I took in several items 95% of my items were new with tags. Unfortunately this warranted my sales price to be $7.00 even. I'm not pressed for money but, definitely know when I'm being ripped off. I am heartbroken by our experience at this Once Upon A Child location. While we were in the toy section, an employee became visibly angry and aggressively threw toys into the bins and onto the shelves. She then loudly told us that the girls could play with the toys but couldn't take them out of the bins--even though my daughters had just arrived and were not the ones who made the mess. Her behavior terrified my children. They immediately started screaming and crying and were afraid whenever she came near them. As a mother, it was heartbreaking to witness. What hurts the most is that this has continued even after we left. My children have been having nightmares about this incident. No child should leave a children's store feeling scared and emotionally distressed. I have reported this to corporate and hope this incident is taken seriously so no other family has to experience what ours did. read more

I called to ask what they were taking in. I was told to bring clothes neatly folded on a clothes hamper. I show up and they are passing clothes hamper to put clothes in laid out. While im doing that I get approached by another worker and she tells me with an attitude how they are being selective. I brought other items and very rudely she said it was stained in a loud voice. Which I'm ok with the passing on stuff. But the manner they talk to ppl is disrespectful. They gave me almost all my clothes back saying they were stained. I know that those items were not stained. These people are real scammers, they buy items at ridiculous prices and resell at a very high cost, I would say 15 times more than the price they offer to sellers. I'd rather make a donation than go there. I sold items I bought on Amazon that my children have never used or barely worn, more than 15 items in very good conditions, I could never imagine receiving 10 dollars and a few cents for items that cost me hundreds of dollars, it's theft. Not to mention that I spent 1:15 minutes there before everything was finalized. Friendly staff, great place to sell gently used children's clothes. I wouldn't go anywhere else to sell clothes, I've had a great experience, they have an organized system and it's easy. The hardest part is waiting, depending on how many people are ahead of you. Go early and during the week! What they mostly need or maybe pay more for is Youth sizes of 5-20. I organized six boxes of clothes to sell at this location. I made sure to fully read their website to make sure I did everything right. Their website clearly says the clothes need to be neatly folded or laid flat. I spent a long time neatly folding everything. I got to the store and waited in line just to be told that they won't take anything that's not laid flat. When I showed them the website stating that they could be neatly folded the staff told me that every store makes their own rules. If I could I would give zero stars. If your not careful and forgetful of what your selling they will rob you of your items. I have more than once have brought Nike Addis Jordan name NAME BRANDS in shoes especially and they straight up stolen them or down right gave me $1.50 when they put the shoes on the shelf for $20-$25-$30 and quite possible more. This was our first time at this location seeing how we just moved to the area. I can't believe I even have to leave a review, insane. We will certainly not be returning. They took 4 shirts and gave us $10. We brought in 4 large bags of clothes, mostly name brand, all freshly washed and folded. Not needing/liking the clothes is one thing, but the reason listed at the bottom of our receipt per their manager who has zero customer service skills and a horrendous, off putting demeanor, was because some of the clothes were "inside out". Two of the cashiers were in shock and even laughed, admitting it was ridiculous and they had never heard of that before either. The manager is the one who went through the clothing and made the final decision. There may have been some things inside out, but I'm certain that over 85% of the clothes were definitely not. And even if so, that is pure laziness to not open or look at clothing because it is inside out? I have been to countless locations to buy/sell and that has never happened to me once. Not to mention, she shoved everything in a large pink GARBAGE bag UNFOLDED to return to us. Therefore, I now have to REFOLD every single thing to attempt to bring it to another location. This is a second hand store that only carries kid's clothes which makes this business just brilliant! I came here usually to purchase large baby items and once again here I am for dance items for both my kiddos. A dance parent recommended for me to come here and purchase my kid's both tap and ballet shoes at a more reasonable price since I had to purchase 4 pairs of shoes in total. Now they might not have EVERYTHING you may be in search for but if you do it saves you quite some bucks! The staff is kind and is willing to help even if they try to look for it in the non displayed inventory if you tell them what specific item you are searching for. I do like that even though their items are used, they are in great condition and for the price you honestly cannot complain. While shopping I asked an employee what the yellow clearance sticker meant. She told me it was an extra 20% off. Sweet, so I grabbed a few more items than originally planning. I come here often as my children grow out of their clothes. The store is well organized and neat to shuffle through and find things. You have a good variety of sizing to select from. If you're selling items keep in mind that they will push you back for others with less baskets even if you were the first in the store and keep doing so till there's not anyone selling less than you but that just to keep the flow going and not hold a long line waiting. read more

First time at a store like this. Showed up on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by the rudest employee who couldn't be bothered to have an uninterrupted conversation with me. I was told they don't accept some items we brought, despite what the website says. Fine. I was also informed that a Beco baby carrier (retails new for $75) would not be accepted because it's part of a car seat. What? Weird, incorrect, but not worth the argument. Brought a total of 50 pieces of name brand baby clothes (some Ralph Lauren still with tags) and was offered $58. Overall it's greater than the $0 I would get from donating but would've been a better experience with more pleasant staff. I love this place for what it is- a way to get the adorable clothes you want for your child way cheaper than buying new. We have a 6 month old. When I buy him things, I know they will be out grown quickly. I love buying him adorable dress clothes and gingham rompers. You cannot find those for less than $15. Yesterday I bought 5 for $20. They even have clearance. Some baby gear is majorly over priced but you will find bargains. If I'm buying used I want to spend 50% of current retail price. I went looking for a play yard. They had 2- one dirty, one gross and worn out. The item I wanted's cost at buybuy baby is about $60 and theirs are marked $40. After finding a $15 off coupon and having a gift card I decided I'd rather go with buybuy baby. A used item has less life left in it. I have however bought new-in-box baby toys for 30% of retail there. And my favorite carrier, a jj cole agility, NIB for $10! I can baby wear outside, in our heat, and not be miserable. In the past few weeks I have spent almost $400 in the store. They have good prices and good things for the money. The staff on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. Very unprofessional, not particularly friendly and my last straw was I couldn't check out until they finished their non-work related conversation. The woman in front of me left her stuff on the counter and walked out. She was so frustrated. This is an issue that needs to be looked at and addressed and changed by their corporate office. This was my first time selling. It mostly likely will be my last time. I had two size 14 girls leather jackets (different colors) and they accepted one and not the other. Second, I had a nice pair of boys UMI suede boots that had been worn at the most 5 times. These were 65 dollar boots. The associate said they weren't needed. She went on to say they were a little worn and she would offer me $2. Really, when there were several pair of other shoes that obviously had seen better days in the bins. Another example, I purchase several sweaters there in the summer, they still had tags on them from my purchase. They were not accepted. Mind blowing to the rhyme or reason in what they agree to purchase and what they do not want. I am not sure if I will ever sell again because of this. Would give 0 stars if I could. I've shopped there for years but the one time I take my kids clothes in to resale & ive never been so disappointed in my whole life!! I brought in a box full of denim jeans, black jeans (Levi, wrangler etc) perfect condition look like they were never worn all ironed & sorted & they gave me back 30 pair of jeans in perfect condition they refused to take. They gave them back wrinkled!! I had to re-iron them once I got them home & they don't even care!! I called today to complain & the manager conveniently was not there (middle of the day mind you!!) & I said I'd never shop in there again & sales associate said "ok, that's fine" & hung up!! I usually don't complain but I took 2 boxes in to once upon a child Copperfield & 1 box to once upon a child willowbrook (other boxes were name brand polo, nautica, Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole etc) pants shorts & boots/shoes/sandals even red Jordan's & they gave me 53$ for one box of jeans 55$ for the other 2 boxes & the boxes came box nearly full & everything thrown in there wrinkled!! I spent 2 hours to lay everything back out flat , iron & go back through the boxes!! I had 6 boxes to sale of boys clothes mint condition (I donated most of my boys things to goodwill & kept the best to take to resale) & I was going to take them to other resale shops today but I had to instead spend my whole day ironing & re-boxing. It's like there's zero respect for your stuff there!! Im super irritated!! I honestly needed the money & was willing to accept what I was given, but this is 11 years of buying clothes for my boys some of these things have tags on them never worn!! I have 3 boys & my smallest is 3 & has nonverbal autism not potty trained so I'm trying to let go of pants or jeans he isn't able to wear as well as all of his things from 0-3 months up til 3t!! The new 1960 location is great; very clean and extremely organized. The employees were wonderful as well. They were very happy to help and seemed to enjoy being there. They greeted us right away, got us signed in and started looking at our resales quickly. My children and I shopped the store while we waited and found some great deals. They offered to take several items and wrote out a check for the difference of the clothes we purchased. I have been to other resale shops and gladly give this one 5 stars. read more

Do NOT go to this location. They do not buy back any onesies (unless they are in a set), sleepers, pants, or jeans for babies clothes. If you want a better store I recommend their competitors. The location off of 1960 has this same absurd policy so may want to avoid this location as well. They are also grossly overpriced and will only buy new clothes with tags.
