons as to how some random customer had messed up the price. She did offer me a 20% discount. I declined to purchase the item for more than the listed price and declined to sell any items to them. This was the third time in a row that I've had a similar experience at this location. I expect transparency and honesty with the small businesses that I deal with. I don't like being at businesses where the customer is blamed. I don't want to have to call the manager each time because of store inefficiency. I didn't ask for the manager at any time that I've visited. I just wanted to purchase the items as listed. read more

I've only been here twice and my first visit was wonderful, but this morning was terrible. I arrived around 10 to sell a couple things. The girls behind the counter told me about a 30 minute wait. I took my 2.5 year old son around the store to look around. I ended up buying a couple things and leaving because my son starting throwing a fit 45 minutes later. I went to my car in the parking lot to wait (since they still hadn't gotten to my two items yet). I called and they finally had looked at my items about an hour and fifteen minutes since the start. I'm not upset about that, I know they were busy, just would like to have gotten a better estimated wait time. When I went to hopefully pick up money for these two items I tried to sell, the girl behind he counter (not the cashier-she was very friendly-one of the girls working the sell counter) was very rude to me. She told me they would take neither of my items- the diaper pail-they had too many, so I understand no worries. The booster seat, she said all the straps weren't there, which I showed her were all there. She told me to then put the straps in the strap holes (I already had them in the holes but there were extra holes you can put them through if you so choose to). I have never even opened the package for the extra straps or needed to use them because there is already 3 straps through the middle. Also the spot she wanted the straps through was the spot you put the tray that it comes with. Anyways I went to show her that but she rudely said that she was too busy to deal with this so I stopped what I was doing and grabbed my stuff and left. I will never come back to this once upon a child and I wish I never spent money here today. read more
