Today we went to try and get Needohs for my daughter. The owner was hovering over us, telling us to put them back on shelves, not to "poke" them (they are in boxes... so not sure what that's about). My daughter went back in later that afternoon because she wanted to ask if she could buy 2 for her brothers even if she had already been in previously. I was on a call so sent her in with my card. The employee at the front cashier said no problem go grab the ones she wanted for her brothers. When she went back there the owner berated her, told her "this is why we have limits because of people like you"... sorry but we aren't resellers, we aren't even collectors... she just wanted a Needoh and one each for her siblings. We literally stopped in on a whim. Shame on ownership. My daughter is 11 and was in tears after the incident. We won't be back and I encourage others who frequent this store to consider who they are spending their money with. Disgusting behavior.

I shop here regularly and truly enjoy the experience. The Village Store is part of our quaint Main Street area not to be overlooked. You can shop for housewares, local foods, boutique clothing and jewelry, toys, Lake Life and Lake Norman local gifty items, like tshirts, pillows, tea towels, etc. There is so much to look at here, and trust me, you will find something you love! The staff there is very friendly and the store is so well stocked. The prices are very fair compared to other boutique style stores, but I'd say the Village Store has the biggest selection of home and gift items in the Lake area. They have begun putting out their fall decor, and they really have some beautiful displays during the Christmas season. I really enjoy shopping here.

The store is largely furniture and decor with all kinds of design ideas throughout and they also have a section with local candles, sauces, apparel, salsa, coffee, etc. We purchased some cherries for old-fashioned drinks and a peach salsa made right in Davidson. Great place to check out while in the area!

Unfortunately I couldn't get them out in the mail in time due to being extraordinarily busy at work and having some health issues. To come back to your store with returns AND my receipt to only be offered a store credit with the amount that I spent is shameful and greedy. I don't have all the money in the world and I select your store for gifts because of what you offer. I will no longer be shopping there. When do you tell your customers about your return policy? You don't. Faintly at the bottom of a receipt AFTER purchase? Who looks at that? You are tricking people and it's poor business practice. You get to take my money and do whatever you want with it instead of refunding it to me so I can do e-cards to my friends instead. But that won't happen because you have my money. I hope you sleep well at night knowing you are taking advantage of people. Boycotting this store for good.
